Who are you Watching/Following?

People come and go. But there are some that rise to prominence with time and there's a certain satisfaction to knowing that you recognized something in them early on before they were anyone of some fame/importance and followed their ascent to wherever they end up. Now let me make clear that discussing politics here is verboten. But I don't see the harm in talking about someone's qualities as a potential leader without specifying any political sphere or issues. And don't make it a habit on the thread. One or maybe two posts a page may be overlooked, probably not more. But really, this is about anyone, anywhere that you see as 'on the rise' in sports, music, film, gaming, tech.... whatever. Keep it civil folks. 

 

Edit; Got to thinking this could go both ways. But following someone just to see how far they fall seems kind of cold to me. Not going to say some ppl don't deserve that kind of attention though. Carry on... with some integrity please.

I also have few very loyal and long time followers whom friendship is highly appreciated.

I only follow mod pages but not the authors or any other user of Ll for that matter. But i recognize Names, if i see someone i remember to be helpful or interesting i click even on pages i usually don't interfere with (most things outside the skyrim section usually don't interest me that much.)

And sometimes i just click on a thread to see what specific user add to a topic for the fun of it cause i know if that guy posts there its either an funny harsher comment or something really worth reading.

Hmm... Guess that is a tough one to translate as well. Sort of like "who do you think will be the next success story?" in anything from Sports, Gaming, Mods, etc. Maybe a young player on a sports team you like or game developer you think is going to do some cool stuff.

 

I don't really pay close attention to what anyone is doing and I hardly look at the news anymore, so I have very little idea who might be worth watching with any expectations. I do like some Indie devs, but I couldn't say I expect them to be around many years from now making trip A games.

 

The thing I think that kind of helps launch ppl's careers sometimes is through word of mouth i.e. somebody pointing them out to others and saying "Watch this one" and perhaps even supporting them as they can. Not everyone even wants to be famous, and perhaps don't even want recognition for their contributions. But for others, the limelight is what makes them. Catching them early in their career (or even before they start that career) and saying "I was there since the beginning" can feel pretty good I think because ppl love to brag about how they always knew about someone when most others didn't.

Priorities/interests change I suppose. We've lost some members over the years and some just stop checking in. I go quiet for periods sometimes because I am interested in something else for awhile. But I always come back eventually.

LL-wise, I haven't really been playing most of the main games modded here so I didn't tap into the actual gaming portion of the site yet but I've been trying to keep in touch with what frequently posting interesting and open-minded people and content I found in some general and off-topics areas - I do keep an eye on mods but I don't really keep track of them yet.

 

RL-wise, mainly Master and then mostly family, kids from an orphanage my family has ties with, friends, fellow slaves and masters from my circle...

 

I don't really bother staying updated on the world outside my own, whatever happens happens, on that scale. I care for Master for obvious reasons, family too, though not so sexually of course. I do my best to only keep friends I can trust to be there for me when I need it and there's also the sex on the side but that's a detail.

 

I've enjoyed helping around the orphanage I mentioned since I was a kid as one of my grandaunts owned the place and my mother, when visiting her, would often take me with her to play with the kids there so as to not leave me alone at home and I somehow ended up acting like a carer since they felt too young for me although we were mostly around the same age physically. The kids, young or teens, have also been a great soothing help at a certain moment in my life so nowadays I care for and have fun with them in order to make their drab lives with little to call a family - although their environment is a bright and merry one.

They all call me their own variation of "Big Sis ([ ])" even if most of them end up outgrowing me somehow... ☺️

 

Regarding the masters and slaves from my circle...

Well, I like to see whether new masters become either true respectable masters that can lead their slaves or subs or fail and be avoided by other members or outright banned from the circle; there's no place for fools that only seek an "haven" where they'll be able to spread the wings of their purely malevolent nature with no regard for their slaves state, other masters' boundaries or even the rules in place.

 

Bookkeeping, mostly, taking notes of their activities and their results, whether those new masters are good or trouble, then I do the sensical thing and share those information through our network so that slaves avoid a specific individual and masters offer their "counselling" to that defective new master lest consequences apply. Happily, there's only few instances where masters turn out to be rotten apples

 

Slaves-wise, there's less danger as there are enough rules and preambles to joining the circle that any slave that would cause legal issues are filtered out entirely, so I mostly keep a fun leisurely record of other slaves' activities and embarassing moments to either tease them and/or know what makes them tick, that kind of thing.

I, too, only follow "pages", or mods, or topics I find particularly interesting.  As for people, I don't follow individuals for individuals sake.  If someone has an idea that I find particularly interesting that they can articulate well, I'll keep an eye out for other stuff they put out there, but it's about the ideas, not the person in particular.  I do tend to have an ebb and flow to who I follow, people fall by the wayside, and then pop up again some time later, and it's "Oh yeah, this person.  Let's see where their content has led."  The most annoying, I find, is when someone has really good ideas but piss poor format in presentation. 

Can't give you any examples without the high probability of ruffling feathers (due to subject matter, etc.), so you'll have to make do with what I've said.

Okay, yes, I can: I watch a lot of Youtube stuff, and there are two ways for content creators to ask that people "Like and Subscribe" to their video/channel. 
1. A well done, pointed, and brief "If you like my content please like and subscribe" or the equivalent small 'subscribe' watermark posted out of the way and inconspicuous on their videos.
2. The annoying fucks who go the way of the trash articles that post so many advertisements that you have to dig to figure out where the actual article is on the page, and thus post "(subscribe) subscribe SUBSCRIBE subscribe subscribe subscribe subscribe" in every possible place, in every possible way imaginable, and these idiots think it will get people to subscribe to their channel!  Oh how I hate that.  Except it's still decent content - assuming you can find it among all the grovelling to subscribe to the channel.

I've only ever encountered the first example. But I follow very few Utubers. I always feel that gets a box 'ticked' in some hidden list somewhere to build a profile and thus your tailor picked content becomes less varied and open. Could just be that I'm paranoid, too. Though as a result, Ytube algorithms still can't figure out my "pattern" in anything.

I live in that neighborhood, I know every bush and tree around here.

The directional microphone strapped on my binoculars is just to show off, a friend wanted to see those ?‍♂️

Also my night vision googles just work better at 3 a.m., everyone knows those don't work well in daylight.

I only visited that shop to get new batteries for my bugging devices, nothing else... maybe some hand balm for work. ?

True enough.  The few people I've gotten to know here better than just "a poster on a forum" I got to know that way.  It's pretty interesting what people don't make public (for good reason, usually).  Haven't found much that I thought was way out there, but then that's taking into account the standard subject matter of this site.  Even then, a lot of it isn't stuff that people are just shouting to the heavens so to speak, even though it probably wouldn't be considered too far - for here, anyway.
