Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't sure where to place this topic.

 

Anyways, I'm sure you folks have heard about Breeders of the Nehphilem (BotN). While this game has nice animations and a pleasing aesthetic and caters to the crowd who like to play humans getting banged by furries, mythical creatures, hybrids and futas, I have learned through rather harsh discussion in the official discord that male/male will never be implemented into the game. Further, male NPCs (other than the wild gotta catch'em all and breed them ones) will also not be added to the game.

I was told quite bluntly that though it has been requested many times for male NPCs and male on male animations, the creator will not be putting any of that in the game, simply because he's not into it. I can understand that as I'm not into girl on girl (with the exception of futa x woman), but the game forces you to have girl x girl interactions to progress quests anyway as all NPCs are female/futa. It just feels a bit unfair - and I'm saying this as someone who is also not into male x male either. 

I'm hoping that when this game is fully released that the very talented modders of this lovely community may find the time to answer the repeatedly denied demand of the Pateron backers and alpha testers for male NPCs to talk to (and "play with" heehee), and also toss a kind bone to those who do want male x male.

The good news is the game's solo dev (who has admittedly done a fantastic job for a one-man crew despite the above mentioned unfairness) MIGHT add modding support when he feels that the game is "ready". 

I'll come out and say it, I am being selfish here because I want to bang some male NPCs with my female character outside of the lackluster male variations of wild, feral Nephs in the open world or in the breeding pen. But... even though I'm not into male x male myself, I just can't help but also feel disheartened by how many supporters of the game are being told "absolutely not" when so much as requesting male NPCs to TALK to. The male player character can't even get gay action in the wild with the ferals, and I'm repeating myself at this point but ...

You get the idea. 

It's a game worth checking out, however. Here's to hope for the future from this talented community, eh? The game is free to play in it's alpha on Steam for those who are curious about checking it out, and it already features full character customization for your player character - female, futa, and male (though it could use more hairstyles as females only have 4 and the male PC only has 1). The controls are surprisingly tight for an alpha indie game with only one dev, and the genitalia on all NPCs, PCs, and ferals (all are bi-pedal, none are actual animals) is fully animated for all 3 genders. You can actually see a larger penis getting squeezed via blowjobs or even vaginal sex depending on size. It also caters to us Size Queens out there AND those of us looking to get it on with a variety of mythical creatures. And who doesn't love built-in bounce physics? It has that, too. You can also turn off things you don't like in the settings menu and said bounce physics are adjustable as well.

Isn't it true you removed the Inces content permanetly? I just don't like cut content, when you start cutting content, I know some needs cutting, but if you cut one thing, then you cut another, and soon you have a Field instead of a Forest.

I am not the game creator, but I was told he removed incest because it violated Patreon's ToS and he is getting all of his financial backing for the game from there. After having played for a while, I did notice that some Nephs have a trait that gives them 20% less consequence from inbreeding, so it's likely still in the code somewhere, but not active. 

I personally do not support incest, but if modders want to add that back in, then more fun for everyone else who does want that in the future, yeah?

I really just want to bring attention to this game, as it is a good one for being in alpha (I am not a Patreon supporter, you can play it without supporting it) in hopes that one day I'll be able to see some male NPCs instead of having to progress ALL quests with girl x girl, as that is not my cup of tea. 

 

Trust me, if I was the dev of this game, this thread wouldn't exist. ? I would have added male and female options for gay sex to please the players. I'm also not a modder... so I'm useless outside of seeing if any modders might be interested.

Beside that the game doesn't force girl on girl, since you can always play a male character and avoid that, but even then, forcing a creator to include stuff he doesn't like will only lead to mediocre at best stuff that exist only to check a box, i would much rather he focusing on making good content, and leave the stuff he doesn't want to make to the community if/when he adds modding support, but it will take quite a while before we get to that, there is still plenty of stuff missing that takes the priority

But, I'm a woman irl and I want to play as a woman, therefore I am forced to do girl on girl for quests, and it's not what I like. At least there is a "skip" function, though. So yes, the game does force it. 

I mean no disrespect to you when I say this, but I'm not certain if you understand that not every player will want to be a man or a futa, and quite a few would rather be the girl and being on the receiving end. Just think about it for a moment, please. Again, no disrespect but this is just an argument or reason why that I've ran into on a lot of other games and it is a tiring one. I can't understand why the person saying "just be a man" doesn't grasp that there are people out there who want to play as a woman in games. But let's take that to PMs if you want to discuss it further, though honestly I would rather not as we may only end up frustrating eachother.

You are mixing up several different things here.

You started this whole topic talking about wanting male x male and there being forced female x female.

You are conflicting me pointing out that there is no FORCED fxf in general (as you claimed) with me telling you to play male characters which is completely unrelated.

As you said yourself there is a skip button and NPC scenes are a very small part of the game right now so i didn't feel the need to point it out.

It was merely a throwaway line correcting something that might mislead a newcomer to the game, the main thing i was talking about is that Modding is most likely not coming for quite a while since there are much more important things that the devs needs to do first

Allow me to rephrase as I'm not very good with communication.

IF you play as a woman, you ARE forced to do FxF to complete quests/unlock progression where the quest giver is not a futa. Unlocking spirit form, growing Fern, the Slime, etc. I asked you to please PM me to continue this as I don't want this discussion on this thread.

