What other plugins use that bleedout trigger? Defeat?

I don't use any other SL mods other than the Nude Creatures one, and I don't use any mods in general that use that trigger, so I can't speak with personal experience, but to my knowledge?  SD?  Lover's Victim, maybe?

Dunno.  I design and work in a vacuum, as if my mod is the only one in the world, and I won't let the possible presence of other mods hamstring what I want to do.  But if you find yourself with a conflict, and you would rather use the other mod's stuff in that situation, there ya go.

What do you do after a successful submit shout? The target crawls a bit, then gets up and acts like nothing happened. I tried Y again, nothing but another shout. Tried E while they were down with but there were no dialogue options.

Also is the speechcraft bonus/penalty for the first proposition only, or does it affect the subsequent three? Any chance you could go right to the intimidate option?

  1. It bugs out really badly if you are actively ragdolling when you die.  This seems to be due to the ragdoll camera not being able to release itself to allow the function that restores you to finish.  I can't find anyway to abort the ragdoll camera, so there is nothing I can do there.  Sorry.

I know you said you looked into the creation kit for a way to control the ragdolling, but what if instead of controlling the ragdoll effect itself you'd control SexLab's control over it? Like... would there be a way to either:

1- Determine if you have ragdoll enabled, and if you do, "disable" it momentarily for whatever is happening Submit-related, or...

2- Whether it's active or not, have a code to always force-disable the ragdoll ending on SexLab whenever something Submit-related is happening?

In the end the result would be whenever a scene triggered by Submit is playing/happening, you would see the thing go down as if you had the Ragdoll ending disabled on SexLab, but as soon as Submit-related stuff are done, the ragdoll ending would re-enable itself

Maybe something similar could be done with the great death-proof system? This is the first time since I started using these kinda mods that I don't actually worry in the least about dying, which is the whole purpose to these mods :D

I know not only it would probably be a lot of work for little reason, but also maybe not even possible... But hey :P just an idea I thought I'd share while I'm on my break from playing Skyrim, drinking coffee and surfing the forums lol

You should be able to talk to them.  Provided there is no other combat and such going on, you just talk to them to move on to whatever.

If you mean the MCM slider, it affects all speech craft checks.  And no, there is no way to go straight there.  Not unless you're feeling adventurous, in which case you could go in and redo the dialog structure inside the _SLSubmit quest. :P

What I wrote was more about when you are killed by something while in the ragdoll state, and to my knowledge, there is no way to prevent that.  If something FUS RO DAH's! you over a cliff, then you will probably got crunch in ragdoll.  I can't help that.  I looked, and couldn't find a way to abort it via papyrus.  It's like you have to be able to stand up to get out of it, and when you die, you can't stand.  If you can't get out of ragdoll, the restore doesn't get a chance to finish.

That said, suppressing the Sexlab option to Ragdoll isn't a bad idea, if there is a way (Probably, I just don't know what it would be).  I don't personally use the ragdoll finisher simply because it is typically the source of instabilities, and I wish Ashal could come up with a more fitting closing animation to be used as the transition from the scene back to standing.  Someone tossed out a "reversed undress animation", which wouldn't be a bad idea, if the original animator would do it! :P

  • Fixed - Forgot to check if the Relationship Rank was < 1 before setting it to 1 if you ask for privacy during a consensual sex session. (This was originally done so you wouldn't be trespassing if you took your partner into their home.)

I was just about to ask: what happened to the info screen up in the left upper corner: "Your relationship with your partner is ...." I haven't seen this happens always. And, if you would be so kind to explain to me, what has happened to the relationship that drastically dropped from rank 4 to rank 1 or 2. Is there something I can/should tweak in MCM menu?

@DK: Doesn't the ragdoll effect have an actual "standing up" animation at the end? Is that an animation or just the game somehow puppeteering® physics around?

From what I have gathered, the latter.

It's actually useful for fixing animation glitches and such in some situations.  The KillMove that the player uses on NPC's in the beatdown, for instance?  iirc, if left to itself, the shins/feet would glitch, looking like they were walking on their toes, unless you ragdoll them.

Other than that, it seems a bit dubious.

If you don't see the message, it probably means you are already rank 4.  Open console, click on them, type 'getrelationshiprank player' and you should see 4.

If you have seen a drop from 4 to 1 or something in recent updates, it's because of an oversight in the privacy code.  If you ask a neutral NPC to go with you into their home for privacy, you are considered trespassing, so I set them to 1.  The problem is I forgot to check to see if they were already 1 or more before I did this, so I was setting ALL NPC's to 1 if you ask for privacy, even ones that were 2, 3, or 4.

That should have been fixed with the 05JAN14 0026 update.

Good. I suspected something similar when I noticed one of my "sex-toy guys" have his relationshiprank with me lowered to 1 (before, he was 4).

