Neodarkside Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Not sure if this was brought up but found a bug. The speechcraft option, on some NPCs if you successfully coax them into having sex with you, afterwards when you save or zone to a new location where the game autosaves it causes a CTD. Mostly noticed it on NPCs that don't normally have the option to gain friendship with them, or custom NPCs. For instance Nilsine in Windhelm, coaxed her into some sweet loving in a back alley and it CTD every time. Another was a custom NPC added in Bathing Beauties luxury suite, I had Wyla as a follower and once her friendship reached 4, it caused a CTD every time I was able to ask her to bed with me.

Do you have free camera active in sexlab? If so that is likely the cause as it is a reported issue that happens sometimes.
eyeballjones Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Looking at the log it looks a bit like the problem I was having the other day. I was having the same problem where no sex would happen when i tried to submit. I have a question do you have any other mods that allow for sex? If you do then when you trigger those do they work? If you have other mods and they work and submit is not I am thinking very possible you have a dirty save, which is often caused by updating the mod aka uninstall and reinstalling it or a new version with out doing a clean install process. I do, I have a couple, but I don't think that's the reason because before I didn't have these mods installed at all, and I only had submit and sexlab and it still did the same problem
NicoleDragoness Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I'm still testing this latest version and I think to have found (other the brawl conflict with lover's Victim) a couple of problems: Problem 1: I was attacked by three Formsworns. I killed one of them but the two others hit me at the same time and made me to be knocked down. Probably the same time of knock down me started the issue, because they two, both, at the same time, had sex with me. Not a threesome but TWO different couple sex actions at the same time. Of course, the result was pretty strange, with my char skull fucked by one while the other was "glitched" inside the two of us performing an anal fuck. At the end of the actions, almost at the same time too, one of the attackers ran away to submit a poor merchant passing in that moment. Me, instead to be bounded, kneeled down or something, was totally stuck, standing in front the Formsworn who did absolutely nothing for several minutes. I wasn't able to move, unable to jump, unable to do anything but talk with the bandit (useless dialogue, of course). Cutting away the talk with the "tab" key, made me return in the same "stuck" state. I was about to reload a previous save when the message from Private Needs informed me that I was about to "explode" so I pressed the key to defecate and ........ VOILA'! After that I was free. Totally free! I redress my gears, drawn my weapons and killed the bandit. NOTE IMPORTANT: the bandit didn't react at all while I was hitting him with my sword. He only said "Hey! What are you doing?" like he was my dear old friend. Problem 2: If the "death proof" feature is active while I'm in Werewolf form and (due the fact that Werevolves don't regen their Health) I reach the "0" Health state during combat, my char in werewolf form is totally stuck. This time WITHOUT any solution except to reload a previous save. The first one I have not happen exactly but I did have defeat and submit kick in at the same time. When I use to use defeat for a random chance and submit for a auto surrender at lower health. My guess it was just a rare fluke. As for the bandit I am betting cause of the double hit, it didn't clear one of the bandits, which is why he never reacted to you attacking. Of course that is just a guess. I didn't install Defeat for this new game and Submit is set to Auto Submit with DeathProof at 0 Health.

If it did but not submit and you have at any point updated submit to a new version. Then it sounds like a dirty save from when you was updating submit. If you don't have any other mods, install one and check and see if sex works with it. Again if it does and not submit, then the most likely cause is a dirty save when you updated submit at some point.

Yeah I only meant I have seen something like that trigger from Defeat and Submit both triggering. I imagine if submit double triggered it would cause it. That's all i meant.

I will have to test it.

dkatryl Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 @DK: Found a solution? or is that just brainstorming? If you did find a solution, then good job Can't wait to try that out lol Would that modification allow people to use Lovers Victim and Submit? or would it be just a safety measure exclusively for Submit-related things at the end of the brawl? I'm gonna guess it would probably make the two mods finally compatible but, what the hell do I know Testing shows what was shown isn't a 100% solution, but I believe I am on the correct path. I'm not going to update until I get this stupid thing in the bag, and then, yes, it should then allow *any* brawl to play out normally, allowing any other mod that works off losing brawls to function without getting inadvertently killed because of my mod getting confused.
ChipyChops Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Okay, looking at DGIntimidate, there is a papyrus fragment in the first stage that, among other things, forces the player to equip an item called "Unarmed". It isn't really an item, but it's purpose is to remove weapons/spells from the inventory. The chief difference between THAT and just checking if the player is unarmed is that there is a very specific and unique time when that happens, which is at the start of a brawl. So, I can just do something simply like: Event OnObjectEquipped(Form akBaseObject, ObjectReference akReference) If (akReference.GetBaseObject() == Unarmed) Debug.Notification("Brawling!") Else Debug.Notification("Not Brawling!") EndIf EndEvent And just replace the message strings with a flag that ignores the OnStartBleedout() event stuff from the death proofing and just let the normal Brawl stuff take over. One thing that you might need to check for is a shield bash disarming the opponent.
dkatryl Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Event OnObjectEquipped(Form akBaseObject, ObjectReference akReference) If (akBaseObject.GetFormID() == 500) Debug.Notification("Brawling!") Brawling = True Else Debug.Notification("Not Brawling!") Brawling = False EndIf EndEvent Okay, that works at a basic level. The original one I posted was treating all weapons the same, but this one uses the FormID of the 'Unarmed' weapon, which happens to be 500. So, basically, this will turn off my stuff once a brawl starts, and if you draw a weapon or something, it considers it no longer a brawl. Now, this is a very basic first step, but it does accomplish the initial goal. It still needs some further refining, such as equipping a healing spell is valid in a real brawl, so I have to allow for legal things to still happen.
famsisher Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 So, trying to figure this out. Getting a CTD when using this mod. Anytime I try to save or change cells (could be on the autosave) I get a CTD if I have recently raped or been raped. I have narrowed it down, it is definitely something about this mod that is causing it. Have tried uninstalling and just using Normal SexLab having sex. No CTD. Installed Defeat, raped and been raped. No CTD. Uninstalled Defeat, Reinstalled Submit. Raped. CTD. Been Raped. CTD. So. Something specifically with this mod is causing problems. Any further advice? Also, I've been using FINIS everytime I install or uninstall something. Using UNPB and SOS. The save or changing cells sounds like the free camera/rag doll bug that causes CTD's but normally it happens after any sex. Try disable them and see if it fixes it. If that doesn't do it and other mods are working fine then my first guess is you did not do a clean install when updating this mod from a previous version. Thanks for the response, but that wasn't the problem. Turns out it was voices. Some one else had mentioned problems with that so I tried disabling all the voices from the SexLab Framework. Sure enough, I haven't had a crash since. I did note that some of the animations still have voices in them. Might be related. Anyway, really happy to have it working finally. Oh and I got it to crash with the Defeat too. Turns out it wasn't a problem with submit, I just happened to not get the animations that were causing the issue when I had used Defeat previously. :/

