I'll be the first to admit I conceptually prefer Nora over Norita, but the cupcakes convinced me to have a crack (I hope JB's going to convert Nora's plastic surgery dream into a variant of the cupcake dream) and the design and writing show how far JB's come from those early days! While the flavour is very different it's still an interesting, funny romp that you should play at least once. Hell, it was good enough for me to do 2 back to back runs to try "Normal" vs "Virgin Pup", got derailed by MSMA but I still have Virgin vs "Normal Pup" to look forward to with the latest update (and I've re-stabilised my mod list, one more new game and I'm eligible for one IRL lol).

 

I believe JB has said Nora's getting an update after he's worked on a few ideas for Slavers, but even if not a Nora update will happen...eventually.

On the Night Fever quest, after talking with Danny I am directed to meet the detective. After taking the elevator up to the mayor's office, there is only a dog there that cannot be interacted with. Sitting in the chair and waiting for 8 hours still doesn't make the detective appear.  Going back to a quick save and going to the mayor's office through the manlift on the outside produces the same result.  There isn't a quest marker directing me anywhere either.

 

So I am guessing that either the detective isn't being spawned or is somehow disabled.

 

Do you have a suggestion?

 

Stages of _nukaride_fever set: 3,4,6,36,37,38,50, 76, 100, 400, 410, 420, 430, 440, 450

Yeah. First write this.

Let me know if the "Keyshawn" alias is filled or instead says somethinkg like "NONE".

 

If it's filled, re-write the current stage, which is the one responsible for enabling Keyshawn.

I forgot to mention that there was one example that deviated too much from the, let's say, “metrics.” While your correction was fine and the message was the same, the metrics were different. There were two lines. The first line was longer and the second was much shorter than the original. That makes the voice file sound off. But the others were fine.

It says so on the main page. These are things you choose as you see fit. Although the canonical route I wrote the story with is “virgin girl.”

 

Virginity is pure roleplay btw. You can open AAF and made her fuck a million times with everything you can think of. The mod will still treat her as a virgin if you choose that trait.

I reordered the plugins, reloaded to a save before talking with Danny, when through the conversation and I still get Keyshawn = none.

OK, the alias won't be fixed just by rearranging the load order. It's time to restart the quest.

No, use your current save where you are in Diamond City, with Adolf already enabled. Do that and the mod will ask you to talk to Sullivan.

So that fixes the quest variable, but after running setstage 440, it puts me into an infinite loading black screen.

@JB. I totally get what you mean by "metrics" - I don't remember making a change which significantly shortened a line vs. the original line, but I might have...  I will definitely keep it in mind to not make edits which would be too outside of "metrics".   Last night I edited about a hundred lines. Will probably do about a hundred a day or so. Currently working in the INFO section, working backward from newest content/quest dialog to older.

Let's hope JB circles back to Nora eventually. Far be it from me to question the work being done here, but the whole pitch for the Norita route just doesn't appeal to me for some reason. And the Nora content and themes are just so up my alley I can't imagine wanting to water them down.

i hear you. At first i was against the norita route as I was used to the Nora route and wanted to see it continued...until I tried the Norita route. Once I tried it, the Norita route became my favorite route and now I can't wait for the continuation of the Norita route. There was even a point in the Norita route that had me pause the game because i was laughing so hard.

Ok, I had to go back to a save just before I talked with Nisha. Stopped and Started the quest and checked the variable. I then walked through the stages I had previously (though it looks like I only needed to setstage 100. From there the quest proceeded as normal and I now have a quest marker and Keyshawn.

Charlotte seems to be stuck just continuing to say "give me a moment I need my coffee in hand"

It is like the marker she is going for is under the camera.

 

 

Also, could you turn off the PA system in the parks? Not only is it really loud, but it runs over the top of dialog.

And you must really dislike Elder Maxon.

Have you solved it yet? If you have Nuka Ride World Patch, uninstall it for a moment to see if that solves the problem.

I actually like the Elder. I've finished the story about five times, and four of those times I ended up as a paladin. 😭

I just used the console to move to the next stage.

PA = Public Address, it is the announcements in the parks about missing children and such.

Also, in that scene, the door to the bedroom is blocked and I had to use TCL to get into it.  So yes it could be the Nuka Ride Patch, I will try it without out it.

Well in Nuka Ride, the Elder comes across as a raging a-hole.

Nice. Yeah, since this is the first report I've received and that quest is about five months old, it could be a load order issue that was baked in the save.

Yep, I was on 1.1 so I just updated it and I will see how it goes.

So that fixed those two issues but introduced the black face bug.

I reinstalled the Black Face Bug fix and that fixed it.
