Question about FNIS animation count vs in-game SLAL count

This is a nooby question so bear with me please, but when I run FNIS it says there are around 14000 animations loaded, yet when I enabled and registered all animations in-game using SLAL it counted something around 750 Human animations and 600 creature animations.

 

My question is am I missing something? or is this normal?

 

Any answer/explanation would be very helpful!

Easy to explain. Fnis counts every animation, in this case the Stages. For example most animations have 3 to 4 stages. Slal only counts them as One.

So let's say you have an Animation with 4 Stages, Slal sees it as one complete anim. FNis counts this one animation 4 times. Things like single animations like arm or head movements in those stages should get counted too i think

It will also count things that are not a SLAL animation, i.e. the walk replacer that you can get

(I've turned the calculation off but that will have a number with it turned on)

 

Believe devious devices is another that FNIS will count for the periodic idles that play when your in DD stuff as its more than just SLAL/Sexlab animations that require FNIS

think to too. It should count any kind of mod that adds animations like MME or Fill her up

FNIS counts hkx files, SLAL counts animation sets.

a 5 stage 2 actor sexlab animation = 10 hkx files in fnis.
