ao2thend Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 These first shots are Dovah Nakiin, and the last shots are another tweaking attempt by me (CR ENB this time). These next shots get (at least in my opinion) progressively more polished as you go farther down.
FluteyPoo Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 ao2thend your enb is great. I'm still trying to edit mine to look half decent.
ao2thend Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 ao2thend your enb is great. I'm still trying to edit mine to look half decent. Well it all depends on what .fx files the ENB has. CR ENB (the one I'm using for all the tweaking) is by far one of the most tweak-able ENB's out there because of the fact that all its .fx files are editable in the in-game GUI and are very, very flexible. The only thing I even changed is the DOF. Everything else is just in-game .fx tweaks.

The only thing I even changed is the DOF. Everything else is just in-game .fx tweaks. I think this is definitely a con for NLA, because I can't seem to change the enbpalette and a couple of other things, for further customization. If CR ENB had NLA weather additions I'd be about it.
ao2thend Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Well CR ENB's plugin was once upon a time an edited NLA.esp. Bigeyescarl (CR's Author) then added COT compatibility on top of that so CR ENB is technically some of NLA plus COT. I have no Idea how much of NLA still exists in CR currently, but I know at one point the weather plugins were rather close. But yes, NLA 2.0 is limiting in some annoying ways. Lastly, for the enbpalette, I think that all you have to do is enable UsePaletteTexture=true in the color correction section of the enbseries.ini. I tried to use a palette in my NLA mashup, but it went all wrong because of the way NLA works (I think confidence man is using some other coloring method) and it ended up being easier to just leave it alone.
Taskmaster Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Interesting. Also, whatever it is confidence man is doing or has done, that would explain why NLA has some of the best sunsets and sunrises I've ever had in my ENBs. As such, I kind of dont want to mess with the enbpalette now, haha.
ubasa Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 These certainly not as dramatic and atmospheric as many of the awesome screenshots in this threat, but here are a couple I've took after switching to Vanilla Ice Cream ENB

ao2thend Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Finally got around to putting these up. I did a lot of changes to my ENB and as such I split this into two sections. The first spoiler is new stuff that I took over the weekend and the second spoiler is stuff that I took ranging from ten or so days ago.
M.BISON Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 i was just wondering are most people here using COT?? with there ss?
ao2thend Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 i was just wondering are most people here using COT?? with there ss? I think that really depends on whether the ENB requires COT or not. I'm using COT because CR ENB needs it in order for the weathers to work properly, but other ENB's use different weather plugins.
M.BISON Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 last time i played skyrim i was using seasons of skyrim(with COT), plan on using it again but not sure if i should install cot this time on the mod page it doesnt mention anything about using cot i'll probably mess about with it this time i was wondering would you use it? if you had season enb installed?
Antrox Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 last time i played skyrim i was using seasons of skyrim(with COT), plan on using it again but not sure if i should install cot this time on the mod page it doesnt mention anything about using cot i'll probably mess about with it this time i was wondering would you use it? if you had season enb installed? Like ao2 said, most ENBs contain there own weather system; therefore are not compatible with CoT. Some ENBs dont specify whether something like CoT is required or not. In such a situation you can easily identify by downloading it and browsing its contents. The same problem people will run into is does the ENB need a lighting a mod or not. Something like this is also easy to identify not by downloading but how the ENB looks. Also by the fact that most ENBs today have their own lighting.
M.BISON Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 ahh okay...its just been so long since i last played, i forgot most things thanks both of you for the replies!
