sushi Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I haven't gotten the chance, but I really wanted to say thank you, greg. I have come to realize just how much work you do on this forum, and you don't get enough thanks for it. Most people wouldn't be bothered.
galgat Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 These are the instructions I give in my doc file, or front page of my Mods. If the people do not understand how to use OBMM to get there load order like this then they are screwed. YOu must be able to use OBMM very well to keep Load orders correct. if you do not understand OBMM, or WryBash [ which is one I do not use as much as OBMM] but it can do the same things as OBMM, and is actually maybe better or fuller in its abilities. Becoming dependent on BOSS or Bash Patches or other [ I will fix it for you program's ]... is like letting your 7 year old Brother drive your car for you...( Maybe he won't reck it or maybe he will. ) anyway I find these instructions to be as base as I can get, and about as solid as can be given, there are just to many mods that don't like each other or need to be above or below another mod to work. There are also to many mods that took another mod to make there's or combined three other mods to make there ultra Mod and by renaming them or combining them have cause untold trouble. because many people will be trying to run the same mod 2 or 3 times in there load order. so these instructions that I give are about as good I think as can be given. and then those that truly wish to make them work, and have trouble Must hit the forum's and use a lot of trial and Error testing. *****************************************************INSTALLATION : Just drop the files in the package folder into you Data folder inside your Oblivion Folder.[ Oblivion\Data ] let it write its self in, this mod should not over write any main game files.THESE IN OBLIVION/DATA FOLDER: Meshes,Sound,Textures,LoversCrowningIsle.esp.and the CrowningIsleDoc1.03.06E.txt or PatchDoc where ever you want to read it.Maybe this will help you with the load Order, It is generalized, Not set in stone. But very close to always being right for LoversPK modsat the top of load order00 Oblivion.esm << This one always top01 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed.esm << this one above the other 402 x117race.esm <<This one above the other 303 Lovers with PK.esm << above the other 204 LoversCreature.esm << above the other 105 BreakUndies.esmthis area below here is where your lovers PK Mods will goand for the most part all your other modsNew mods like mine go right above setbody Or most any new mod your are testingfor the first time, latter you may move it up, and also check if doc file informs you ofany Mod it should be above or below, but be aware that many modders because they aways wantthere mod to work will tell you place it at bottom, its a cheap shot, but a lot do it I don't know how many times i have seen that I suppose every mod ever made for Oblivionhas to be Placed at the bottom of your load order, "" Now how it that going to work ??""Please understand LoversPK, and it's components are not a mod, they are a GameEngine with functions { A child Engine of the Master Oblivion Engine}, just like UDK or dooms engine you can not put your Engine in the back seat, and expect to drive off with out a lot of Bailing wire,The load order is extremely important.32 SetBody.esp[these are all MBP]33 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged Hair Modules.esp34 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged Eye Modules.esp35 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Chocolate Elves.esp36 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Vanilla Race.esp37 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed MS Elves - NoSc.esp38 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Cute Elves.esp39 Beautiful People 2ch-Ed CustomRace.esp3A Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Disable BandBlindMask.esp3B Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Nec Mystic High Elf Remake.esp3C Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Merged SKSRENs Hair Modules.esp3D x117 Merged SKSRENs Hair Modules.esp3E Beautiful People 2ch-Ed Sheogorath Eye.esp3F Real_Mannequin.esp << this not actually MBP, but normally comes with the OMOD[i very, very seldom ever place any mod of any kind here][it defeat's MBP's ability to fix the Look of the People in that mod]40 Lovers with PK.esp [Version 96]41 LoversCreature.esp42 LoversMB2.esp43 Lovers3dorgasmMB2.esp44 LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp45 LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp46 Lovers3dorgasm.espnothing below here these 7 ESP always at bottomThen Activate the .ESPFor the most part this is pretty much always right, but there are exceptions,And for those you will have a lot of trial and error.