Okay, removed Estrus/Estrus Chaurus/Actor Events to cut down on the log error spam (and also because I figured it might be messing around in combat checks), started a new character, and ran into some bandits - wound up with the same issue (Wounds are mortal, etc):

I realize it probably doesn't help much because there are no submit related items in there.  Is there another (non-Papyrus) log set that would help, or other information I can provide?  If nothing else, it shows where it happened related to the Sexlab animations trying to launch (i.e., the "cannot because player is dead" message).

 

It's certainly not a game-breaking problem for me, and it does seem to work correctly at least 50% of the time, so it certainly isn't too far off even for my messed up and overly modded game.  Thanks too for taking the time to look over my (probably self-inflicted) issue. :)

Well you have a bunch of errors and warnings. Some errors are showing you don't have required esp files loaded like this.

ERROR: File "Wyrmstooth.esp" does not exist or is not currently loaded.

 

So some mods are looking for other mods or files that are suppose to be there and not finding them. That could have a lot to do with it.

 

This seems to be more of a general issue than a submit one though. Since as I said you got a ton of errors and warnings in your log. Get enough of those and you start getting script delay which can then cause mods not to work and can cause CTD's.

That's Frostfall doing its compatibility checks, and as it notes, that's expected behavior (hence the note "This is NORMAL and can be ignored." in that part of the log).  All the mods have their dependencies and are in proper order.  I'll run it again with some of those nonessential ones removed for a clean start though.

Okay, I unloaded pretty much everything except the Sexlab Framework and Submit, and I'm still getting issues.  The Papyrus log isn't catching anything but Sexlab animation messages however, so I don't know what to tell you with that.

 

However, I decided to play with some of the Submit settings, and here's what happened:

 

With Deathproof/Autosubmit on, and a 5% Auto-surrender threshold, I got weird results.  Sometimes I'd get the "wounds are mortal" result.  Sometimes I'd just get healed and be able to go right back to fighting.  Sometimes I'd get beaten and tied up, gold taken, but my armor left on and no rape.  Other times it would work correctly.

 

With a 0% auto-surrender threshold, however, it worked perfectly every time I tried it.

 

With a 50% auto-surrender threshold, it worked every time I was in close range.  When my character was shot to death by arrows at range, I got a "You are still in combat" message around 50%, but nothing else, and when I went to 0 I got the "wounds are mortal."  I'm thinking perhaps the auto-surrender didn't fire correctly in those cases, and then decided there wasn't anyone to surrender to, on death.

 

I had been using that 5% threshold all along until now.  Therefore, my suspicion is that perhaps there's some sort of conflict between the "non-dead" auto surrender and the "deathproof" going off at low health levels - maybe one fires while you're not yet dead, but you get hit and pushed into dead-range before combat has stopped?

I know you said you were planning on working on certain areas of the mod, but any idea when multiple NPCs will be coming back into this mod? Would so much rather 4 falmer assault my PC at once, then watch 4 separate animations of 1v1. Just curious. I am a huge fan of this mod. Amazing work you have done.

I'd be more inclined if there were all kinds of animations that supported all kinds of random combinations, but as it is, it only works if ALL of them are falmer or ALL of them are draugr.

 

If you wind up with 3 draugr and nord, it won't work.  2 falmer and a 2 chaurus, it won't work.  Any combination other than 4 of falmer/draugr won't work.  Which would require adding in specialize checks just for that.  Not really worth the time investment.

 

If people *REALLY* want that, then I suggest using Defeat.

I suppose it is possible that a low threshold, getting whacked where you would have died, plus the death proof might be fighting a bit.  All of my testing was at 0%, since the ultimate goal was to make it where you didn't actually NEED a threshold.

 

I can definitely look into that scenario.  For now, I would recommend playing with 0%, unless you have some other mod that you want to work at 0%.

 

Of course, that's actually my recommendation for everyone. :P

Nothing that exciting.  As I stated, I was giving Arkham Origins a second play through in the evenings.  I basically only did a wee bit each night on the mod until the kid was in bed and asleep before I went out to the other room, mostly just trying to fix some of the more glaring issues.

