IT INSTALLED AE

Uh oh....   ?

Maybe you need this?  https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19658  and this?   https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32698

SexlabUtil.dll

Yes that's part of SexlabFramework.  The old LE SexlabUtil Mod used its own version and overwrote the Sexlab mod.

Something wrong with SL Beta9? I've not had any issues with it...hmmmmm....

AE - time to use the vanilla game backup! Just roll a copy of it out over your game directory and you ought to be sorted?

BETA9 didn't install SexlabUtil.dll like it was supposed to. The files are in the mod!

MO2 installed mine as normal - files are all in place. Are you sure Vortex has skipped the DLLS?  They should be under the installed mod's SKSE folder.

I'm sorry, it's too late! All mods uninstalled and the game has been deleted. Using my backup copy, hope it works. If I move\or delete the Skyrim Launcher.exe will the game just replace it?

I am positive. I spent all night doing it. There were NO SexlabUtil files of any kind in my data\skse\plugins folder. I installed BETA8 and they were there, WTF? I JUST FIXED IT!

I did all that work, for the past 8 months. I find and fix the problem. Only to have it changed to AE, right when I'm doing, I believe, my final run, and this happens. And you don't believe me. Ya hurt me Blue. I'm a blink away from deleting everything. I'm a sad man today.

Eh?  You told me you got hit by the AE upgrade.  Why should I not believe that?

I just don't want you to delete everything.  If you have your SE Backup you can roll it in over the AE game and revert back to SE. I'm trying to save you a lot of work.   Don't delete your mods or anything. You just need to get a version of your SE base game established again and you can copy and paste it into your regular Steam game folder.

Talk to me.

AE will only hit the Skyrim.exe and, possibly, the Update file. I'm not sure if it affects the main game files under Data. But all of that can be rescued and very swiftly.

Heck, I can even send you my files.

Was it the Sexlab DLL file you fixed? I might have not have understood that due to the AE disaster.

If you review the day we started this, you can see how far we came.

It was SexlabUtil.dll. The one in the mod. It's in there. You saw it in your mod. Why didn't it get installed in my game? I'm not that much of a screw up that I can't click on a button. As far as I'm concerned this was a VORTEX BOOBYTRAP put in this mod on purpose to sabatoge ALL vortex user's. There is NO excuse the author's of this shit can give me that I will accept. This is a bunk mod for Vortex, period. I installed it over and over with exactly the same results, no SexlabUtil.dll was ever loaded in my game, NOT ONCE!

The pic with the msg was taken with wda and ONLY wda installed. Did you see that pic? No other SL\LL mods of any kind! Yet there it is! WTF?

The .dll was supposed to be in there. It is with BETA8, it is with 1.62b, it is with 1,62a. Installed all of them last night to make sure this was happening. I got no sleep at all. I AM POSITIVE of this!

NOW I know why the SexlabUtil mod had it's last update in freakin 2014. SexLabFramework author's put in their mod, That's why. Don't need the damn thing anymore.

I am seriously confused here. Let me tell you something. Yesterday, on page (page 28 of this thread) I swear by God there were no pictures on it. Posts 692, 696 and 697 were not here.  Which explains my confusion.  Did the server drag?  Was my Chrome cache holding them?  You can see I didn't even answer them!!

There's something really screwy about that.

OK. let's get this straight:  Vortex is not installing the Sexlab DLLs? Then it's a Vortex bug and a bad one.  I have had this happen to me with MO (before MO2 days). What I have done in the past is copy/paste them into the vanilla game folder and to hell with it.  If the mod organiser fails, do it manually. Then you know for sure it's in there.  The only thing you need to remember is if you update the mod, you need to do a manual copy/paste of part of the operation.

Hope I got this right?

Now - what I want to know is why it took 24 hours for three posts to appear on this thread.

Right now I'm bouncing in and out of my internet trying to catch your post. I use Microsoft Edge, you think we might have a mismatch here.

SexlabUtil.dll

Yes. And maybe any others that are not being install properly.  I remember I had this problem with MO a few years back and that was the easiest way out - putting them physically in the main vanilla folders. I have a vague memory it was Schlongs of Skyrim causing the issue back then.

I have no idea what happened with your three image posts. I wonder if my Google Chrome Cache didn't refresh or something? They were simply not there. I never saw them until just now when I went back to check over what we were saying.  I don't get it. I thought these threads were instant.

If I'd seen them I would have replied. I'm sorry, it's a mystery to me.

I admit, I am not a fan of Chrome. But so far as I can see, Edge is a rebadge of Chrome. I use Chrome because I can't get on with Firefox. But I don't really like it.

What about a total manual install, do you think that would work? There are other folders and files that are in the seperate SexlabUtil mod zip that have to be somewhere else in the wda mod. Just the skse stuff isn't going to cut it, am I wrong?

You are right and I agree with you. Go back to Beta 8. It's stable and been running for a while so why not stick with it. Better that your game is stable rather than becomes a testbed for mod errors.

It may be that 9 has problems - and I haven't yet come across them.

I got over my weird game problem. I moved "Immersive Interactions" further down my load order and everything went well after that.

I also tried the updated Live Action. It was much better, but a bit glitchy. I'm inclined to leave Live Action to mature a bit more.

Here's a new mod for you:  Plug n Play.  Absolutely disgusting. Downloaded immediately...

(Oh - hang on you got the game stable with Beta9??)
