I don't remember the name of the original author, I claim no credit for this file, I'm simply uploading it here since the nexus banned it for no reason. It's supposed to make Sirona's voice sound less robotic. Enjoy.

install
Place the .pak into your
\Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods
if ~mods doest exist create one

Does exactly what you'd expect it to do. Only small bug is currently it breaks subtitles for Sirona as well but, eh, no huge deal.

Wdym? She is a trans character and is supposed to have a male sounding voice.

"Supposed to" is in the eye of the beholder.  With an attitude like that, this website wouldn't exist at all, since mods by definition change things about a game (meaning not how they're "supposed to be" as intended by the developer).

 

I want this character to have a female voice since it has a female body.  Simple as that.

That's the name of the original uploaded mod. Blame the author, not the one reuploading it.

It IS a bug. It's perfectly valid to view it as a bug and want to fix it. You typing some text into loverslab dot com doesn't change that.

 

The game has support for 13 languages. In two of those 13 languages, the game is bugged and the feminine character is voiced by a male voice. 

 

If the developers wanted the male voice to be part of the story, it would have been easy to voice it with a male in the other 11 languages too. They didn't. Because either it's a bug, or the beliefs that led to you and the English/German teams doing it on purpose are unpopular.

PAK name inside the archive is the same, so it's probably the same mod.

I am honestly glad I have managed to share this mod with you all since the Nexus is mental recently just banning things on a whim. I wanted to make sure that others were able to get this mod as well. Hopefully it's immersive enough for you all. Enjoy, gamers. ^_^

I cannot say as the game was too expensive for me to buy. I got the mod because I knew the Nexus would remove it and I wanted to have it for myself and my friends. Only later did I decide to share it with the community. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I wonder if Nexus would delete a mod that would change the character model of Sirona Ryan  to a more masculine one of color.

Reason is that I saw a mod for Cyberpunk than contained racial supremacy symbols that technically went against their TOS.

The mod itself is actually trans friendly, and just allows the magical trans woman to have a voice that better aligns with her gender. The problematic bit comes from calling it "bug fix".

 

I wonder if they would call the mod something like

 

"Sirona full gender transition mod"

 

and describe it as,

 

"This mod allows Sirona to use magic to change her voice that better aligns with her gender identity. This mod fully supports trans people, and their right to express themselves according to their gender identity. Especially in a fantasy world where this kind of transition would be easier due to magic.".

 

I think, that would phrase the mod in a positive light. Although it might already be too late, because if the original intention of the mod was transphobic, the mods might still not allow the mod anymore, even if it is clear it only supports trans people.

How about "this mod fixes the bug that exists ONLY in the English and German language options which causes Sirona's voice to not match her physical appearance"?

The problem is that, it can still be interpreted as transphobic, and could go with the implication that she never was trans in the first place. Like an attempt "to erase a trans character". I highly doubt it is a bug, it was a design choice, but clearly the devs don't see an issue with Sirona having a feminine voice, as most versions they gave her a feminine voice, and so both options should be valid alternatives.

 

The kind of wording I used in the comment above, is not implying the developers made a mistake, but just giving more options and support for a trans character being able to fully express and embrace their gender identity.

This did get some attention from a loon on steam claiming it was a keylogger. 

Ended up here due to researching said claim. I'm gonna go ahead and assume its a legit mod.

I would be careful about going on Steam forums about this game. Some inconsiderate and spiteful people are going around spoiling the ending for the game there, trying to purposefully ruin the experience for other people. I hear it also an issue on Reddit, though mods are a bit more active there, but still I would be careful. Already had it spoiled, by one such individual on the Steam forums.
