In other words, just replace those data and you are panties!

[INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS]

First make a backup of all your GMPK game files, they are located at "...\binary\character" and its subfolders (among other files) and "...\binary\stage" and again its subfolders.

Then just copy the folders or GMPK files you want to replace. in all my folders you'll only find GMPK files, meaning that overwriing all will only replace the GMPK files and no other file type that might be near each GMPK. Also my remasters are modular, meaning you can install just the parts you want, and also from each of the 5 parts you might even choose which GMPK (or models) you wish to update to 2x manually and freely without having to worry, since each GMPK file it's independent of the others, so basically you can just copy or install the parts you want ?

Hello again, first of all, I'm really sorry because mediafire tells me my previous 2x remaster had almost 200 downloads, despite it being bugged. But sadly I don't have any means to test if it works as expected or not, since from a year ago my computer broke and even counting all the donations I received so far (since the last one for the hard drive I didn't had another one sadly...), I'm still very far to get enough for a new computer (at least I already have a good VA gaming screen from before it crashed and the new hard drive, which I'm using to make these new 2x remasters).

 

After looking more deeply in the JSON files generated by the awesome Gust Tools I've managed to discover what exactly are "Cube Maps", because Windows Explorer didn't make any thumbnails for those DDS textures and even after loading those images on IrfanView it appeared as a single texture, but Image Magick.NET, which I used to export as PNG to remaster them, exported them as a single image. But I just found that Paint.NET actually loads them properly, and measuring 4 x 3 the size of the texture shown by other tools, and shows 6 textures rotated like the sides of a cube actually. So I just skipped akl these and kept the original DDS files to avoid crashes, like the ones I was told a year ago with my first 

 

Also please note than the human models followed by the ghosts might be the ones with less noticeable changes because they already have several DDS textures at 4K in width or height, meaning those textures can't be processed, so I had to keep those ones as their original versions sadly. But I expect the worlds, levels or stages to be more noticeable since they had by default very low quality textures, mostly from 32 x 32 to 128 x 128, so the 2x remaster there will make a big difference hopefully. Also if you find a way to add textures with more than 4K please let me know and I'll update those ones too ?

 

This version of the 2x remaster should work 100% in theory since I only converted to 2x regular textures and "light maps" (gray scale textures that seem to define light reflection on objects), and I excluded (or kept the original DDS textures) the normal maps (mostly pink or purple textures with half alpha values that seem to give depth to objects that otherwise will look flat or smooth) as well as the cube maps, so these 2 excluded types might have caused on the first type some weird lines and on the second directly crashes when loading a bad replaced cube map, but not it's all fixed.

 

Honestly I don't know how to improve more these 2x remasters, so if again they don't work well perhaps I would need to look for another AI conversion software. I already got that one mentioned called waifu but I didn't checked it yet. So please do let me know if my new remasters work well or not, and of course if it ever crashes the game or again appear any weird lines or bad effects. Also remember that now with the full stages at 2x it might need a really big quantity of VRAM to load all the upscaled models. Thanks one again for all your help and have a wonderful day ?

It's a nice attempt. And it seems that you may have forgotten to remaster 2x version of the Swimsuits on WiiU platform. By the way, may I enquire you of the time taken by the procedure of increasing the resolution?

First off, thank you for the effort. I was actually waiting for you to finish this before I was going to play this game.

 

I have tested it a little bit, but sadly I already ran into a couple soft locks at the start:

 

- Opening the map makes the game soft lock.

- Sometimes opening doors makes the game soft lock.

- Approaching the door on the 2nd floor makes the game soft lock.

Oh sorry...because this tool is made by a Chinese...so I think the problem comes from the system language...

It just helps you replace the GMPK and SWG files by just a click, nothing else

I didn't forget about the remaster of the WiiU versions, as well as all the nude mods that have been published before here. I still plan on making a 2x and 4x of all of them, but I wanted to start with the "vanilla" PC remasters first at 2x.

How much VRAM do you have? Because even when I had 2 GB I had quite frequent crashes and frezees sadly. All the remaster takes lots of GB needed of VRAM now. But aside from that I can't think of a cause that might cause the game to be locked or frezee.

 

I used the latest version of Gust Tools to export all the vanilla GMPK files, then I just exported all the new G1T files and with my own tool I exported to PNG all the DDS textures by loading them with Image Magick.NET 8 bits x64 library. Then I remastered at 2x using Topaz Gigapixel AI without more additional conversion options. Then I just made another code to read the JSON files made by the Gust Tool G1T export to discard the Normal and Cube maps to keep the original DDS ones, just to avoid those types of crashes or locks. Then I just repacked again with both the same Gust Tools, so I have no clue of what it might be causing all this. Since a few others said they have VRAM to spare, I would be very thankful if someone with lots of VRAM and RAM could test this remaster too see if they also notice anything weird.

 

Finally I really want to fix any bug, but... How could I fix something like that since in theory it shouldn't happen? Because I assume Gust Tools worked without any error, and my tools apparently also didn't give any errors, or I wouldn't be able to load the PNGs into Gigapixel or to convert them back to DDs while keeping the original compressions. So basically I have 2 questions:

 

- How much VRAM and RAM do you have available?

- How many parts of the remaster did you test at once?

 

Because I have no idea of how much VRAM is actually needed for just the 2x remaster, but on my drive it's more than 50 GB everything uncompressed or loaded, so perhaps it needs like 16+ GB of VRAM? But again I have no clue to say a number for sure...

I have a 3080 Ti, so 12GB. And no, my VRAM wasn't even close to being full when I tried. For now, I tried all 5 parts together. I suspect it's the stages being the issue here though. I'll try with just that in a moment.

 

EDIT: Misread.

 

EDIT2: Just tried with ONLY the stages, and that gives me both the door and map soft locks. So I can safely say that's the issue here.

Thanks a lot for the testings, I'll double check all soon, but if all is as expected then I'm clueless on how to fix whatever causes that... Any ideas on how to fix that bugs are more than welcome ?

 

Then I would suggest to ignore the stages part for now... But any more feedback is once again welcome... Sadly without a proper PC I can't test it to debug it and find where is the problem ?

 

Edit: did you managed to test the other 4 parts without the stages to confirm that there are no more bugs on the other parts?

Also if you want me to make a remaster of the textures from any mod, either at 2x or 4x, please do let me know and I'll convert them. I might also convert mods "privately" if someone wishes to increase the quality of any mod. I only used the tools from my own basic modding kit I uploaded a few days ago plus a few of my own tools to make the whole remasters.
