I assume that it simply means that the current Location is disabled and Scan will thus be skipped, cant tell for sure

for some reason i keep getting 2p scenes even though i have it off and i even have add actor at 100%

I have similar results with yamete where i have it at 5 and the others at 50 and i still get 2p even though there are eligible draugr right next to them

I like the idea of this mod but would you consider adding the option of choosing between npcs having a chance to rape your character or simply stripping your character of their clothes and then stealing them and running off "in which case you must catch them or find them after they are hidden.  Similar to the way your followers sometimes do in your other mod Joyful Followers"?

Came over from your previous Match Maker, which I quite liked. Gave this one a go for maybe three or four days. Noticed a few things I wanted to mention. The match making seems to work pretty much perfectly in a consensual set-up. While the filter page--especially the context for "Valid Targets of"--was a little confusing to navigate, the mod paired off people consistently.

 

There did seem to be a few times when I had 4 or 5 actor scenes fire even though I had set the 2p weight to 70, 3p to 30, and 4-5p to 0. Add actor was set to 0 as well. I had the arousal setting for partners set fairly low. It seemed to be pulling as many actors as it could for each scene. After setting the partner arousal higher, the 4-5p scenes stopped. 

 

Besides that, I also saw that issue mentioned by two others in the thread; one or more of the actors involved in a scene would 'break free' so to speak from the animation and idle while the other actors would continue. It happened once in a 5p scene with only 2 actors animating. When the scene ended, I got a SexLab.dll CTD consistently.  I haven't upgraded to the newest SL SE, so there could be something the mod relies on in the new code that doesn't work with the old SL Beta 8. 

Oh, and one other thing I remembered: when the mod is set to Tick on Location Change, actors from the previous location begin to animate. I noticed this moving from Ivarstead into the barrow. When I entered the interior cell of the barrow, two actors created a scene in the Ivarstead overworld cell. It was odd, but it didn't cause any issues besides the two actors being stuck in the last stage of the animation when leaving the interior. I pushactoraway'd them to reset.

Just like you I was having the same problem and fixed it the same way. I am on LE and got the issue fixed by downloading the latest JContainers (3.3.0 at the time of writing)

Popping by again with a possible bug I noticed: it seems that the Initiator NPC is being added as a Partner to themselves occasionally in my game. A three actor scene was created with an animcache for four. I noticed it because I set 4+ actor scenes to have a SL Anim tag that doesn't exist to prevent the scenes (since setting the actor limit doesn't seem to prevent them). The scene then defaulted to a 2p animation with those two actors continuing without issue and the third (who was added twice to the animation) stood near by in a locked walking animation. Later, I noticed a couple failed SL Scenes with the warning of "actor already added to scene" which seemed to be caused by NPCs attempting to engage themselves.

This is experimental but shouldnt break your game

I still need to do the Translation Files, so in the Animation Tab you will now have 5 of those funky $-Signs for some options instead of the 1~4p Options

 

  • The algorithm figureing out the maximum number of participants for a Scene has been redone to mimic Y. Kudasai
  • The method to stop Scenes has been redone to mimic Y. Kudasai
  • Scenes are only stopped when an Actor enters Combat or they are hit by a hostile attack (instead of all attacks)
  • Restructured some things. The Weight Sliders are now using a different setting structure (this is why the $ sign thing)
  • Elders are now natively excluded
  • Scene on Loc Chance has been removed, since its been reported that it causes issues and the fix for it is likely more complicated than Im willing to do
  • For LE, JContainers is apparently outdated compared to SE Version forcing me to recreate some things inside Papyrus
  • Initiaters should no longer be considered as partners

Played quite a bit with the updated files. Seemed to work out of the gate. Then no other engagements occurred after some time. Had a look at the log and all I could see was "[SMM] Changed Location <Index X >" X being a few different numbers. As well as "[SMM] <Player> OnUpdate with Profile: 1" and "[SMM] <Player> Invalid System Checks". 

I reset the mod in a lazy way by using ReSaver to clear all the Scrappies scripts from a save, then loaded in. Again, it seemed to work after I set up the options again, but the check went as follows:

Hey Scrab I love this mod I’ve been looking for a mod that does this for Ostim for a while. In the profile I’ve set it up so the disposition required for an engagement is level 4 but no one seems to acknowledge it, am I doing something wrong? Also if I could make a suggestion maybe could there be an option in the engagement point system where there is a disposition requirement that could possibly set to mandatory, thanks again

I've tried this mod on Skyrim AE with full CC content, and I also noticed, that setting relationship requirement to 4 doesn't work. I wanted to use this mod for npcs in relationships or married, but npcs were simply going at it at random. Guards were pulled into encounters even though I didn't choose them in MCM menu.

