Do you have the required mods?  I believe this would be related to SavageCabbage's Animations (which I understand to be version 1.3.0 or later, so you would need to de-select SC patches in UAP if you installed that) or AAF.

In a Norita run, when sent to the Dugout Inn after receiving the permits>

 

Vadim says "Party at the bar!" and the pole spawns, but there is no dance prompt, and the quest cannot procede. He just plays his usual vanilla "buy some booze!" lines from his place at the bar.

 

Any idea how to fix or bypass this?

Maybe check if you have the required animations?  There is no prompt to dance, you should go into a pole dance.  Check your AAF console for errors.

You need a functioning AAF platform as foundation for animations first. 

If Charon's animation didn't play I'm assuming it's not.

 

1 Check the manual and make sure you have it working: [Home] key, can search and find actors, can start animations 

2 Then install everything required on the first page of Nuka Ride

  • Safe to update midsave. 
  • In the MCM cheat section, there's a new option to unlock all workshop items at once, at any moment. 

My Radio

  • You can now steal Gio's tools. Although this route definitely needs work and isn't canonical anyway. Gio recognizes you as the “Overboss Girl” without any prior explanation. I'll leave that as a to-do item.
  • You can now decline the orgy with Norita's dad's friends.

  • If you won the introductory quest from Triggerwoman, you can use your pink scooter to travel to Fenway Patrons Hall.

I got super excited about the update to the TW scooter location (walking from DC has been taking up time, which means less time for quests since I have 48 hours and also have to sleep - and I refuse to adjust the setting to allow me to leave NW for longer!!!) so I had to check this out right away of course 🥰

 

I had an issue with the new small quest though

In "A Pawful of Hope" I get stuck at stage 100, and while I'm sure I can bypass this step to complete the quest, I really want to ensure it's done properly, not just to avoid breaking things but it's too cute a stage to just skip anyway!!!  Though I hope "Cheddar" is an option again, I grew attached to the name and my family would probably actually miss me excitedly greeting him out loud every time I step into the apartment and say "MY SNUGGLE CHEESE!!!!" which obviously would only work with cheese based names 😜

 

Things to be noted: I initially loaded with a save with completed up to date NR that had TriggerWoman and SS2 installed (for the building aspects in the reconstruction kit, I don't start the mod up to avoid bugs), a save that had completed NR and TriggerWoman, one without TriggerWoman that I loaded in just as I would have been leaving Fizztop after the Flagpole quest, but before I had checked in with Corsican and gone to my apartment

 

I am able to talk to him now and he will meow back, but can't name him.  I consider I am just in bimbo mode and missing something insanely obvious, but I'm assuming I am supposed to activate him and name him (or her) that way?  I did try restarting MO2 and then my PC just to be sure it wasn't a hardware thing before wasting your time

Hmm, how did you start the quest? I thought I'd locked it before uploading it to Mega. It's not finished. And it's a quest that's looking to be pretty big. xD

Well I'm glad I didn't try to skip, then XD 

 

I just walked into the apartment and it automatically triggered for me. I only discovered it because while I was going in to do my nails before asking to go to the commonwealth to check out the scooter spot, it started up the quest and then did so on every character I loaded it up on 😅it is, in fact, not locked 😶

Thank you J.B. for your great work! And for listening to the opinions and requests of the players who play this amazing mod. Now I'm sitting here translating the update and the quest with the cat. Respect Master!

Argh, it was an old script I forgot to delete. I'd better upload it again.

 

And if you're curious how the quest starts, update, just go to Isabella/Kali's shop and type:

 

StopQuest MyCat

_NR_Cat_Global to 2

 

and talk to Isabella.

 

You couldn't name the cat because Isabella wasn't there. 

 

Right now the quest ends abruptly at Fizztop/Oswald place and has no voices.

Thanks. Just remember that it's not finalized and is subject to change. I don't know if it would be appropriate to translate it right now. 

 

And talking about requests. Maybe I'll remove one of the names (Nyx, Umbra, Salme, Whiskerface) for Cheddar, which was the cat's original name.

While I'm sad that this isn't actually supposed to be in the mod just yet, I'm both thrilled to have gotten some mini-spoilers as well as know that I am not, in fact, in bimbo mode because of your mod and unable to figure out how to follow quests properly.  For a bit there I was getting worried XD

Oh this quest is going to be so cute! I'm so excited to see where this goes.  If you don't mind my asking, will this be a standalone quest update since it seems like it'll be a little bigger, or will it come with a bigger update that includes advancing the story?  I wondered where the heck I was getting food from all this time XD while I'm a little sad Cheddar is - or may not be - not an option, I love Nyx.  I still say bring back Cheddar as an option.  I loved it because it's ironic to name a dark cat and not an orange one the name of an orange or white cheese XD


Also omg does Lyons have a ball now?!  For a moment there I thought I accidentally loaded up my goofing off character where I brought him a ball and then I realized it definitely was not that character at all!!

Хорошо, спасибо. Лучше перевести и сохранить в переводчике, а потом можно будет открыть квест и отредактировать его в следующем обновлении.

 

I translated Whiskerface for myself - "Whiskered Face". I liked this name.

Hello, I found some minor bugs during the Norita playthrough — nothing that affects gameplay.

