I am saying goodbye to my freedom. Dearest Fredom i have loved you since i was born on this earth now the time is coming when i must wave farewell and become a robot in a digitised and monopolised society where i will have no freedom of choice in any matters whatsoever from the salery i earn to the the clothes on my back, goodbye freedom i will miss you so much

What does that mean exactly? I'm assuming it's mainly to stop underagers from viewing certain things, haven't heard anything about it myself, though knowing the british government, most of what they try to implement gets lost in burocratic hell, never to be heard about again lol.

I googled the title, and found little giving me confidence in the story.  What media or news sites that made such posting are being checked by fact-checkers regarding their legitimacy, or those sites are known as questionable sources.  Such websites posting this story are The Expose, ussanews.com and the SGT Report which mainly promote propaganda and conspiracy theories and quite untrustworthy.  And incidentally, most are all posting the same content in verbatim.

Ah, the things they can get away with in the name of national security/threat deterrence,  more accurate annual census, voter registration/ballot tally etc. All in an effort to better serve you, the citizen, of course. :smirk:

I did a quick search and just saw a way of e-identification for government related stuff (or a general id card.) I honestly dont quite get how an extra app you can login with your credentials (which has been used by baltic and some other countries for a while as far as I know) affect your ability to browse the web etc. more than already in place surveillance techniques deployed by governments and companies.

It seems like an easier id check for bureaucracy (couldnt spelled harder) but I would like to know if there is more about it...

That's not how you do it. You have to read it on soshul meeja from some one who got it from their friend's brother's girlfriends sister who works with some one who once lived next door to some one who had a part-time job at a police station somewhere.

Contrary to what gets posted on the Internet, in the UK bills have to go through a lengthy and public process to become law.

I haven't seen anything on the political news channels I watch but hey, let's not let facts get in the way of a good drama and general bullshit wailing about freedom and liberty from people who carry a mobile phone with GPS plus all the other unique identifiers they have from various government departments.

Not compared with us currently having a Chancellor of the Exchequer who managed to break the law on both sides of the Atlantic at the same time. ?