You claimed the game doesn't force FxF and to play as a male if I don't like it. That is not a solution to my problem.

I am a woman, I am not into FxF, I'm not into MxM either but I feel it should be an option if people want it, and the dev should not be neglecting what a majority of his backers have been asking for. I DO want FxM for quest progression because I am a woman and I want to play as a woman, and I like men. Is it more clear now why I say FxF is forced with no FxM alternative for quests/progression since ALL NPCs for that are female or futa? Even if I don't mind futa? That is what I am getting at. 

But to try and get back on topic, even if I personally don't like MxM, I still find it unfair it's not in the game. I also find it unfair that the only males I can get my FxM fix from, since I want to BE a woman in the game, are copy-paste throwaway breeder tools in the wild and on my farm. It's not even possible to make male monster/human hybrids through breeding, which gives them even less visual appeal. The dev himself has said he won't put male NPCs in the game in general because he doesn't like MxM, but this also denies female players who do not like FxF the chance of having a male NPC to talk to, play with, and be flirted with by - and do a quest for (which also goes for people who do want MxM, too). No matter how you shake it, it comes up uneven.

There is no 'fair' when it comes to another individual's output, especially when there is no money exchanged for said output. 

 

Even on Patreon, no one is owed more gender variation in games like Oh So Hero (all Male-Male) or The Adventures of Kincaid (all Male enemy NPCs and a female protagonist who is quite a bit more clothed than the male NPCs). Patronage is just paying someone to 'keep on keeping on' as it were, not a commission fee.

I understand Patreon's function, but did you read the first post? This is something that's being requested a lot and is being shot down. The point of this thread is to bring attention to the game in hopes that modders might have an interest in it in the future. 

A disagreement with another poster derailed this topic, may we please get it back to what it was supposed to be about? Modding support and the game's future with mods? Please.

I know this thread is old but I've been playing the game for a couple months now and I have to say, this guy is making a game solo, filled with content that he's interested in. Honestly, you REALLY need to take into account that this guy is working alone. Although the backers might want certain content, the fact of the matter is that if he's not interested in implementing a feature, then even if he does implement it, it wouldn't be well done. If this guy had a team of workers helping him out, it would be a different story. It's very difficult to work on things that you're not interested in. Really, the best option is to instead push for modding functionality. If the creator doesn't want to add a function, that's just how it is, but there are many people who would be happy to add that function in his place and also have the skills and ability to get it done. Push for mod compatibility and easy modding in general.

 

By the way, I absolutely agree that it's unfair that there's no mxm content. At the very least, I believe it should be altered so that male breeders can interact with the male nephs that they've caught, even if no actual new gameplay elements are added. We already have the animations thanks to futas, I don't imagine it would be difficult to rig the models.

 

Take a look at the Risu. They feel like an afterthought. They're all identical save for body type traits, they don't have any quests save for the bunny girl who wants a dragon, and their area feels incredibly lackluster. It doesn't feel like effort was put into implementing them. That's how I predict it would turn out, if the creator was forced to implement features that he's just not interested in adding. That's why you want modders who will turn it into a passion project instead.

There is a way to do it, in the main BOTN folder, add a text file and call it imma.degenerate, now you can have incest.

I started playing this today and for a solo-dev project it's very impressive, so far.  I could say I have issues with the game but I won't go into them as it (currently) costs nought pounds and fuck-all pence, so I can't in good conscience complain about it.  

 

That said, I can see others have raised a few: 

• Regarding "No Anal" - I love buttsex, especially the painful variety, but I can't see how it could be worked into the mechanics of this game unless I'm missing something painfully obvious?  Maybe if there was a mechanic introduced that resulted in runaways / weird behaviours / death if a male / futa was not relieved for a while but you didn't want their partner to get impregnated during this relief sex?  That's not great but it's all I can think of, other than it just being in there for the sake of it / fun? 

 

• Same with MM - Dunno how it could be made relevant to the mechanics of the game, unless again it was just there for immersion / fun?  I'm not against it, BTW. 

 

• Incest - I get why it had to be axed, which is a shame as it's very much my jam.  I'm guessing it would result in low-level / low-trait offspring? 

 

What I would like to see (either officially added or modded in): 

• More ways to increase lust, either a very slow increase over time, by consumption of milk / semen, witnessing sex acts etc.   
• Pregnancy effects: Slower movement; kicking effects and resulting moans / gasps; increased lust / lust recovery etc.
• Louder moans / screams if being taken by a larger partner, r*ped, tentacled and so on...
• Birthing animations with moans, gasps and screams.  At the very least a notification that the PC / a Nephelym has given birth! 
• Ability to review the father and their stats of any pregnant character's fetus.  
• Better variety of sounds, animations and animation speeds.  

Like I said, I'm not going to whinge about a game that costs bugger-all, this is just my own two-cents / wishlist.

Working anal/MxM or any other fetish into the game doesn't have to add more mechanics to the game. Most people are aware that anal options aren't gonna lead to pregnancy in these games. People just enjoy doing their thing for the enjoyment of it. I personally would love to see balls on futa characters but the dev seems to not want to include that option either. I'd love to see a mod for that, even if it would limit futa characters to not be able to be pregnant. That would honestly even be a plus for me personally.
