One question: do .tga files work the same as .pak files? Just put them in the Paks folder, or they are extensions for the mod creators

tga is just an image file notation like png or jpg, a different version of raw unpacked files

Update: I've finished all the Cut and Uncut Nude Character Sprites for the Coral Island Bachelor

I'm currently collating and naming all of their emotion sprites which I'll upload soon in a mega file.

Modding them into the game is out of my area of expertise. However, If anyone can, I think it would be neat if there was a 'full cut' and 'full uncut' download file as well as an option to pick and choose based on the character.

Side note: it's been great getting to watch this community/forum grow! it's crazy how much we've managed to get done in such a short amount of time after the game's release.

Do you have any plan for Erect ver. ?

I would also like to know if there are any updates to the game's character models, and if the project is still active?

I'd like to take a shot at it but I've had trouble extracting the models from the game. Again, if anyone could send those to me that would be great. I should have more time in a few weeks so I can look into doing it myself again then.

It's a shame I don't know how to do any of this, I hope you get the files and continue the project.

I was considering this and wouldn't be opposed to helping someone create character portraits if it's paid. But probably wouldn't do it otherwise as I'm pretty busy.

but seriously if anybody has some kinks they want represented feel free to mention, a lot of these characters are super basic and don't have any obvious direction to take them in

bear in mind it has to be something that can be represented visually somehow

potential options off the top for my own future reference:

body paint, body suits, latex, bondage gear, bunny girl, petplay, brat, maid, tentacle parasite, curse marks

furry opens a lot of doors but getting the 3d models to reflect it feels like a highly unlikely prospect

Hello, first of all, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience. Is there any program or way to edit these .pak files (contained in the topic) or the images that “Dorian Bates” drew to put in the game? (I couldn't put them in the xbox game pass)

If you check Dorian's posts there should be RAR archives which contain the raw images. After extracting these with WinRAR or 7-Zip you can edit these in Photoshop or GIMP (although I've found Photoshop doesn't handle TGA files too well). As for modding them into the game pass version, I'm afraid you're on your own there.

Good afternoon, sorry for the delay, I was looking at some tutorials, can you answer a question?
(I managed to extract the .pak file from the game)

(I'm using the steam version now)

ex: Chaem

but it generated 2 files

Chaem_Angry_Fall.uasset
Chaem_Angry_Fall.uexp

Now which program do I use to edit these two files?
like I want to change the texture of the character and paste the version
without clothes
=========================================

Are these the files I use to edit the game's main image?

(just tell me if it's this program that extracts the files)

Yes, umodel is the correct program, but instead of choosing 'Save packages', you need to choose 'Export'. Or, you can right-click on a folder and choose 'Export folder content' which will give you more options. You can export the portraits as TGA, DDS, or PNG files. I recommend TGA or PNG to maintain quality. After modifying them, you will then need to use Unreal Engine 4.27 to 'cook' the images into .uasset files, and unrealpak to pack them into a .pak file.

Forgive me for asking (or trying to understand, I'm a bit stupid)

i just need the texture file (tga or png to import into unreal engine)

or do you need the body modeling file?

by the way i didn't understand the term "cook" because i'm not american i beg your pardon

No worries :). If you're just trying to change the 2D character portraits, you only need the TGA or PNG file to import into Unreal Engine. You won't need the model. 'Cook' is an Unreal Engine term, it just refers to converting the files to .uasset and .ubulk files etc, ready to be packed into a game/mod. To cook the files, you just go to File>Cook Content for Windows, then find the exported files in your project folder. These are the ones you need to pack into a mod, not the raw TGA or PNG files.

By the way I'm not American either haha.

I am sure that this has been posted, but I cannot find it in here, but does anyone have or know of a link to a tutorial on how to replace the base images with the .pak or .tga files provided by others? Or if there is a drop and replace method that works as well?

I am not that experienced of a modder, so not sure how to do this. Apologies if this is a dumb question.

Find the 'ProjectCoral/Content/Paks' folder in your game install directory and place downloaded .pak files there. They should take effect the next time you start the game. You can't replace the vanilla images with .tga files directly. Any changed files have to be packed into a .pak file first and installed in the aforementioned method.

So, I moved the image .paks into the install directly and restarted, but nothing changed. Everyone is wearing the same thing. (I assume I need to extract the Pak file that is in that folder and replace certain files with these .pak files and then repack the main .pak file? But I have no idea what program to use for unpacking and repacking the .paks.

I just want to clarify... in the main directory there is a folder called ProjectCoral, within that folder is a folder called Content, and finally, in that folder is a folder called Paks. You put the pak files in that folder? They should work if you have them there. It goes without saying but obviously make sure the paks aren't in a compressed file like something with the extension .zip or .7zip.

Correct, I moved them into that folder. Does it automatically recognize the images and replace them for the characters? Or should I unpack the ProjectCoral-WindowsNoEditor.pak file to then replace them myself?

No, don't unpack the pak file. The game should recognize it automatically. Not sure why it wouldn't. Do you have multiple paks that are overriding the same things? If so, I recall there may be a thing you'll need to do to the naming scheme of the files to delineate the priority of the files. In Palworld you would have to add 'z's + '_' to the front of the files you want to be loaded last, aka, highest priority.  If you don't have multiple overrides then don't worry about this step. Is this a pak that you got on this forum or is it something that you packed yourself?

From the forum. The CoralNudes_P.pak. Maybe there is something I need to do in game settings to activate it?