***************************************************** I don't think this load order problem can ever fully be resolved until there are no new mods or updates to Mods being made. dr_rsc Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Linking people to this thread is pointless: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/4487-please-read-before-posting-here/?p=100862 . It lists an "example" load order that is almost a year and a half out of date. Almost completely irrelevant, and totally misleading. Asking someone (particularly somebody new to Lovers) to fix their game by following this recommended load order is about the same as asking them to make ice cubes in a toaster. Searching Google for "Lover's with PK Load Order" returns examples that are two years old - and even older... Even less helpful... LoversSetBody.esp <----NOTE: This plugin is outdated. I don't recommend folks use it anymore! LoversAphrodisia.esp <----NOTE: This plugin is outdated. I don't recommend folks use it anymore! LoversAphrodisiaHUD.esp <----NOTE: This plugin is outdated. I don't recommend folks use it anymore! LoversFSE.esp <----NOTE: This plugin is outdated. I don't recommend folks use it anymore! LoversDRader.esp ??? I never used it. LoversRapeman.esp ??? I never used it. LoversSummonRapeman.esp ??? Never used... LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp LoversVoiceSSPplus.esp LoversRaperS.esp --- Better versions available. See WappyOne. Put his mod here. Works fine. Works better. LoversJoburg.esp --- See above. Better versions available. Good enough slot, though. LoversJoburg NoDelay Addon.esp --- Really? Why would you want to be annoyed this much unless you are 11. LoversJealousy.esp --- Meh. Anywhere, but mostly useless. LoversBed.esp --- Anywhere if you have the right version. The old one is the best. LoversBednonstop.esp --- Why would you use this? Using the wrong version of Lover's Bed and this mod will make your Toon have sex with anyone who is sleeping - or even just sitting in a chair. A nightmare mod. LoversPayBandit.esp --- Putting this here and using Player Slave Encounters and the Pay Bandit Patch breaks everything. See below. LoversPower.esp --- What is this? LoversContraception.esp --- Only needed for Tomago/Hiyoko - or whatever they are called. I do not use them. NPCs do not generally get pregnant. LoversNTRburglar.esp --- Fun plugin, but pointless. Lovers with PK.esp --- Kind of important. I think you might need this one LoversBitch.esp --- Use Lover's Bitch Gone Wild. Do not use the old version. Thanks, fejeena! LoversCreature.esp --- Works fine right here, but is complicated (for now) to install correctly. Lovers with PK Extender.esp --- This is correct location. Works for me. Love it. Personal choice. LoversSoundCreature.esp --- ??? LoversCreature_SexualOrgans.esp --- Irrelevant thanks to fejeena. LoversCreature_SexualOrgans_Dogs.esp - Irrelevant thanks to fejeena. LoversCreatureVoiceForceEnabler.esp --- ??? LoversBrothel.esp --- ??? REALLY? LoversStopCombatEx.esp --- The core Lover's files already have an option for this. A pretty important option, but a useless mod. LoversSpermSplashEx.esp --- Pointless, but meh. I use it. Basically does the same thing that Lover's with Pk already does. LoversEscapeRapeVPlayer.esp --- A mod that does the same thing as thirty other mods. LoversRapeStruggle.esp --- Is this relevant? Never tried it. Animations have changed since 1929, so I do not know if it works one way or the other. LoversRapeSlave.esp --- A mainstay for me. Still seems to work. LoversAdultYield.esp --- ??? LoversMagic.esp --- ??? LoversUnicorn.esp --- Never tried it. LoversSlaveTrader.esp --- Yup. Gotta have it. Put 'er here and she works. LSTBravilUnderground.esp --- Yup. Gotta have it. Put her here and she works just fine. LoversPayBanditForSlaver.esp --- ??? What year is this? Been replaced by the new Pay Bandit, no? LoversImmoralSisters.esp --- I never put it in this slot, but it should work anywhere below Lover's w/ PK. LoversMS14netori.esp --- Never tried it. LoversSexKariBurne.esp --- Never tried it. PlayerSlaveEncounters_V0.(any).esp. This is EXACTLY where it should be. LAST above you LoversIdleAnim(etc) and LoversAnimObjects(etc). But - because of the patch needed to make it work with PayBandit (which does NOT work well this low in your load order) - PSE needs to be placed waaaaaaaay above your Lover's with PK esp. BAD IDEA with all captal letters and many exclamation marks. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I COULD make another spoiler to list all the "new" mods that make almost every recommended load order irrelevant, but I will just link this soon to be one year old thread: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10681-beta-versions-of-lovers-plugins/ Many of these mods are now OLD themselves, and yet they are STILL NOT LISTED in the recommended load order. These recommended load orders are useless. There are mods listed that will NOT - under any circumstances - function with the new animations and new revisions / versions of Lover's with PK - no matter where you stick 'em. Does anyone ever wonder why people who get chewed out for having an incorrect load order never come back? They whine. They complain. They get angry. They leave. Because you have broken their game more than it already was by telling them to follow a load order that does not include ANY of the mods they are using. Stop recommending ancient load orders - and stop chewing out newbs when their game doesn't work when they try to use mods that are not isted in ANY load order. Eat some meat and make a new load order. Or don't. garcemac makes a great point - linking to a page that has mostly unheard of mods in the load order isn't all that helpful. often ive noticed when a person is having a problem, no matter what the problem may be, it seems as though some rail against the whomever is asking the question and sending them back to a link about load order which could be totally irrelevant but getting back to load order, ive found these rules to be helpful (posted here by i dont remember who): 3E LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp 3F LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp These two need to be at the bottom, ALWAYS. Another culprit i could think of, is any plugin that modifies animations. For example, for testing i'd try to turn sensual walks off, even though it should cause no issues -in theory-. As for loadorder - as a rough guideline: 1. patches and DLC 2. Race stuff and equipment mods. 3. Other stuff 4. Lovers stuff 5. High priority stuff (select carefully, and avoid anything big or complex here) 6. Optional: Bashed patch 7. IdleAnimsPriority and AnimObjects Priority Doing it in about this order tends to be the most robust, but there is a downside to it: Should you ever decide to use Tamago, then whenever you add or remove another mod, tamago's data might get so corrupted that a tamago data reset is needed. This is because tamago wants a static position in the loadorder. Say, it initially is at position #20. If now mods above it are inserted or removed, its position might change, in which case it might no longer find its own data in the savegame. ****something that ive found is at least as important is to try and note the 'master' (esm) and try and keep the esp as close as feasible**** the above usually works for me anyway
gregathit Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 The example load order still works fine, I don't know what the fuss is about.
varenne Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I don't either. But then the pointed to link for an example load order is just that, one example that has proven to work for many. Are there others that also work? Yes, absolutely. I also don't agree with not at least becoming familiar with BOSS and the master file structure. There is a logical ordering of MODs that will simply make everything work better, especially as you get into larger more complex Oblivion builds. I also don't agree with OBMM being more powerful than Wrye Bash. OBMM also doesn't as far as I know have tags like WB, AND some MODs in order to work correctly require it. Really that simple. I know as I avoided using WB for the longest time. But now that I am no one can convince me to go back to just OBMM.
D_ManXX2 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Building a fool proof load order is not as easy as it sounds. You need to understand the basic for modding first before you will understand how to place your load order and even then you need to take into account that the mod lower then the other will take precedent over the other. That is always the basic for any load order. Because of this concept they invented the wrey bash ( Bash patch ) Normally if you have 2 mods who changes the leveled list and mod lower then the other one will override the other and what happens is 2 incompatible mods. To fix this you need to add the leveled list all within the bash patch and that will override all the other leveled lists in your load order. Making them compatible again. But this concept will not work for every mods. Especially scripted once. That is why they need to be placed lower then the bash patch. And never bash them in or the scripts will break because of this concept.
