Boyoroony Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 So I've recently decided to have another annual run through Skyrim and throw in some mods into the mix as well. Now most of the mods I understand seeing as I've used a good amount in the past but not the LoversLab ones. I know that I'm doing something wrong somewhere, but I need help.  So the game crashes 1 out of every 3 times that I save, so sometimes I go awhile without saving, which is problematic. Sometimes the game just crashes on start up, then it's fine after that. A LOT of times when I go into areas it crashes straight to desktop. Recently it's been around Riverwood for some reason. When I try to save or walk into a building it crashes immediately, sometimes it even crashes just when I press Esc. to open the save menu. Usually I just reload the game a couple of times, then the game is fine for the next 10 minutes or so. But it's getting to a point where I just can't anymore.  Here is my load order:  Spoiler Skyrim.esm Update.esm Dawnguard.esm HearthFires.esm Dragonborn.esm Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp Schlongs of Skyrim - Core.esm ClimatesOfTamriel.esm RSkyrimChildren.esm RaceCompatibility.esm CompanionArissa.esm Vigilant.esm EFFCore.esm JSwords.esm hdtHighHeel.esm SexLab.esm OSA.esm Cutting Room Floor.esp BetterQuestObjectives.esp Schlongs of Skyrim.esp SOS - Smurf Average Addon.esp SOS - VectorPlexus Muscular Addon.esp SOS - VectorPlexus Regular Addon.esp ClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.esp ClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.esp ClimatesOfTamriel-Interiors-Warm.esp ClimatesOfTamriel-Nights-Level-1.esp EnhancedLightsandFX.esp ELFX - Exteriors.esp lordship.esp Dark Souls Gameplay 1.2.esp Billyro Swords.esp SkyUI.esp PassiveWeaponEnchantmentRecharging.esp 10 extra effect.esp Echelon.esp Mage Glass Sword.esp Voam.esp Summermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim.esp HonedMetal.esp RSChildren.esp Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.esp 3DNPC.esp Cataract.esp JaxonzRenamer.esp DCR_Blade_Set_Reloaded_v1_0.esp Prometheus_No_snow_Under_the_roof.esp Skyrim Unlimited Rings And Amulets.esp BlackthornManor.esp OBIS.esp EFFDialogue.esp RDO - EFF v4.0.2 Patch.esp AKSkyrimUnderground.esp SMIM-Merged-All.esp JSwordsDistributionBalancePlugin.esp Guards_Armor_Replacer.esp flaho_shi_eagles_nest_ENG.esp SofiaFollower.esp Recorder Follower Base.esp Recorder Follower Patch.esp quest_pitfighter.esp KnightsRest.esp SOS - Shop.esp MakeSkyrimStraightAgain.esp No Snow Under The Roof - CRF Patch.esp City Shrines 001M7.esp Brevi_MoonlightTales.esp A Felicidade.esp Imaginator BETA.esp Evil MasterMind Armor.esp Dunmeri Leaf Sword.esp TradeBarter.esp SkyTweak.esp FISS.esp UIExtensions.esp BetterQuestObjectives-CRFPatch.esp BetterQuestObjectives-EFFPatch.esp JSwords_Load_Screens.esp dovahkiin_weapons_shield.esp DCR_Heavy_Weapons_Set.esp DarkKnight.esp JaxonzMapMarkers.esp RaceMenu.esp ResplendentArmor.esp FNIS.esp SOSRaceMenu.esp RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.esp Mighty Beasts - Werewolf.esp Unique Uniques.esp Brevi_MoonlightTales - Mighty Beasts.esp Peacekeeper Armour.esp RaceMenuPlugin.esp XPMSE.esp The Paarthurnax Ultimatum.esp dad_jokes.esp spawners_10xrichermerchants.esp Stronger Dragonplate armor.esp OBISDB.esp Contractor Armor.esp Vigilant Voiced.esp Wintermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim.esp Ysolda.esp SexLab Romance.esp ELFXEnhancer.esp   I've also added my Papyrus Script crash log for the last time it happened and an earlier incident.  Just some extra details: - I've run FNIS and everything loaded properly, there were no errors. - I've run LOOT and everything is apparently in working order there. - I've run everything through TES5edit and there were no problematic errors there either. - I do use Vortex, probably to many people's dismay. I just find it more simplistic and easier to use than something like Mod Organizer.  This is the first forum post I've made so please let me know if I did anything wrong. Thanks in advance for any help ?   Fuck_Knows.txt Earlier_Fuck_Knows.txt

