Oldwolf58 Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) I've been smoking for over 50 years, started with whatever I could steal at the store, then started buying them from vending machines and settled on Marlboro's. At 12 I got mononucleosis and nearly died. Couldn't smoke Marlboro's anymore and a friend turned me on to Salem's. Smoked those until the price hit 3 bucks a pack then switched to making my own. I Order menthol king tubes and menthol tobacco online and roll them in a top-o-matic T2 machine. Costs me about 5 bucks a carton and tastes like Salem's so win win. Before you ask NO I do not have any form of cancer nor do I have any other problems related to smoking other than bronchitis. Edited November 25, 2022 by Oldwolf58

I pick up around 3 cartons of empty 'tubes' close to $2 per carton and a single large bag of tobacco for around $16/17 and that lasts me over a month. That's close to 3 cartons of cigarettes for under $25. A single pack is like between 5 to 8 dollars each with cartons being around $70 or $80. It's hard to be sure since I haven't purchased any 'corporate' cigarettes in over 15 years. Sure - I have to take the time to pack a tube and I do that when I want a cigarette and only pre-Roll them for work (4-5 cigarettes in my case) which has also helped me 'cut down'. It's incredibly cheap but takes commitment - something most fail when attempting to follow my lead as they tired of rolling their own and fall back into the trap of purchasing very expensive corporate packs. I guess I should be happy few roll their own - or like anything else - they'd try to raise the price of that due to popularity. Fuckin' corporations . . . . . 2