 

Mostly, I wanted a brain break from the mod before I tackled the custom voice shit, since I am anticipating that being a very slow, tedious process full of much ARGH!  And just how much of a P.I.T.A. that turns out to be will dictate how many NPCs I do before I loudly declare FUCK DAT! :angry:

I looked into this a bit last night (I used Vex as my test sample, since I always like to get 'friendly' with her ;)), and my findings weren't promising. :unsure:

 

3 major problems:

  1. The custom voiced NPC's tend to only have voiced parts of specific quests and/or combat related things.  This greatly diminishes the availability of usable lines.
  2. The process to get access to even a *SINGLE* line of dialog is an UNBELIEVABLY cumbersome and tedious process. :o And it would have to be done for EVERY line of dialog you wanted access to, simply because the files weren't set up originally in the same manner as the SharedInfo Topic.
  3. Even if all of the dialogs *were* extracted and made available like the current ones used in the mod, every single one for every single custom voiced NPC would have to be manually added in as alternate lines, each with a copy of existing script fragments put on them.  And as any one that knows about dialog script fragments goes, it is REALLY tedious trying to use an existing fragment on a new dialog entry (You have to rename the existing file, add a new one, change the name to what you want so it doesn't see the existing one, delete the newly created blank one, THEN change the file name of the good one back to the correct name.  Repeat this for EVERY instance. <_< )

So, between not having enough to work with to support the dialogs, and the fact that I am looking at *WEEKS* of work for only a handful of NPC's, I think I am going to take a pass on this one. :mellow:

 

The only one I *may* still consider doing is Serana.  Unlike most of the other custom voiced NPCs that tend to just be quest NPCs and not followers, she is most definitely set up to be a follower.  And since I plan on having her around in my current playthrough, I'm doing this as much for myself as anyone else, so... yeah.  :P

There have been NUMEROUS posts in this thread regarding issues with the death proofing and Brawls.  The short version:

 

Without this change, if you lost a Brawl with the death proofing on, you would die.

Disappointing but perfectly understandable. Not to mention it sounds like it would be a mess of script and very easy to have bugs that would be really hard to track down. While it would be nice and a cool feature. From what you are saying I agree it doesn't sound like it would be worth the effort.

Ok two things I would like to bring up or comment on.

 

1) Are creatures like Draugr suppose to tie you up? I don't know it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me. Same with things like trolls etc. The only non human/iod I could see tying up a prisoner and keeping them is a vampire. To keep you as a snack for later.

 

If they are currently all meant to tie up the PC, any chance to have a toggle where only human/iods tie the PC up? The ones that always work with out creature support.

 

2) If you still want to expand on the seduction I have a minor idea that I think would be easy to do. Of course i am no modder so maybe this would be insanely hard.

 

The idea is instead of having the check made right at first let it go to where the sex act is chosen. And let the act picked have a effect on the role. Like easier roll if the NPC is in the dominate role. Such as example

Ask a NPC to go down on you - normal chance

Offer to give a male PC a BJ - +25% chance

 

My other suggestion is when you tell them surprise me so the NPC gets to pick, have them say what they want to do. Or better leave surprise in but add in a new option.

What would you like to do?

NPC responds with some examples

I want to plow your pussy.

I want you to suck my cock

 

then you would have the option of saying sure or nah lets do something else. If you say no, have a small chance where the NPC then says they don't want to have sex the. Giving you the option to end the sex or give in and do what they want.

 

I just think the above would add a little immersion to the seduction making some things easier or harder to get a NPC to do and to make the NPC's seem more involved by letting them pick and telling you what they want to do.

 

Anyways just tossing out idea's to improve the seduction part of the mod. Feel free to ignore them or run around screaming, pulling out your hair, and cursing me for even suggesting them. :)

They are called "sentient" creatures for a reason.  They have opposable thumbs, or something close enough, and have mastered using basic tools.  I have no plans to go in and add a different option for them beyond how it already exists.

 

And as I have repeatedly clarified, I never said anything about expanding on the speech craft options.  I simply wanted to eliminate the "voiceless" responses by custom voiced NPCs'.

