creature LV Wildlife + MNC Patch + SLAL

Is this mod compatible with Skyrim VR? Most Skyrim SE mods work with VR, but this seems to crash no matter what I do.

Awesome mod. Okay, turns out the version of USSEP on the Nexus doesn't support VR. The biggest hurdle to getting this mod working with VR is finding the right version of USSEP and using it with the patcher. For anyone else having this problem use this: Skyrim VR - USSEP 4.2.2 and SSE 1.5.97 Compatibility Patch at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com). You will also need to find an earlier version of USSEP to accompany it.

That's a really cool feature. Did you use the ingame bat feature to do this, or did you create a new ambush furniture?

The creatures are based on Chaurus Flyers/Hunters so I made them an ambush

Great mod, I love the animal additions and got most of the Sexlab animations working in VR; however, some creatures (usually deer) are missing schlongs during scenes. I'm using BakaFactory ABC and tried loading it both before and after the LV Wildlife MNC patch (I noticed there's a conflicting "deer" skeleton file) and run FNIS + re-register SLAL animations, reapply JSON, etc. but neither seems to work. Sometimes they do appear, though, so I'm not sure what's causing the deer schlongs to sometimes be invisible even though the balls are still there. I also made sure all my LV Wildlife mods are overwriting SLAL like it says. Would appreciate if anyone knows a fix for this and I'd love to see more creatures with animation support in the future, keep up the great work.

I have little experience in VR. Have you had this load after MNC and ABC entirely? Do you have anything that overrides the deer schlong's texture such as Anub's replacer?

Oh and if you have an up to date MNC, MoreNastyCrittersRaces script file will need to be overridden. If the version of MNC is outdated it will probably have a different script name like MorenastycrittersFactory, which is incompatible. The way the saved games are, you may need a fresh save, mostly if you've been reorganizing, adding or removing mods. In the event that your base MNC files are winning over mine, switch it around so that mine loads after. If that is indeed necessary, then I recommend a fresh save for sure.

I'm using the latest version of MNC and recently set all the latest LvWild stuff to overwrite it and load after everything else, even started an entirely new game today but the "Fallow Deer" is still missing the schlong. Same story whether I load BakaFactory ABC before or after the Lv MNC Patch, doing a clean animation reload in the MCM after FNIS & re-registering creatures each attempt. I'm not using Anubs replacer but am using Demonic Creatures, which is still loaded before this mod. Also when you say a "new save," do you mean starting the game over or just creating a new save file & loading it after exiting? Either way, the deer schlong didn't seem to appear on my new game even though I occasionally see one on other deer variants, presumably MNC. The elk is usually missing it too.

New save file. And for the elk.... if that's going wrong, odds are that's not controlled by this mod. Could be whether the elk race is supported by creature framework, but I'm not sure. I'm inclined to think that the HDT for the deer is going awry. Does your mod setup have the file "SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs\hdtDear.xml" ? That's what it's pointed to for the schlong mesh.

Yes, my installation includes that file in the game directory with the rest of the mods and meshes. An aroused schlong will appear on only certain types of deer (such as Whitetail) but not on Fallow Deer from LV Wildlife, however it only appears just as a SexLab animation is starting; prior to that, there is no aroused schlong on any deer types like there are on other creatures (Skeevers, wolves, horses, etc.) unless a SexLab animation is playing.

 

Edit: I fixed my previous problem with the waterfowl by simply decreasing the number of animations in SLAL despite it already being under the limits, I guess the Sexlab VR patch needs an update to be compatible with newer/faster versions of Sexlab that I haven't gotten to try yet.

I suspect the LVWildlife_MNCPatch needs to be updated for More Nasty Critters v15.1. It looks like they've added support for more Mihail monsters in MoreNastyCrittersRaces.psc/pex

Is there a mod I need to have installed that changes the mesh for wolves? Because the textures do NOT map properly to the wolves by default, the eye is painted across their face, their back legs are a gross raw-chicken color and parts of their bodies are just plain missing.

 

I tried just deleting the textures from this mod for the wolves so they would use the default textures, but that makes the guard wolves in the cities textureless. I also tried changing the skeleton.nif in the 'character assets wolf' folder for wolves to the blackwolf.nif (renamed it) but that just makes the wolves collapse inwards on themselves.

 

I've added some additional details in the hopes that it will help.

 

I could really use some help with this.

Oh my! If you're using Skyrim Immersive Creatures or anything takes priority over the wolf meshes, it will cause issues. I'm going to suggest that anything involving wolf meshes or skins in any esps load before my series of plugins. What's your load order? I'm going to take a look real quick to see if I can resolve what might be acting up.

I suggest that you move to Mod Organizer 2, there are tutorials online - it will make sorting much easier in the long run. However, I suggest that if you want to stick with Vortex, select my base mod, MNC Patch, SLAL and any patches for these. You should be able to add tags to the esp(s) upon a double click. Use 'late loader' and try it out. Although, a new savegame may very likely be required as changing load order is very finicky on an existing save! Please let me know what differences you find.

I tried just deleting the textures from this mod for the wolves so they would use the default textures, but that makes the guard wolves in the cities textureless. I also tried changing the skeleton.nif in the 'character assets wolf' folder for wolves to the blackwolf.nif (renamed it) but that just makes the wolves collapse inwards on themselves.

I had this issue too, but I fixed it by reinstalling the newest version of MNC with the "true wolves" option ticked in installation, and made sure that the Black Wolf texture and meshes from MNC overwrote everything.

How doesn't it? I'd need a batter explanation in order to know what's going on, but I think that you'll need to make my MNC patch load after MNC

That would result in different looking wolves based on the replaced vanilla skins + my new ones. For loading ABC afterwards, this would make my skeleton.hkx edit to the deer (for giraffe oral animations) not work.

I have had some troubles with getting sound effects to work based on the creatures. Then Open Animations Replacer came along and that changed things drastically! Outside of SL scenes, I got some noises to work so when I put out the next update, there will be more accurate vocalizations. I added new keywords to the help how this determines sound effects...
Ideally, I'd love to make an addon where you manage a park (think Skyrim meets Zoo Tycoon 2) so the keywords I added will be useful for that too. Reindeer no longer use elk noises in my newest In-Progress version.

So, I dunno why but this mod seems to not be compatible with 'Aroused Creatures". Animals remain hostile and don't activate any scenes.  But they do have genitalia, except for the wolves-

Your leveled list may need to be manualy adjusted as I run it with aroused creatures just fine as for hotile animals some are and some arent

As for starting animations with them u need other mods like defeat for example to have animations start