Reine Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I think the problem isn't really that the "recommended" load order is out of date with old mods, it is that it lacks a lot of the more recent additions to the Lovers catalog. Things like Hiyoko Brood Mother, Daedra Seed, StalkerM, and a few others aren't mentioned in the list. Would be nice to have everything (past and present) added into the list.
fejeena Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 The exact load order for Hiyoko Brood Mother is mentioned on the Hiyoko Brood Mother page. StalkerM is a Joburg replacer so should be fine at the Joburg Position. And for all Lovers Mods that are not in the list you must only read the last green sentence. NOTE: Any Lovers with PK plugin not on the above list should be safe to install just above Setbody.esp - unless the mod author has a specific load order mentioned in the OP or readme.txt of their plugin.
RitualClarity Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 And after you get the general load order... post it ( in a spoiler please) and ask if there is any needs for improvement.. . Doubt anybody new to Oblivion mods (like myself somewhat newer) will get the load order correct the first time. Experts can chime in and get it "just right" .. Key here is go follow the general guidelines as close as possible. If you list a total mess.. it is very likely you won't get very good help. Most of what is needed is there. The last time I did this.. I was able to get pretty close to the desired load order with only those few new or addeded mods that needed tweaking. Truth be told I had more difficulty getting the settings in game (hud) to the way I wanted...
Killzone250 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Old load order works perfectly well, with any newer Lover based mods placed above setbody. I agree with others that you need to really have a basic understanding of OBMM and wrye bash if you want to add mods to your game or you will eventually run into big problems. Also the ability to read ReadMe files that come with mods is essential. I would also recommend learning to use the Construction Set Extended version and Tes4Edit. I personally wouldn't touch BOSS with a barge pole, not if you are in these forums and using Lovers mods.
RitualClarity Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I agree with others that you need to really have a basic understanding of OBMM and wrye bash if you want to add mods to your game or you will eventually run into big problems. Yes. I agree and can attest that this is needed. My last attempt at modding Oblivion failed. I thought because of mods and such but now understand that I needed to merge some of the lovers and required mods to get the stability and functionality that I desired. I had one but had done it wrong and didn't know it. Trust me next time I have modded Oblivion.. I will have a proper patch.
varenne Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I think the problem isn't really that the "recommended" load order is out of date with old mods, it is that it lacks a lot of the more recent additions to the Lovers catalog. Things like Hiyoko Brood Mother, Daedra Seed, StalkerM, and a few others aren't mentioned in the list. Would be nice to have everything (past and present) added into the list. I don't see this as being feasible. Already we have something called BOSS with it's associated master list AND a the ability to create and make use of a personal user list, yet none or very few make use of it. (And BOSS seems to be a pariah of most, I doubt we need to create yet another one, even one scaled down.)Same holds true for members/users actually reading readme files. I agree with (over an unknown/specified period of time) learning about how Oblivion should and should not be MODed, how that itself is influenced by past and present MOD authors (good and not so good), and how the Oblivion tools work to address all of this is paramount to getting a moderately complex Oblivion build working properly. That said, trying to help the Plug & Play, I Want Immediate Gratification Generation of Oblivion users is a total exercise in futility. I've both stated and inferred this previously in past and recent posts. If these members don't want to do the requisite reading and research it's hopeless and pointless. They must be able to make the intuitive leap themselves. We can only provide but so much hand holding and guidance.
uiowebae Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 as much i as would agree that some info or load out examples are old and outdated they still have have a lot use to them "if it ain't broke don't fix it" may be a cliche but its true if anything older treads with the answers to most peoples problems show be be in the forefront and or make a database of them hell i would so far to say have a mantis sever for bug tracking for home grown mods and edits would help things but now that's just my inner pseudo it professional getting best of me, i can see both ends of the argument but have to agree with the "older" forum natives on this one hell even i am guilty of just skimming the read-mes but i also take time to search for the info i need, like a old war vet once told me, people like help those who can help themselves, take it in whatever context you want but it has some truth in this debate.
