Slightly confused by the wording for the trees section. Are you using both the standard and high end together, or choosing one over the other?

 

I'm assuming it's the second, with how the Nature of the Wild Lands mod is built it doesn't seem that it would be compatible with the happy trees ones.

Retexture Project got revamped. The new version doesn't have a FOMOD anymore (unless that was for a different mod). The file sizes are also completely different, including the "Misc" (there's no clutter anymore) being twice the size. So I'm sure there's new textures mixed in there, but I don't know what they are.

 

The patches that are linked shouldn't be necessary anymore either, they were removed from the mod page and there's new patches listed.

As I said earlier you need the 3.02 version of the files.

4.0 is 'supposed' to work with auto-parallax which is not tested/working with this guide, as well as there are reports of missing textures in solstheim with 4.0

Oops, I missed that.

 

I guess it's time to redownload 20Gb of mods at 3 Mb/s. Yay.

Go for the Skyland AIO instead. In the meantime i found quite a few issues with Skurkbro. Some become obvious quite fast, others are more hidden but still there. I really like the textures from Skurkbro, but with all the issues the mod is too problematic atm.

I might have to completely rework 'Foundation'...

 

The most annoying part about Skyrim are all the small mods you have to layer on top of each other and all the patches to get it all working. I wouldn't be suprised if 40-50% of the LO are only patches. 

 

Atm i got five(!) bigger mods for flora, ~two dozen separate ones for plants plus the obligatory patches.

The only certain thing atm is that i'll replace Skurkbro with the mentioned AIO.

 

Seasons are not sure atm. I skipped it (otherwise i'd have at least 100 hours more rerunning DynDOLOD). So the next update will be more details and SMP. I now have collisions perfectly working for the body, hair is working fine (got collisions too) and my collection for optional armors with SMP is growing.

 

Almost forgot:

'Alternate Start' will be replaced with 'Alternate Perspective' and 'New Beginnings - Alternate Perspective Extension'. It works better than expected and i love that i can go through Helgen without automatically starting the main quest.

Isnt seasons of skyrim extra light weight and easy to set up?

For what i have seen in videos and stuff its surprisignly compatible with tons of things

You still need to edit a seasons config file for the third dyndolod step else that one doesn't know what choices you made. And yes quadrupling the compute time is an issue.

Back to my issues with Conditional Expressions for NPCs - That GridTransitionCrashFix Synthesis patch did actually reduce my papyrus errors by a significant amount, just not the conditional expressions I was hoping for. Still the occasional crash upon cell change because of null reference, yay for being too fast for skyrim?

Have you ever entertained the possibility of enhancing gameplay/combat in your install list Aylis?

 

Just asking because, in the last couple years, the quality of combat-enhancing mods has increased dramatically. We can (probably) nearly replicate Dark Souls-type combat now.

 

If you ever get to it, maybe an optional "combat" tab? If not that's entirely fine!

In the SE mod list/guide their is combat animation mods and combat overhauls but the mod Aylis likes to use DAR hasn't been updated to AE yet or just been updated and that is a framework mod which means all of the combat mods Aylis likes to use wouldn't work until DAR got updated and someone posted a comment saying it just did get updated and their is also a replacement mod that is a just plug and replace type of mod that is also in development. Probably could see it being added in the near future.

DAR just updated and its up to date now.

Anyway, theres a replacement DAR in the works as we speak from a trustworthy modder; its also going to be more compatible and faster, also plug and play with mods that already use dar, so even if Aylis decide to drop the "main" DAR we still have the reworked ver

DAR works afaik (ran a fast test).

 

So there will be an update in the next few days (already going through my list). One mod less i was waiting for. :)

Nemesis got an update and our 'Windows Defender' is especially prissy again... To fix this you have to use the following steps:

Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Defender

Open Windows Defender

Go to 'Virus & Threat Protection'

Click 'Manage settings'

Scroll down and click 'Add or remove exclusions'
Add an 'Exclusion'

Click 'Process'

Type: "Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine.exe" without quotes. 

Added to 'Tips and Tricks'.

Hey Aylis,

i'm really thankfull for your guide. Just started again after several years. I use your guide with the combination of Open Sex and SexLab. After some troubleshooting setting up all the MCM menus it really worked well, but what i don't seem to get working are the breast and butt physics (collision).

If i wear Armor/Clothes breast are jiggling as expected. When im Naked they don't move at all and don't collision. It doesn't seem to change anything when i build and add the "Amazing SMP Object" trough Bodyslide or not. I use OBody and OSMP.

OBody functions as expected when i don't build my Body in Bodyslide so i assume i also shouldn't build the "Amazing SMP Object". I don't know what i'm missing. Did i overlook that i have as example to make some changes in the .txt or .ini files?

Problem with the nude body will be fixed after the next update as i'll also upload the new 'Zeroed Nude'. I finally got everything (including the ponytails for hair) working with an addon for 3BA.

So, is there any particular reason why DynDOLOD is giving me errors and is unable to create the LOD? I'm sure there's something dumb I'm missing.
