Thank you for your answer! The only technical question I have right now is about merging the model, editing it, then exporting it after merging. It's my first mod I want to make but from what I've gathered, Fatal Frame is very picky about the models by how each character is split. I already know the basics of blender, I just never a done a model swap before nor found an advanced guide for it about this game that answer my doubts.

I already got setup G1M_exporter, Gust_tools and Noesis.

Should I worry too much about the poly count? How you manage to split the body again so the game takes it? What can I modify mindlessly and what I can't?

If you could link me any useful tips, I will appreciate it. I've read everything from this thread (including Jupisoft videos and explanations, it's just that his tool is extremely buggy, so I don't want to rely on it), Any external thread will be extremely helpful.

Sorry for double posting, I also want to add about how do I use the blender add-ons, as far as I know it has to do with something about transferring vertex groups but I have no idea how to do that (Lock vertex group present in VGMap & Select polygons using VGMap.)

Making a mod for Fatal Frame is same as making Ryza 2, as they are both developed by gust and use the same engine.


So you can read carefully what is written in the link above, which has the detailed method of using the plugin.


Also, @amorrow28 has written many detailed tutorials on making mods, so if you're new to making mods, you can learn it and it should solve your problem.

I see, thanks. Yeah, I was hoping for other resources, but I appreciate your answer. I was following this tutorial by him https://github.com/eArmada8/gust_stuff/wiki/Transferring-a-costume-from-one-character-or-game-to-another, but it's a bit outdated with the tools we have now, for example the models now don't import with empty vertex and the example he made is the same character just from a previous game so it's not that complex as changing the whole character, it kinda makes it hard to follow for what I'm trying to do.

You don't need to close the game in order to swap the files, just like Project Zero V.

Is there already a mod uploaded here to uncensor the game like this? I looked at the all the pages but couldn't spot it.

I recall in the xbox version (Director's Cut) they gave us a huge amount of costumes including these, for Mayu and Mio.

2. 合并模型。

如果你使用@amorrow28使用 g1mtools 工具,你会发现所有顶点组都已转换为骨架名称,因此我们可以直接合并网格。无需像以前那样查找和转换 vgmap。

3. 藏好碎片。

对于要删除的部分,只需直接删除相应的 fmt/ib/vb 文件即可。@amorrow28g1mtools 会自动处理,非常方便。

 

4.拆分模型。

@amorrow28正在尝试一种不需要拆分模型的方法,但尚未成功。

所以目前我们仍然需要拆分模型。


我以 Misaki 的模型为例来说明如何操作。
这里我需要修改网格 3 7 8 9。

 

首先使用以下命令解压缩 g1m 文件@amorrow28'凳子。

 

使用我自己的工具,FullVgmaps.exe,以扩展 *.vgmap 文件。

Liquidificador .ポートし、fmtファイルだけオリジナルのfmtに戻してリパック。

試したのはvb6とvb7で、ルカの身体ですが、リパック後の状態としては特に問題なさそうです・・・;
(身体のテクスチャーがよく見える様に水着の上の白い布は非表示にしています)

 

TEXCOORDを2つ追加した理由は、3DMigotoで抽出したvb+ibのfmtには必ず末尾にこれが書かれているからです。
(それ以外は同じ内容)

もう少し色々な衣装のモデルでも試してみますが・・・

Exportei como estava e recompactei apenas o arquivo fmt de volta ao formato original.

Eu testei as versões vb6 e vb7, o corpo do Luka, e ficou ótimo depois de recompactar... (a textura do corpo está boa).
(Escondi o tecido branco sobre o maiô para que você possa ver melhor a textura do corpo.)

 

O motivo de eu ter adicionado duas coordenadas de textura é porque o formato vb+ib extraído pelo 3DMigoto sempre tem isso no final.
(caso contrário, o conteúdo é o mesmo)

Vou testar em mais alguns modelos com roupas diferentes, mas...
