Thing is it's not even "Cis-washing"  the mod only slightly pitches up the voice so it still sounds like a transgender female woman.  It's just a more realistic transgender voice. As someone who's done vocal training to be able to present a more feminine voice even I found the default voice jarringly male.  I was like "Honey you need to do some vocal exercises". 

It doesn't detract from the character at all, it's just a personal preference thing. I didn't want to keep focusing on her voice instead of her story and what she was saying.

That makes no sense in a magical world. If she is indeed a trans character she is totally out of place. She wouldn't exist in England 1800s. and if something like that did come up she would use magic to turn himself into a real woman. All of that pre release drama buried much that is legitimate in the game. Even that Sirona is a trans character took time to actually surface, along with people believing Wendelin the Weird is JK burning...And happy with hot/cold fire to be accurate of the depiction. People seem to prefer to argue over something even when they are ignorant of key relative facts. Many seem to just want to call someone transphobe, and they forget that multiple views can be held by the same person. Me for example, err on the side of Rowling's statements(the few I've read which is only a few) and don't see those as hate or phobic, but I also believe in live and let live and people should be allowed to live how and as who they wish. So long as they are old enough to make that decision for themselves, I don't see any issue with it. Even as a Christian, though, I'm not ignorant to the facts there as many seem to be.

I don't remember the name of the original author, I claim no credit for this file, I'm simply uploading it here since the nexus banned it for no reason. It's supposed to make Sirona's voice sound less robotic. Enjoy.

Thanks for this.  It is silly how over-sensitive things can be these days.  Sure, some post to troll, but far from all.  I do feel that in a world with magic a voice could be changed, even in our mundane world simple voice training can help numerous people with a wide variety of issues related to voice, from people with stutters and slurs to those transitioning.

 

I also found it a bit disappointing the lack of character customisation -- when I was that age in school we came in all shapes and heights, in various stages of development into adulthood.  In HL we are all identical.  And the lack of even picking nose and eyes, only whole heads, was also a bit of a let-down.  Can't exactly put myself in the game as is, but, eh, I also play games with imagined characters (or I'd never play a Khajiit, ha!) so I can work with that.

Place the pak to Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\~mods.

Do not use it with the original mod as it will conflict.

This is a sfw modding discord, I didn't see any illegal content or anything asking for my phone number. Email is the only information that need for register a discord account.

I'll take a look at it soon, then.  My mistake if I was confusing it for the "diddling kids" Discords (yes, that's plural) that keep getting distributed around.