Aside from those, the mod worked perfectly and I didn’t come across any CTDs while playing.

*After finishing the Norita storyline, when returning to the park in Pre-War Boston Plaza and walking toward the coffee garden (near the billboard) — where Roxie, Isabella, and the PC sit for the first time — a FratBoy NPC appears hostile toward the PC.

To fix this, I used console commands to remove the hostile status:

000002BC — hex code for aggression ("aggression" as a text string is not recognized by the FO4 console)

Commands used:

setav 000002bc 0  
resetai

Mission: The Way You Say My Name
When reporting the pervert in the bathroom, the Player Character (PC) only says “Hey there”(random dialogue) to Harvey. Harvey responds with mission-related dialogue(Saying that he's going to deal with the pervert in the bathroom), but the PC seems to lack any specific lines. I believe the PC had more dialogue in a previous playthrough (though I’m not entirely sure). ||Occurs with nuka_ride_world_patch.esp and standalone nukaride.esp||

During the Bunker Hill kidnapping sequence, when opening the door to the lab where the player's character sister is, Kellog is supposed to say:

"Goodness gracious... Double trouble for the wasteland." But the line doesn’t trigger. ||the bug occurs only with nuka_ride_world_patch.esp||

*Peach Prevents Sleep
If you talk to Peach for the first time in the apartment around 3 AM, she follows the PC and prevents sleep. The message "You cannot sleep while being asked to leave" appears. Waiting until 8 AM or talking to Peach again and choosing "See you later" sometimes resolves the issue.

*Cherry/Raven Recruitment Bug
After talking to Cherry at the Seven Bar, she allows you to recruit Raven. If the player selects "Exit" during Raven’s dialogue box and tries to speak to him again, the dialogue box won’t open. Talking to Cherry again and then speaking to Raven seems to fix it.

*Michele Stevens Outfit
After completing the Norita storyline, Michele Stevens at the Seven Bar still wears her Pre-War clothes instead of the Seven Bar outfit.

Hello, good evening. Sorry for my English, as it's not my native language.

I was doing some missions, and I got stuck on this part. Shank comes into my apartment, and when I talk to him, the dialogue doesn't continue, and when I try to name my new cat, nothing happens.

The cat thing is my bad. It's an unfinished quest.  Write:

 

StopQuest _NR_MyCat

 

Shank looks weird! I don't know what could be causing it. If you've already stopped the cat quest, click on him and type "Resurrect." Let me know if you were able to fix it.

 

Your cat talks like a setter who wants to give you a quest. But that's not my mod.

Thanks again for the detailed reports! Some of them can be fixed. Harvey's issue is a mystery to me. Norita prefers to say a "GenericDialogue" (priority 20) dialog rather than my custom "_nr_nukashop" dialog (priority 30).

I just discovered that when I skip the stages of amabas missions, the same thing happens, the NPCs say their initial lines and don't continue the conversation, I'm stuck.

Okay? For some reason, when I did what you asked, the dialogue with Shank started working again. I think it worked. Thank you. I think the cat worked out too, I can't interact with him anymore.

I remember playing version 6.9.1g and seeing Norita have a dialogue with Harvey. I believe the bug that cuts off Norita's dialogue only appeared after version 6.9.1h.

Of course if you install an F4SE plugin that is not compatible then you won't know unless you review the f4se logs or notice in-game issues.  Best experience is on a downgraded game, there are a few F4SE plugins recommended that only work on 1.10.163.0.

 

The other option that should be safe (not tested) is perhaps just hiding that DLL in the mod.  I'm on 1.10.163.0, and that plugin works fine for me.

 

 

Still happening even disabling that plugin, if I ignore the warning and keep playing, after 3 hours no problems yet anyway. I forgot to mention that I play on Linux. Also I have a problem with the savageCabbage animations, I am forced to use the 2.8 version, because the latest version crashes on start, any idea why?

You would have to post you crash log, it all works fine here -- so it's your install (other mods, lack of a mod, or something else).  You also may want to post your f4se log and the pop-up your talking about.

Yeah this is an F4SE warning, so disabling the plugin I mentioned earlier would report problems after the game exits (IIRC).  So you need to double-click the Nuka Ride mod, navigate to the File Tree tab and then F4SE/Plugins folder, look for that DLL and right click and Hide.  Or you can just keep clicking "No".  I presume something has changed recently with that DLL (i.e. maybe reporting incompatibility with 1.10.984.0, it wasn't doing that earlier and I haven't tested on 984 in a while).

 

As for the logs you need to check your Documents folder for My Games\Fallout4\F4SE\crash*.log.  Most recent one after the crash.

 

 

Edit: By the way I checked that the DLL reported above does load still on 1.10.984.0 (although it probably shouldn't, since it is not compatible with 1.10.984.0, but dependent on how it is done it may not be an issue unless the Papryus function is invoked).  So that might be a vcredist problem (?).

plugin IneedThatFunction.dll (00000001 IneedThatFunction 01000000) loaded correctly (handle 11)

It's just the script that allows hair dye to change your hair color. The mod doesn't execute those scripts, so you can select "No" and play the game. 

 

When the time comes, you'll see the option to use hair dye with a warning that it only works for the old gen. 

 

We have to wait for a mod called “Papyrus Library” to be updated so that we can all finally use hair dye.
