Only a few. More tweaking, new enb palette and ugrids 7. Which looks really nice... though I am not sure I can keep it. I just can't play with anything below 60 fps. :(

Yes ladies and gentlemen, there were a grand total of six re-install's before figuring out that Mod Organizer was changing my priority order for some stupid reason so mods would end up being in front of each other when they couldn't have been. This had the effect of causing crashes that I was then unable to figure out because there was nothing actually wrong with my load order or the mods I was using, but was due to MO putting things where they shouldn't have been without me telling it to do so.  Thanks Mod Organizer!

So after fixing some Skyrim stability problems, I've finally got some shots to show.  There are a great many shots.  And just for fun lets count how many re-installs of Skyrim I did before realizing that Mod Organizer was the reason I was getting issues with stability.

Ok wow, that's the best your game has ever looked. I'm going to have to get with you to know what alterations you're making to NLA to make it look like that.

Thanks for the complement.

Its not just NLA.  It also helps that I'm running so many texture mods and I have done everything in my power to get my LOD's to look smashing.  The rest is pushing the .ini files in the right direction and there you have it.

I haven't made too many changes to NLA, but I can definitely tell you what I did.

Better then Crysis

The ENB I have is costing my computers soul...

It may just be my opinion, but I think that when done right, Skyrim can look better than any game ever made.  All it takes is the right mods.

Also, are you using one of the K ENB's?  Those ENB's are deadly.  Total performance killers and in my opinion, not worth the price for the visuals.

I'm using K ENB Pure Light, ever since i switched from RealVision, I couldn't be more amazed with my selection. I get 30 FPS with the quality version. I am perfectly fine with the death of -30fps my system is very well fit to handle it  :)

Well all in all, that's not too bad. Here's some ranting you don't have to read or agree with.

Here's the thing about the K series of ENB's. When I did my comparison shots with my 660 Ti a couple of months ago, K Pure Light gave me 7.1 FPS.  13.9 was the next lowest ENB FPS (set by on of the Aeon ENB's).  I now have a 980 so I could run K Pure Light.  But I've always been annoyed by something.

I'm of the mind that when done right, an ENB doesn't have to be taxing to be good.  K ENB has always felt to me like its intentionally taxing.  Its almost part of its brand, kind of like a status that its good because its taxing, much like a restaurant being exquisite because its expensive.  One of my favorite ENB's to this day is Rudy ENB.  It always looked amazing but even better was that it wasn't taxing at all (25.5 FPS when I compared it).

Don't get me wrong, K Pure Light is a very nice and well made ENB, but its always irked me that for all that bang, you get an ENB with no weather support or any compatibility to any interior lighting mods, and on top of all that, its the most taxing ENB you can get.  Its just always felt a bit unnecessary to me.  That being said, I can still appreciate the quality of K ENB and the shots taken with it.  I still think its a great ENB and people who use it are justified in their decisions.  Yet at the same time, I am of the mind that its performance hit is too much for just not enough in return.

Just my thoughts.  Don't agree with 'em.

Haven't posted in forever, but I want to share some things I've been working on in my free time.

I'm currently using Aceeq's SCO tropical because I got really tired of the constant cold setting. Plus it gives me more reason to have characters dress light (if you know what I mean). So from there stemmed my idea to create a beach resort off the northern coast of Skyrim. Inspiration taken from Tahiti and my love for the ocean as a Californian. I haven't gotten to the point where I'm ready to test the location within the game yet, so for now you get screenshots from my render window.

I plan to eventually have the resort populated by npc's who are there to relax and bathe in the sun, and if I know what I'm doing, get this to work with Lover's Comfort.

Correction, actually it does have weather support, anything that doesn't modify the lighting is supported. K ENB has its own weather system and lighting which is exactly why mods like ELFX and RLO are not suppoted. The weather system is free to modify, as long as no lighting comes with it, and again which is another reason why mods like Climates of Tamerial and Pure Weather is out of the question. I'm using the newest True Storms, to have better storms. He does say that the mod Relighting Skyrim is support, but not recommend. So, you have a 980? How big is the hit and what version are you using? Also whats your screen res?

Ok, well yes it has some weather support.  However, that's only in league with Skyrim's vanilla weather system.  Because it only adds onto the vanilla weather system, it can only do so much in terms of lighting and effects.  That's what I mean. NLA for instance changes lighting during sunrise and sunset in ways that the vanilla weather system can't do, and an ENB can't do by itself.  So it limits itself that way.  Its really not that big of a deal if you don't mind the way that Skyrim does its lighting and effects during weather, but it is a bit more limited then modded weathers.  Mods like COT add weathers that weren't in the vanilla game in addition to adding other effects.

Relighting Skyrim is basically the least intrusive of the lighting mods and that's why its almost always compatible with ENB's.  The problem again is that the vanilla system of lighting interiors was built in a very unrealistic way.  You get light coming out of nowhere and shadows don't get cast very well.  Relighting Skyrim does an okay job in some areas, but its not extreme enough. While ENB's can make interiors darker, they can't change how the light is cast in the room and how various lighting elements react.   Again, its not that big a deal if you don't mind it that way, but it does tend to be less interesting for shots.

