KindMan Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 To make clearer what koocamunga said, it just needs to be 10 different dogs, not 10 differend kinds of dog. Each city has at last two roaming dogs, so it's not a big problem (and there are more elsewhere, eg at Weynon).
Fredfish Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I just saw someone release a "Play as a bear" mod on TESNexus http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39945 He says he will release a "Play as a wolf" mod some time in September... Anyone want to be a REAL bitch ?

[/quote'] Aside the druid mods, Curse of Hircine, and Midas, there's another mod that allows you to turn into a wolf. Its called Lithian's Nature of the Beast and its a vampirism overhaul. I use it and love it and the transformations to a wolf, bat, and mist and real stable.

But I'll try out ver 1.3 in a bit.

I bought Oblivion when it first came out, even got one of those metal coin, but lost that copy when I traveled abroad, the country I'm in, to import an US copy of Oblivion, cost 2.5 time it's normal cost, so Steam was an option to me. For Skyrim, I might just buy it from Amazon and have it shipped abroad.
Roachboy Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I'm playing the Steam Oblivion GotY Edition and I'm running about 250 Mods ... not any more problems than with my Oblivion DVD copy (German, so I bought the Steam Edition to be able to play in English with all the English mods).
HentaiGnome Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Steam version may have been a problem months (if not years) ago in the past, but with the latest OBSE it should rarely be an issue as to which version you got (Steam or retail). Any problems you encounter regarding Oblivion will most likely be applicable to both versions at the same time, and happens due to an error with the mod itself or a conflict with other mods, assuming that you followed the installation steps properly. While I personally don't own a retail copy of Oblivion on the PC, I can guarantee that just about any mod out there works properly on the Steam version. And I've tried quite a lot of mods, too. Back on topic, I do have to thank the posters that helped me with my quest problem. I was finally able to proceed with it but now I think I've reached the end of the quest. Putting everything into perspective, I didn't realize how short this quest was. I didn't even get to encounter the other unique dogs, like Tundra Wolf and Hellhound. I look forward to a future update from the mod developer.
Tom21 Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 got about 90 mods in my game right now, and Unholy Darkness is a great Vampire Mod to!

Fredfish Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 @HentaiGnome "I didn't even get to encounter the other unique dogs, like Tundra Wolf and Hellhound. I look forward to a future update from the mod developer." You dont say where the quest ended for you, Im assuming you got the message from the count of Leyawin? You can get the hellhound, try looking near Kvatch. I did find the Stone dog (I had to cheat) but its not been activated yet, perhaps in the next update.
Justinof Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 There is a Stone Wolf in the Arcane University, i saw him even in the Talos Plaza one time, but even if he knotted on me few times, i never got a bone, so his AI routines seems not implemented yet. Even if the autor mentioned that there is a slightly chance to encounter Horny, Tundra and some other special wolfes in the wilderness, i have still not found them I can get all the special canines using the console, but whitout AI nor command bones, they are pretty useless. I will try to use MAD companions spell on the "not yet implemented AI" wolfes, it's worth a try at least In my personal "wish" list for future updates: Make it possible for the PC to enter in the cities whitout losing her wild companion. I know he is not supposed to be tamed and/or put in a kennel, but losing him is very sad (and frustrating). He should have an option to be "freed", so my girl can say goodbye to him on her free will. An "expansion" pack whit feline companions!! Tigers, leopards, black panthers, all in another shop whit another seller, not necessarily whit another quest (it would be too much awesome), same animations as in the last animation pack for canines adapted to felines (it shouldn't be too hard to do).
KindMan Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I had the stone wolf as wa wild companion (took a looong time), so it's "finished" in that regard, but you cannot get it permanently in the kennel as you can the hellhound (at least I haven't found an obvious way for that). I never saw one of the other special dogs. I second the feline idea =) The dibella temple mod has nice ones, unfortunately they have a special skeleton, so they don't work with lovers :/
