xenic Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 This is just curiousity on my part. What was the one mod you saw or downloaded that you can't live without? For me, it's a toss up between Alternate Start and U.F.O.

Ghoulz Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I only play as elves in morrowind/oblivion/skyrim(mostly dunmer). Ethereal Elven Overhaul takes the cake.
GrimReaperCalls Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Either Frostfall or SkyRe. Probably SkyRe, since I can't play Skyrim without it now .
TresBlah Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 it's a toss between SkiUI (because of MCM) and Body Change
Spyder Arachnid Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I think one of my favorite mods that I ever downloaded, was the NPC Outfit Changer and Maintainer. Although now it is extremely outdated, it was one of my most prized mods. Being able to change any NPC's outfit, remove their default outfits, etc was something I couldn't live without. I hated having to use the console to give NPC's different outfits, and then having them reset sometimes. This mod made it so easy to just give NPC's any outfit and keep them in it. Otherwise it will have to be the Sexy Skyrim Set (Sexy Whiterun, Sexy Windhelm, Sexy Towns and Villages, Sexy Riften, etc etc). They make structures look so much more better. I could never look at Skyrim the same again without those overhauls.
Asakaze Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 For me it's ECE, haven't played without it ever since~
MikeMetal Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Interesting NPCs. A one man army dude creating quests with consequences and PROPER npcs, almost everything being lore friendly. He could shit on Bethesda from such a height, they would think Shor himself did it.
psammeticus Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Since SkyRe has been mentioned, Auto Harvest by towawot. It has made me very lazy... I don't stop for nuthin'.

srayesmanll Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Frankly, you guys have covered the main ones (AltStart, SkyUI, etc). Some others to add: 1) AFT - frankly any multifollower mods is necessary, take your pick (EFF, AFT, UFO, etc). I just like AFT for the auto outfit changing (standard, town, home). 2) a small but necessary one for me: Bandoliers - sure it lets you carry a friggin piano if you have all of the pouches and bandolier (not very logical) but they look good, and for mage or thief characters, backpacks realy don't look right to me. Plus you can carry a friggin piano. 3) Surprised no one mentioned RaceMenu.
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 SkyUI Racemenu Alt Start UFO LIFE EEO SEXLAB<----Can't believe no one mentioned this one tsk tsk
Rayblue Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 SkyUI iHUD Convenient Horses UFO Racemenu ENB 0.119 + True Vision
shedidwhat Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 ShowRaceMenu PreCacheKiller 1_3-33526-1-3 Skyrim Shadow Striping Fix v2-27418-2-0 TBBP_main_file v.1.01 by Dragonfly Player_Headtracking 3_2-23600-3-2 UNP
00ptic Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 It'd probably have to be the MVC3 Morrigan armor for me. Because of the missing textures on the fur and the broken textures elsewhere, I learned how to retexture, later do standalone textures and am now currently trying to get a better grasp of modeling.
Guest airdance Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Vilja in skyrim Best standalone adaptive mod so far
kyosuke1000 Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Better Vampires because I've always hated how Vampires worked in the Elder Scrolls. If my vampires don't instantly burn to death in the sun, and get stronger when they ARE fed, I'm not happy. Gimoire Weiss. Might seem odd not to be able to live without, but it saves my ass stupidly often because my current computer is subpar at best and I need something to keep me alive on the harder difficulties. One of those two.
StayFrosty Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Sleeping Dangers Sands of Time http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12452/? A Mod that adds random encounters throughout Skyrim....adds extra Spawns in Dungeons, while walking around outside, Fast Travel, Sleeping, etc....Makes life a lot more interesting as you never know what's going to happen, where or how many NPC's, etc....Keeps you on your toes and always ready for action....Skyrim truly is a dangerous and busy place....I LOVE SoT, I simply wouldn't play Skyrim without it anymore....Couple it with Duel Combat Realism and Deadly Dragons and the challenges come in thick and fast....
Dallas-Arbiter Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 SkyUI Pinup Poser Sex Lab Mature Skin Texture (I use the Coverwomen Look 1 head normals, and a custom femalehead_s.dds though) UNP bodies (I've used most of the different UNP bodies since UNP first came out) They're not mods, but SKSE and FNIS are a must.
Guest Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 There are alot of mods that I probably couldn't play without but if I leave out the custom bodies, textures, SKSE and interface modification there are two mods I definitely couldn't play without anymore. Interesting NPCs ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8429/? ) just gives the game a whole lot more life by adding NPCs that aren't bland 3 dialogue bots all voiced by the same guy and Dual Sheath Redux which should've actually been included in the goddamn vanilla game.