plutocene Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Your Skyrim behavior does not make sense to me, but it does indicate a fundamental problem when it crashes on startup already, potentially involving different causes, as a crash on save is associated with corrupted save files. Verify the game files, update graphic driver, verify that your SKSE version is compatible with Racemnu etc. For SKSE for example the latest version in SkyrimSE is incompatible with Racemenu and will crash the game. I dont know whats the status in Skyrim. You also need to upload the netscriptframework crashlogs, the vanilla logs are not particularly helpful. You can further disable all mods and see if the game still crashes on start.
CaptainJ03 Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 LE? Try to dump Better Quest Objectives, that crashed my game when adding the DLCs to Oldrim. And looking in your weirdly renamed Papyrus log, you seem to have massive problems with the XPMSE skeleton and the associated weapon styles. That might need a kick with a nailed boot.

You need to keep the mod loaded but you do NOT need to activate the esp except for a very few mods (most notably Dual Sheath Redux) none of which I see in your load order.

Boyoroony Posted August 24, 2021 Author Posted August 24, 2021 Thank you so much for everyone that has responded!  I'm going to take a hot minute and test all of these, then I'll come back and let you all know how it went.

I did almost all the things you guys suggested and it seems a lot more stable. I played for about an hour before the stuff started popping back up.  I got a crash report from Crash Fixes once that said: Spoiler Skyrim has crashed while setting up FootIK. Some things you can try to fix this problem: 1. Reduce the amount of installed animations. 2. Try reload the save until it works I unfortunately had to type it out because my computer was being weird and I had to snap a picture of it with my phone so I'm just transcribing it for you guys. I don't know what this crash report means seeing as I only have 4 animation mods installed. Maybe they're loading to much stuff? I don't know.  I also attached the lastest crash report. This last part keeps popping up and I don't know if that's what's causing the problems. Spoiler warning: Property SexLabGenderFaction on script SOS_ActorMagicEffect_Script attached to Active effect 2 on  (242A4C9F) cannot be initialized because the script no longer contains that property    6 hours ago, mikovic76 said: You also need to upload the netscriptframework crashlogs I don't know what those are. Crashing in random areas is 99% memory related. If it was CoT then I doubt the mod would be as popular as it is and has been for a number of years.  2 hours ago, Boyoroony said: I Googled it and it seems like it's a mod for Skyrim SE, I might just be dumb though. It was cool back then because there were no alternatives, nowdays there are other weather mods that supercede it. Â It is "popular" because it has been there a long time and racked up a lot of downloads over the years so it will always come first in any searches but that doesn't mean it's relevant anymore.

Your single experience against the experience of thousands of others. Rather than waffle about CoT being "outdated" I'll stick with the well documented: 10 hours ago, Grey Cloud said: Crashing in random areas is 99% memory related. Â

Boyoroony Posted August 25, 2021 Author Posted August 25, 2021 Well I believe everything is solved on my side, for the most part!  I didn't really do anything other than what you guys suggested here and it seems the problems have mostly stopped. I still get the occasional crash here and there but what would Skyrim be without a crash or two.  Everyone has been super helpful, so thank you to everyone that gave suggestions! ?  1 hour ago, belegost said: CoT is outdated and was never completely stable to begin with I unfortunately thought that I had to use it. I don't have a very strong rig so I used "I Can't Believe It's Not ENB" to make the game look a little bit more visually appealing to the eye. After you suggested that I remove it I did a bit more reading and it was apparently not even required for the visual overhaul to run, just suggested so that the visuals look closer to what the mod author intended it to be. I'd rather part ways with it if there's a 5% chance of it causing issues down the line. Though, I will admit, with past playthroughs in which I used CoT I didn't have any trouble with it, so who knows, it may have been the culprit, maybe not.   Regardless though, thank you to everyone!

Skyrim LE used to be flaky but since 2016 there is no excuse for having a flaky game.