Okay, got it where it turns off the stuff when a true brawl starts, turns it back on when the brawl ends. What I am having trouble finding is turning it back on once you cheat in the brawl and it becomes a real fight. Now, basically, when that happens, you get a bounty. So, at it's basic level there is the quest event: Event OnStoryAssaultActor(ObjectReference akVictim, ObjectReference akAttacker, Location akLocation, int aiCrime) if aiCrime ***Toggle code*** endIf endEvent Which would probably work great, except that is a quest event, and I don't think you can call one from within a magic effect. If anyone knows their way around papyrus and has an idea, toss it out, I'm listening! Edit: Since I'm having trouble finding a way for a magiceffect script to have the quest event I want play, for the next update, I suspect what I will do is when the brawl begins, I will simply turn off the death proofing stuff (including being set as protected) and if you win or lose, I will let the game handle the outcome as normal. If you get beat in a regular brawl, then regular bleedout happens, and any mod that triggers off that should work. If you cheat and it becomes a real fight, if you get beat, you will just die like normal. Don't cheat! If you win, you win. Either way, once you leave combat, provided you didn't cheat and get killed, the death proofing will be auto-reactivated, and life will move on.
nutluck Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Hmmm yes I do, haven't had an issue with it till just recently tho. I will have to test it. It has been reported in several mods of the same thing happening and in almost all the cases if the free camera was turned off the crashes stopped. There is some bug with the camera in sexlab.
nutluck Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Oh, well no, my other sex mods work perfectly Ok well then my next quest is this. Have you ever updated this mod from one version to the next release? If so then I am fairly certain what the problem is and likely how to fix it. Least it worked for me when I had the problem.

ChipyChops Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Can't you copy code over into your method? to set a bounty for instance.

I have, from Submit 10jan14 to 11jan14. What could I do? Ok then you likely had the exact same issue I had, you have a dirty save. Because of how submit works with scripts and this is not the only mod that needs clean saves to be sure of a good update you have to do the following. I did this after I broke mine and it fixed mine, so hopefully this will fix yours as well. Log into skyrim. open the MCM menu, select Submit and then click the dis/enable button. close the menu and go back into the game. Wait at least one minute, you should see a text eventually scroll by in the upper left saying auto surrender disabled or something like that. next save the game and exit the game. open Nexus Mod Manager. Deactivate Submit. close nexus Mod manager. log into skyrim wait a couple of mins in game, just play a few mins. open MCM menu and make sure submit is no longer listed. If it is repeat step one. If it isn't and it shouldn't be, then save the game again. log off skyrim and exit. open NMM activate the latest version of submit. run BOSS to be sure the load order is right. log back into skyrim. wait a few minutes open MCM and it should now list submit again. click the enable button close the menu and wait a few mins. You should see a message scroll by saying auto surrender is enabled after a bit. save the game. Now Skyrim should be good to go and Submit should work. It worked for me doing this. If it still doesn't work then the next step is come back and let us know and we can move on to the next step in trying to trouble shoot the problem.
ChipyChops Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Can't you copy code over into your method? to set a bounty for instance. I'm not quite sure what you are referring to. If the events like OnStoryAssaultActor set states and values, can't you just bypass them by setting them yourself?

If the events like OnStoryAssaultActor set states and values, can't you just bypass them by setting them yourself? The quest event does nothing if it isn't actually *IN* the quest script. The stuff in question is in a magiceffect script. So the event does nothing.
Fenderstat Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 are beasts supported? I surrendered to one but it walked anyway Yes they are but you have to turn on creatures in sexlab and then in submit turn on creature support up to 2. Do both of those and creatures will then work, or should work assuming everything is installed correctly. Yet they are not working for me as I have followed these. A while ago I downloaded the old best animations (the original) maybe they could have old scripts conflicted. I tried hentai creatures as well to test and still no animations, even though I have Sexlab latest versions and FINS + creatures. Any suggestions?
