moody132 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 What is this shit? ERROR(76): could not find a part of the path to DebugData.txt ? I am so pissed right now. I ran FNIS like milion times, have it working properly with nemesis, even with own testing behaviors, and today aftering installing PAHE Home Sweet Home FNIS is like 'nope, here is a completly now error to fix, for whatever reason'. WTF? Nothing changed, i ran FNIS like 3 days ago when installing Poser Hotkeys plus, and everything worked. Now even after removing PAHE error still occurs.  I'm using MO2, launching FNIS in Virtual files system or whatever it's called, have set files to be saved in separate folder and a ihavent installed anything i in c \ program files (x86). I dont think it's matter, three days ago it worked, and every other time before it also worked.  Found It. Fucking Windows 10 re-enabled real time protection when snkeay updating itself, durning shitting off. I hate this system with every cell of my body.

Grey Cloud Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 1. A quick search of FNIS error 76 will bring up a megatonne of hits. 2. At the time this thread was opened there were two other posts on the same page with FNIS Error(76 in the title. One even had MO2 in the title. 3. The Windows update/defender related solution was in (at least) one of them. 4. The OP blamed everything except himself and the Windows update. Â So in conclusion, I stand by my now removed comment. Â I got a Windows update about the same time the other two posts appeared. I've not been near Skyrim for several months so I've just run FNIS and it didn't get an error 76.

Well, wasn't helpful, at least. And i didn't blame anything, i didn't even know what i should blame, that was whole point, finding what is causing the problem. I refuse to believe that anyone would figute it out spontaneously, that real time defense was the problem. Like there is no connection between those two events. Especially when i had it turned off before, didn't even notice update, and i had disabled windows updates in first place. i even disconnecing my wi-fi, when i am not use it, that's how much i hate this system.  But whatever. Problem is solved, so it doesn't even matter anymore.

I had this EXACT problem myself the other day, for no reason at all it just stopped. I wish I'd known about the Win10 realtime thing, would have saved me a few hours of messing about.  I fixed it another way for anyone wondering, I just copied FNIS manually to the *ACTUAL* Skyrim folder, and then set up FNIS using the "Tools" menu at the top of MO2, I also set up the 2 empty mods it looks for (just called them FNIS OUTPUT and FNIS LOGS OUTPUT). Seems to work fine now, actually even a little better than it used to, the only downside is not having FNIS in the list of apps on the right hand side, sometimes I forget to run it now.  Edit : If you're gonna fix it this way, don't forget to activate the FNIS.esp in the Plugin window on the right, it won't automatically do it, FNIS will still run and succeed, but you'll end up still stuck with the animations from the last time you ran it, or T-Posed.Â

What are you even talking about? And more important, why? It feels like you felt personally offended by my request. It's you who assumed i'am too stupid to use search engine. And still, i do not feel offended by that. Yes, i said "nothing changed" bucause from my perspective nothing changed. I had no idea win can update itself with disabled updates, that update can revert defender setting, and that this setting can cause this. Should i say "supposebly nothing changed" next time? Is that your point? And i do not think it is immature reaction to be pissed when windows automaticly updates itself when this setting is DISABLED, and for some reason turns defener on without my knowledge or permission. I think it's perfectly normal reaction.  btw i spent about2 hours before posting request, looks like i searched everywhere expect loverslab. Didn't expect to find solution here. You prove me wrong. Wait. You didn't. You didn't do anything helpfull at all. Consider 'helping' people on Nexus forum, with your attitude, they will welcome you with open arms.   Quote  Â
Grey Cloud Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 It's still not your fault is it?  I search and four hits down is a link to LL which contains the solution. You assume an impossibility - that your error occurred without anything changing. It is a perfectly natural reaction to get annoyed when something goes wrong but that doesn't mean coming on a forum or any public space ranting and raving is a good idea.

Yeah, 100% disagree with you here.  I spent hours searching myself (LL, Google, nexus etc.) and found no results that fixed my issue, by then it's possible that maybe others hadn't even created the topics, too hard for anyone to say.  And as with the OP "nothing changed" for me. The very obvious implication there (since we're on a Skyrim forum and all) being that nothing with the SKYRIM or FNIS install changed (since, seriously, why would anyone even consider an update that they had disabled would be the issue?)  I too have my Windows Update disabled permanently (and have had since I installed Windows 10), and yet I was hit by the exact same issue of a (seemingly) silent update.  Maybe OP could have phrased it better, sure, but being pedantic about that is just as useless as no solution at all, especially since most forums are generally just "ranting and raving"

The OP's OP was posted later than the two other posts which were at the time on the same page. It would be relatively simple for you to look for the two posts, note the date they were posted and use your brain to figure out if that was before or after your issue arose.
aranious Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Ah you're just condescending all the time then, got it.Â