 

The first half of your suggestion takes the roll done in one script at the beginning of everything and instead puts it at the end of multiple paths, having to add it to multiple scripts, making it terribly redundant.  Also, the roll has to be made BEFORE the actual dialog path in order for it to have the valid Global to use in the >= check, so the entirety of the dialog trees would have to be restructured.  All for the sake of very minor success adjustment at most.  As you can imagine, I will pass on that.

 

The second half involves me adding a bunch of custom responses which would have the effect of actually making the "voiceless" responses *more* numerous, because NONE of those would be voiced.  That was my biggest problem with Romance, really, and why I added this part into Submit in the first place.

Yeah I know they have thumbs, I just thought it was a bit odd undead would bother to keep someone tied up.

 

As for that and all the rest, no worries. As I said just thought I would toss it out as idea's and if you liked them great if didn't want to do them, not a problem. I figured it wouldn't hurt to suggest them and see. :)

The poor girl does not get enough love (aside from all the trolls, giants and vampires, of course)! :rolleyes:

 

 

Seriously, though, I think most people would agree that it is not worth the effort. I mean, even if all dialogue responses were voiced, what about the moaning? Complete immersion is not possible for a single mod - and with the amount of voiced responses Submit does achieve (and quite ingeniously so), it is already more than one could hope for. So I for one do not see a few silent NPCs as a shortcoming, but the many non-silent NPCs as a great bonus. :)

Agreed, I'll be running on 0%.  That's more in line with what I was going for anyway - I think I just got too used to also setting a percentage threshold back when I wasn't using Deathproof, and was still using the SD+ death prevention stuff.  But yes, definitely I'd recommend for anyone having issues like the ones I was seeing to either use Deathproof at 0%, OR to use a percentage but turn off Deathproof.

I'm having a problem. Escape doesn't seem to be working correctly. I can surrender with the hotkey, or try to rape them, but once bound nothing seems to happen. That's with either the default np7 or any other key I've tried.

 

I don't get any messages or anything, and most of the time nothing at all happens. Sometimes my PC jumps up and stands, she can crouch, sneak, block, but not attack, get into inventory or equip spells via hotkeys.

 

Any thoughts?

 

I had the same problem. It's the DD + Submit add-on mod. Once I decoupled DD from Submit, the escape attempts worked fine for me.

HAving updated to the newest Submit, I'm having a recurrent problem of the Submit key not being recognised now when I use it, regardless of which key it's mapped to. Automatic surrender and speech options outside of combat are enabled, but it's taken rolling back to an earlier edition (7th JAn, I believe) to sort the problem. I'm looking through to see if I can work out yet another conflict. Thanks again.

Are there plans to implement 3p and multi-person counters like in Defeat?

 

I find I like the way Submit works better (less intrusive and the anti-death feature actually works reliably), but the lack of 3P is kind of odd and can also make the waits lengthy as a long queue forms.

Not really.

 

It was already there once upon a time, but there was only 1 animation that was really fitting, which was the Devil's 3-way.  The Tricycle wasn't really appropriate, because with 2 male bandits, one male would invariably end up fellating the other male bandit, which was not what one would expect. :blink:

 

If there were more valid 3-way animations for victim + 2 assailants, maybe it'd be worth it.  But as of today, you'd pretty much just end up with Devil's 3-way ad nauseum, which is kind of boring.

 

As to the rest (multiple creature support), I've commented on this over and over and over.  As it is only applicable to Falmer/Draugr, and the complications that would arise with a mixed group of creatures (i.e. Falmer + Chaurus in the same area), short answer is no.

 

If you want to speed up the process of waiting for SEVERAL dudes to take their turn, push the hotkey mid animation, as it will abort any current player scene and allow the post sex stuff to play out.  (I built that in for my OWN sanity while testing the repeating sex scenes)

2. No clean install on a recently reinstaled game with only sexlab, submit and matchmaker

I updated from the last version to the current one and after a surrender and they have their way there's no getting tied up. Just free to run away. Wonder if a setting somewhere is incorrect for me.
