Why didn't I just turn off the DOF? I bet that's what all the pros do. Just take the DOF that keeps ugly LOD textures at bay and is considered by many screenshot aficionados to be of utmost importance, and turn it off. Because that will make the game look better.

 

And of course the only time to take a shot of the sun or sky is when looking directly at it, because that frames a shot nicely. And no, I had no idea it was called Pure Light for a reason...I thought it was just named that because it sounded cool. I still can't believe that over-blooming and lighting the sky to crazy levels is an effect. Truly, only a greater mind could comprehend such a thing.

 

And of course, I shouldn't have taken a shot of a windmill at sunrise. Because that doesn't sound interesting or like it would make a good shot. I should instead use all my modding expertise and knowledge to take shots of rocks. Yep, that does sound better.

 

Obviously something must be wrong with my hardware, because I'm not getting as many frames per second as someone who has an entirely different computer. It couldn't also be attributed to the fact that I'm running a much heavier load order (I can tell from your shots). No that doesn't make a difference.

 

Or maybe I didn't miss anything, and maybe none of this matters because it really comes down to personal preference. But who knows, maybe I need to be told what's right and wrong because I can't be allowed to have my own opinion. So thank you so much for showing me the way Antroxx, I wouldn't know anything about mods, ENB's, or what my own personal preferences are without you.

Ok first off its called "Pure Light" for a reason. That effect in the sky is intentional

 

that's just enbsunsprite.tga and fx...

first screen is 4096*4096 sunsprite.tga from k (that is an edit of serenity tga, or is serenity tga an edit of that one?)

second screen it's resized to 1024*1024

the 1024*1024 sunsprite eat 1 fps, the 4096*4096 eat 3 fps

 

 

it can eat much more if you want

if you replace with the 1024*1024 tga from realvision (it would be the same fps as the 1024*1024 tga from k, if i didn't lost my position with those alt tab)

The reason why i switched away from the k enb's is because there are now mods and enb's that compliment sky's really well so it's almost a shame to use k enb. But there are parts that are really amazing, perfect for taking action shots. (some old K shots from me here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20830-the-beauty-of-skyrim/page-29?do=findComment&comment=969125 )

 

 

Anyway, growing slowly tired of this enb as there are many others i would like to try. Also anyone else here tried SRWE?

K ENB Increases texture quality from a distance. Anything can look like it has 4k textures (from a distance of course). That is one reason why the ENB is so intensive. And of course but i didn't mention I do have multiple texture mods.

99% sure what you're calling "increased texture quality" is the specific sharpening method that's used in Kyokushinoyama's ENBs (he's injecting an additional sharpening shader with FXAA injector or whatever it is called dead last, after SweetFX). Also he doesn't have the ENB AA enabled by default in the enblocal and only uses SMAA, so that's why shit appears sharper than with some other presets. If you compare the same stuff with NLA for example, the difference might get quite dramatic.

Yeah, in the world of Skyrim Screenshots, Gionight is atop the pile.  

 

A shame that the ENB won't ever be released, but its still awesome to look at those screens.
