It looks to me that you also might have some deprecated loose scripts lying around:

[06/02/2022 - 12:32:25PM] Error: Property MME_Milk on script bac_store attached to bac_main (39001D90) cannot be bound because <nullptr form> (3906D61F) is not the right type
[06/02/2022 - 12:32:25PM] Error: Property mme_milks on script bac_store attached to bac_main (39001D90) cannot be bound because <nullptr form> (3905C81C) is not the right type
[06/02/2022 - 12:32:25PM] WARNING: Property BACBlacksmithStorage on script bac_update attached to bac_main (39001D90) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property

Those properties no longer exist and the scripts have been updated. But if you have the old versions as loose files, they will bug out.

What scripts would be the ones I get rid of?

Also speaking if scripts what script does the mod use for scaling I'm using 3ba and the breast scaling does not seem to be working so

I'm assuming I get rid of bac_store? The mme stuff is for mme so I cant get rid of that since I have a special version some Korean dude made merged with other mods and uses lactis for milk effects but it doesnt have bac in it

Also I'm getting a odd compile error too many arguments to function which from what im aware of is very bad I need to fix it though cause its using slif default mode so I need to either disable it or find a way for it to use mme it would be 10x better to just use mme since I have mme set with custom and updated sliders to use 3ba yeah the lactis + milk effects are fine since they use mme but everything else like curvy cow and steatopygia and from what I can tell anything that involves breasts doesnt work enormous breast potion seems to be iffy it probably would work but base breast enlarge potion from mme does like 0.1 increase to the multiplier and I was going to change it and then went through the enormous potion script and saw it used the breast potion to scale and here I am stuck with a bad po3.psc preventing anuthing from compiling

Look at the FAQ section of the file page. Then clean out the scripts and then install any loose scripts of the new version. bac_store is needed as is bac_storage. bac_store keeps all the references of skyrim objects for all the other scripts, bac_storage is the StorageUtil access capsule. bac_blacksmith_storage is deprectaed. BAC uses SLIF for scalings and NiOverride calls for the Morphs, so anything not functioning with scaling and/or morphs is normally attributed to SLIF.

If you use standard MME plus MilkAddict instead of a custom MME, you also get tons of Milk effects and can bind Lactacid effect to any food item.

Which function do you get the argument error with?

It starts automatically some time after House of Horrors and Nobody escapes from Cidhna Mine are complete and Being A Cow is running.

Wow, I never would have figured this out. Having to do House of Horrors seemed obvious since its Molag Bal's curse, but I usually avoid the 'Nobody escapes' quest since it requires you to piss off the guards or murder 'allied' NPCs. Guess I'll finally get to check this out.

(its also a huge pain in the cow ass early game if you're not sneaky one handed person)

It's the BACBlackSmithStorage property/value from the script 'bac_main' called by 'bac_update' (those might be backwards, it's irrelevant)

That just means you have an outdated BAC script in general, since the function should not exist.

Make sure you don't have files from the old version of BAC. I had issues because of a SLIF patch I was using to make old BAC work with SLIF, which is no longer required (thankfully)

If you use Mod Organizer 2 (and you really should) you can click the 'Data' tab, go into scripts, and find bac_main and bac_update and see what mod they are from

when you are stuck in the auction room, do setstage bac_capturedcow2 80. If you're referring to the capture scene: the check for hit threshold happens every 5 seconds. Set the margin in MCM to some high value like 80% (instead of 25), get hit until you're at 50% and then kite them around.

It's the scene where my character is at the Milker and the two characters walk into the room and that's going to be heard to do since most enemies 1 shot me so I either parry or dodge their attacks ive seen most of the problems there people often get it I dont know if they quit the mod or just gave up

Wow, Slow Metabolism + Pauls 'get fat' quest + a bodyslide preset where high weight is actually chubby can get pretty crazy. Almost feels weird to be running at full speed still.

Throw weightmorphs in there and it gets even worse.

Is there a way to clear the amount of accomulated milkings that bac uses to level up? I've succesfully evaded the transformation and when it finally started I had 650+/1 for level up. I want to start from the very beginning and make it 0/1. Looking through the debug did not yield the necessary result, so I'm asking for your help.

I forgot to set the already accumulated base milk amount when registering the new cow - and ran across exactly the same problem just now. So, from the next version on, the initially accumulated milk is removed from the level calculation.

texture problem? Are you on SE / VR / AE? Try converting the textures to BC7, they might look better then.

Wait do you think papyrus would be able to show the cause of why the quest is broken?

What's the name of the variable? So that I set it manually to 0.

The secret quest is real good.

I feel like Hugh could be a bit smaller to reduce the places he gets stuck, and still be consistently sized with Minotaurs in Oblivion.

I couldn't find the canister components though, and I'm hoping I didn't miss it in Coldharbour, since there seems to be no way back.

Would love to play, but the latest version causes CTD for me whenever I try to boot up an existing save, or a new save. I tried repackaging the BSA because I saw mentions of there being some sort of issue with it being packaged improperly, but this did nothing to fix the issue.

I'm pretty new to loverslab modding, I checked through previous posts and I'm having a hard time understanding what I could do to fix the issue. (Can't even find my crash logs admittedly)

Does anyone have an earlier version that I could play to at least get the mod functioning in AE?