I haven't used Pure Light in a long time, but I put in the quality version and found a place to do a comparison shot with it and NLA today.  I bumped up some settings on my version of NLA, so its a bit more taxing then the normal NLA. I'm using the quality version of Pure Light.

Here are the shots.

Sure, it looks good, but its not worth it to me.  31 FPS and I can't even see the sky? 31 FPS and the lens goes crazy every time I look at a light source (or even just grass)?  31 FPS and I can't even see where the sun is? I could turn off the bloom, the lens and a bunch of other things but then whats the point?  NLA is using all those effects and its not doing anything crazy.

Like I said, Pure Light is a good ENB and I have no problem with people who use it.  I just don't think its an ENB I will ever be a fan of because of how much a drop in performance it takes, and at the same time, it doesn't look all that much better.

Ok first off its called "Pure Light" for a reason. That effect in the sky is intentional, second, if you look up in the sky and look directly into the sun the sky around it becomes visible and so does the sun. Also the only reason why its intensive is becomes of what it does the textures around it. I mean seriously you can look at fucking rock and it will be aesthetic as hell. Also 31 FPS with a 980? That doesn't seem right... want 10 extra FPS? Turn off DOF, I kept DOF on for a while and realized that it was fucking with screenshots and is just annoying sometimes when you are trying to get a clear image, although it does add some realism. And whats your CPU? I tried K ENB on my Graphical and test bench got a solid 54 FPS, because Titan...

Antroxx41, we don't know each other... we'll probably never meet so I'm just going to say this, in case it hasn't been mentioned to you before... I don't think I've ever seen such a bloated signature anywhere, and not just on the internet but in my four decades of existence on this planet.

Obviously you have a nice rig and I'm sure it wasn't cheap... but some people don't react well to having all that information thrown in their face every time you post something. Why not just tuck some of that away on your profile page? That's what I did.

Geez dude, chill.  Wasn't knocking you or even the ENB.  If you don't agree with my opinion then that's fine, but getting riled up about it isn't the way to go either.

If you like your ENB then great.  Don't complain about it (which is what you were originally doing), and enjoy yourself.  I don't like Pure Light, and won't use it in my game.  Is that wrong?  That's not even to say that I don't enjoy seeing shots of it.  Hell, Kyo (the creator of the K ENB series) has some of the best shots around.  I enjoy seeing them.  But that doesn't mean I want to use it for myself.

What you do with your modding is totally up to you, and nothing I, or anyone says should dictate what you enjoy.  But there's absolutely no reason to get angry or even annoyed at someone else because they have a different opinion.  Life is too short to live like that.

You obviously have not been on to other places on the internet :/ and trust me I have seen worse. Don't know why you would call it bloated, I mean why look at it if you don't want to see it? I have never looked at a signature unless I wanted to find out more info. And to me its not that big, honestly I think its your screen res squeezing everything into a bunch cluttered shit. On my screen it looks straight and organized. If you don't like it then why don't you use the X button at the top right of the signature? you can ignore my signature.

I've a got a nice display so that's not the problem. I will take your advice, though, so I don't have to look at that design trainwreck.

Maybe you should add that piece of advice to your signature... if there's any room left?

I'll mention this, as someone pointed it out to me once when I used to have a bigger signature haha

These are the forum rules for signatures...

"Forum signatures must not be larger than 250 pixels high or 600 pixels wide. They must not contain any affiliate links, or links to links to paysites, and must be static (no gif). Signatures are allowed to contain pornographic content, as long as it is not anything deemed hardcore, which is up to the judgement of the site staff."

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/292-rules/?p=6248

Obviously I'm pushing the rules a bit myself...

Yes...I missed that...

(engage sarcasm)

Why didn't I just turn off the DOF?  I bet that's what all the pros do.  Just take the DOF that keeps ugly LOD textures at bay and is considered by many screenshot aficionados to be of utmost importance, and turn it off. Because that will make the game look better.

And of course the only time to take a shot of the sun or sky is when looking directly at it, because that frames a shot nicely.  And no, I had no idea it was called Pure Light for a reason...I thought it was just named that because it sounded cool.  I still can't believe that over-blooming and lighting the sky to crazy levels is an effect.  Truly, only a greater mind could comprehend such a thing.

And of course, I shouldn't have taken a shot of a windmill at sunrise.  Because that doesn't sound interesting or like it would make a good shot.  I should instead use all my modding expertise and knowledge to take shots of rocks.  Yep, that does sound better.

Obviously something must be wrong with my hardware, because I'm not getting as many frames per second as someone who has an entirely different computer.  It couldn't also be attributed to the fact that I'm running a much heavier load order (I can tell from your shots).  No that doesn't make a difference.

Or maybe I didn't miss anything, and maybe none of this matters because it really comes down to personal preference.  But who knows, maybe I need to be told what's right and wrong because I can't be allowed to have my own opinion.  So thank you so much for showing me the way Antroxx, I wouldn't know anything about mods, ENB's, or what my own personal preferences are without you.

(disengage sarcasm)

Hopefully my use of sarcasm wasn't too subtle.