Hey, as a follow up to this; it appears the Invalid System Checks was the Random Chance setting at 30% just rolling poorly for ages. I eventually got another engagement. After that I set the percent higher and believe it's working pretty much flawlessly.

Don't know if you two are on the experimental version posted above, but I have disposition set to 3 and have seen partners be rejected as invalid based on Disposition. Mostly named NPCs vs other named NPCs. Actors added by Populated Skyrim (Noble, Merchant, Citizen ect...) were not invalid based on disposition. Presumably actors from that mod--possibly others--either are set to be full disposition to everyone or have a null entry. Could be that a null entry registers as okay for the match maker. 

 

Ps. Ah, yeah so looking at Populated Skyrim in xEdit against Skyrim base, it seems NPC disposition is controlled via Relationships. Likely all those generic NPCs added by other mods will not have them. I'd assume that would mean they default to 0 (acquaintance), but if you notice acquaintances from the base game being matched together then it would follow that the matchmaker just doesn't recognize 0/Null as being invalid. There's actually a very complex web of relationships in the base game, but Bethesda is Bethesda so if they knew having no relationship was equal to having an acquaintance relationship they'd probably just leave it blank.

Thats mostly corect. Relationship Ranks can also be manipulated through script. Doing a NPC a favor sometimes has a Quest Reward to set the Affection to something higher, investing into a shop also increases this rank

 

What I do in SMM is requesting those vars and comparing them with the requirierend value set in the conditions. I have no control over the value I get and the thing with those values is that therees no way of me telling if the value I got is in fact correct or not

Thank you for clarification. I've only tried this mod in Bruma, as I use alternate start mod to start there.  It was a version from main download location. I installed  experimental 1.2 as well, and tried it outside Lakeview manor, with extra npcs added by Lakeview Fortified . I've set two profiles, but there was no action going on. I only tried it for short time, but I'll give it another try now.

On the experimental, it seems that I can very reliably get matchmaking to occur but only once. I have to pause/unpause the matchmaker on load, then again after a scene. If that's not done then it seems to never trigger another scan. I am also seeing an actor exit a 3 person scene and walk in place occasionally. 

On a sort of weird aside note: I think the scenes created mess with SexLab Tools. Possibly... Whenever a scene has started or soon after ending, SL Tools either refuses to open the animation selector (for a player scene happening along side a Match Maker scene) or attempts to select tags that aren't compatible with the player scene. I think it's hooking into the MM scene instead. Not a real issue, but something I wanted to mention. 

 

Oh, and just something I have on a wishlist. It would be nice to have suppressed or black listed tags along side tags to select. I limited most animations to their MF/MMF style and Billyy since their animations are expansive. But, a bit too expansive. I'd want to suppress Furniture/Futa/Aggressive and the like.

This sounds like the Update Cycle is broken after one iteration, huh

After a Scene started, type "sqv SMM_Scan" and make screenshots of what the console prints out

Im only starting Animations like any other mod does too. Get some Anims, call SL, done. Not sure what can create a conflict here

I wanted to redo the Animation suite anyway to be the same as in Y. Kudasai, that one does support excluding tags

From my own testings it actually seems that the Scritp for the Scan Quest isnt being loaded up. If that one isnt loaded, then the Functino which should feedback into the main polling is never called which would explain your issue

 

Im not sure when or why or how that script got lost, but in any way, that one now includes it (again):

If that works then I would start updating the other QoL things

 

Are there any settings you guys would like to have moved from the profile into the general settings? Cooldown perhaps?

Regarding Relationship Rank, I noticed that I only check for that for non unique NPC that means that itll always pass if the actors in question arent unique

Im gonna rewrite that a bit, dont think that was ever necessary anyway

Back again with my endless supply of play test reports. I really hope I'm not getting you down with all this. I want to make clear that I have no intention of implying the work you have done is insufficient or convey a demeaning tone. If that makes sense. You know, I don't want to come across as a person demanding your effort or ungrateful. 

 

I think that there might be a looping hitch in the scan after "[SMM] <Player> Player in Menu" and "[SMM] <Player> Invalid System Checks". The match maker is working flawlessly for quite a long time, then it stops. In the log I always see one of the two messages above then no more scans occur until I reload the game (pausing and unpausing the mod might work too). All that shows up in the log after that is the "[SMM] Changed Location <Index X >" message. 

As well, I see actors occasionally doing that thing where they break out of the animation and walk in place. In 2p or 3p animations. I think it's always the primary actor, the initiator in the mod.

This now also includes the change to Disposition

 

I added a Trace to the function which is responsible for killing animations early. If you see actors dancing around and dont find them mentioned in the log when SMM tries to stop an animation, the issue likely has nothing to do with SMM