Use the SE version in the second post of this thread instead of the one on the BAC download page itself.

Also I recommend "downgrading" to SE from AE for various reasons.

I've had no issues with AE so far. Just extract the .bsa to loose files, solves all BSA issues.

I wonder if someone would kind enough to do a walkthrough  under spoiler's tag for all the secret quests / new quests.

I can, but not the cure quest since it takes a long time to clear that much debt.

If you don't want me posting this @botticelli just let me know and I will remote it.

Very Spoiler Guide to "A Craftman's Legacy' and 'A Moo For Hugh':

Spoiler

Prerequisite:

  • Complete the Vanilla Skyrim quest "The House of Horrors". To start this quest,  speak with the Vigilant of Stendar outside of the Abandoned House in Markarth
  • Complete the Vanilla Skyrim quest "No One Escapes from Cidna Mine" by first completing "The Forsworn Conspiracy". To start this quest,  read the 'Note from Eltrys' after witnessing the (attempted) murder of Margret the first time you enter Markarth.
  • Be a cow and be owned by Paul (may be possible before this, I am unsure)
  • Once all prerequisites are complete, you will automatically be given "A Craftman's Legacy" after some time

A Craftman's Legacy

Note: You can save a lot of time by having 10 Dwarven Ingots and 3 Centurion Dynamo Cores before starting the quest

  • Speak the Paul
  • Travel for Markarth and speak to Calcelmo
  • If you have already gotten the Dwarven Museum key from him, you can ask about the Milking Pump plans immediately, otherwise you will be given a key to the nearby Dwemer Ruins and need to kill the giant spider inside to continue.
  • Ask Calcelmo about the milking pump plans, and either bribe him with 3000 Septims or give him a blowjob. He will explain that the Jarl has them in a lockbox.
  • The lockbox is near a flowing river connected to the Jarls quarters. The quest marker will point at it. It cannot be picked, but the key itself can easily be pick pocketed from the Jarl when he is alone at night.
  • Bring the plans to Paul
  • Paul will request you obtain 10 Dwarven Ingots and bring them to him
  • After being given the Ingots, Paul will request you bring 3 Centurian Dynamo Cores to him
  • After providing the Cores, Paul will send you to a specific Dwarven ruin called Raldbthar near the center of the map. There will be bandits, Dwarven automatons, and eventually Falmer in this ruin. The quest marker will point directly to the needed item.
  • Bring the item to Paul and he will send you back to Markarth. He will mention Nedus' house, but you actually want to go to the Abandoned House.
  • Enter the Abandoned house. Proceed to the Altar in the basement to begin "A Moo for Hugh". Once started you will not be able to return and continue this quest until it has been completed.
  • Look for the stack chairs in the first room of the Abandoned House and find the Dwarven Ruins door in the ceiling over top of them.
  • Go through the short Dwarven Ruin, fighting Dwarven Spheres, Centurions, and a few spiders. Collect the final item.
  • Return to Paul.
  • Use the Milking Machine.

A Moo for Hugh

  • Upon interacting with the altar, you will be brought to a Dwarven Ruin in 'Coldharbour'
  • Kill the hostile Afflicted
  • Periodically, a Demora will appear and force itself on your character, but will not fight.
  • Collect Hugh's axe from a table near the middle of the room
  • You may optionally talk to Mandy to get some 'lore' Note: Talking to Mandy will make you automatically milk yourself when milk gets full. This effect seems to last forever.
  • Find the levers to Hugh's cage near where you entered.
  • Push levers and see what gate is changed as you do. Or push them randomly until they are all down
  • Speak to Hugh, he will explain you need to push two switches at once to escape. Ask him to be a Follower.
  • One switch is near Hugh's cage levers, the other is next to Mandy
  • Order Hugh to push a switch while standing near the other one yourself, and then push the switch near you right after Hugh does
  • Escape through the portal

I am curious do you ever plan to add in the beast races as possible to go through this all? (I sort of assume due to tails and headshapes that they can't do well lol)

Does MME even allow them to become Milkmaids?

Argonians don't even have nipples canonically, their boobs are just cosmetic 'social enhancers'. Really shouldn't be able to produce milk.

No Cowjiit or Arcownian planned, sorry, it would be too much of a hassle.

There's no variable. MME does not store the actual total milk amount because if it did, there would be issues if you changed level progression midway e. g. from Novice to Adept. Thus, I calculate the total milk amount from your milkmaid level N = MME_Storage.getMaidLevel(akActor) plus StorageUtil.GetFloatValue(acActor,"MME.MilkMaid.TimesMilked") value from MME:

Level progession amount P is (Quest.GetQuest("MME_MilkQUEST") As MilkQUEST).TimesMilkedMult

if N is odd, then calculate for N - 1 and add N * P

if N is even do ( ( N + 1 ) * N / 2 ) * P )

This won't help you though, since the resulting value for cow start milkmaid level would need to be deducted prior to the calculation from the current milkmaid level value which isn't happening right now.

Chances are not too bad that we get some hint from the log. I ran a new character across those scenes and had no trouble again, so I'm unable to tell the problem.