I normally correct this using the console: setrelationshiprank player 4.

This 1 is still the 02JAN142232 version. Thanks to nutluck & pinute who helped me with getting the logs to work. I'm not sure how it all works though, I immediately quit the game after the manual submit not working.

I hope it contains the info you need. I tried to look it up myself I noticed a phrase said "VM not working" but it's just a wall of texts to me so I don't even know if that's even relevant.

Oh here's something gold!

So before I boot up the game, I came here, checking some replies. Then boot up the game & the game just keeps crashing!

So I check BOSS, and guess what? BOSS said the Unofficial Patches got dirty edits on them & I should get TES5Edit. That's not even the best part of it, so I got TES5Edit & run the thing & guess what? TES5Edit said the DLCs & the Unofficial Patches need to be cleaned!!!

My instinct said I should clean them all, but my senses said I should not because it can ruin the game, so should I? I've been trying to get the game to work for an hour & a half.

DLCs could be cleaned, after all.

Unofficial Patches NOT. They are already cleaned and doing it again you risk to break everything.

Anyhow, I abandoned BOSS pretty quickly, as I did for all mod organizers. I worked hard for a week to finally sort out a "perfect" load order manually. With trials and errors. Checking every papyrus.log I had. And load order is often really important to have your game run good. Yesterday, I was able to play for about four hours without freezes, ctd or other problems at all, even if I have more than 200 mods (and some of them are heavy scripted) and even if I have a poor, old, crappy computer.

Every single script I made has the naming convention "_SLSubmit####".  This makes it very easy to look at logs and such like this and with a simple word search for the term 'submit' find anything of relevance.  (Btw, I recommend using Notepad++ to look at those logs.  It makes it very easy to read them.  Never use just plain Notepad unless you want a solid wall of text)

Your log was ~2000 lines long, and showed a LOT of warnings and errors from other sources, but it only showed 2 things in total that matched the term 'submit', neither of which was a warning or error.  The first was:

[01/05/2014 - 03:46:25PM] [_slsubmitconfig <_SLSubmit (28001826)>] INITIALIZED

I guess that was on a fresh game/save?

The second was:

[01/05/2014 - 03:46:27PM] [_slsubmitconfig <_SLSubmit (28001826)>]: Registered SexLab Submit at MCM.

Again, that looks like the type of message you'd get after installing a mod with a MCM menu, so I assume it was a fresh game/save.

As you can see, there was absolutely nothing indicating any kind of errors or warnings.  No 'None' errors, no "the property no longer exists", none of the typical things that would indicate something was wrong.  I know that isn't what you'd like to hear, but I see nothing wrong with the mod based on your log.  And the manual surrender works for me every time I try it, so I really don't know what more to say.

Trying to figure it out, reading through the posts and all that, entirely possible I missed it, but how do you escape from bindings?

Push the hotkey again.  You will get a success/failure message after each attempt.

Speaking of BOSS, now I remembered I've used them back in Oblivion but then stopped using it. Some guy here just told me it might help me on not getting manual submit on the creatures.

And yes dkatryl, I always use a clean save. So if the log said it's working fine, so I guess I have to fast travel some place else or reload the game with this mod on & try it again.

installed framework 1.35. regarding creature(only tested so far), player always gets naked. not following the stripping rule of framework?

I have a mod that lets me to check (and, eventually modify) some player or NPCs values like: movement speed, weapons speed, set essential, set protected, set invulnerable, jump height and so on. I find it very useful to set my followers exactly as I want.

But, after installed the latest two version of Submit, I noticed that my own character (the player) is now set as "protected" and all options in the above mod to change this are grayed out. I suppose it's a consequence of the "death proof" concept.

My question, indeed, is how this could interfere with SexLab Defeat, in some cases at least.

I've been running Lover's Victim and this together, and I think they don't really work well with auto-submit. Even disabling the death protection, both mods trigger a bleeding effect, and whichever does it first gets interrupted by the second.

There's nothing wrong with either mod anyways, since both do what they're supposed to do. So either you disable brawls for Lover's Victim, or you disable auto-submit for Submit, which is what I did since you can still trigger it manually.

As Nicole says BOSS isn't perfect, its ordering of mods and comments about what needs cleaning is hand created by a team of players and modders. They can't know everything, and can't test/rate every mod. However, their suggestions are worth considering. I always run boss when I add a new mod just to get their suggested order and commentary about the mod. Usually I go with what they suggest for order, but like Nicole I'm not taking it as gospel. There are too many reasons why your particular mod list might need a slightly different order to go into all that here.

On the cleaning - if BOSS says clean it, I clean it, and if it says the dirty edits are necessary (like Guard Dialogue Overhaul) I don't ;) Also as Nicole says, the patches shouldn't need cleaning. I don't think I've ever seen boss tell me to clean those.
