CBBE, the outfit, when wearing the heels the body match with the outfit, but my intended was the outfit match with the body, so it doesn't look like the pic.

well it did match with the outfit when i wearing the heels, but as you can see my intended is the outfit match with my current preset

CBBE Chubby. No heels. Just barefoot.  Maybe it's something inherent to your preset? Can you share it?

I noticed a bug: when the shadow detaches from the player character's feet, the game lags a bit.

If I move away from the farm, the shadow returns to normal.

I tried changing fBlendSplitDirShadow in Fallout4Prefs.ini from 48 to 128, 256, 512, and even 1024, but it didn’t fix the issue.


Is there a mod that fixes the shadow bug where it detaches from the feet?

You need to do a batch build and build everything with morphs and the same preset.

 

The outfit (without heels) doesn't include the reference body, so it's kind of like a 3D overlay, and it is overlaying over your pre-built nude body.  When you put the heels on your are using the body that was built with the heels (BS will merge the reference body into the heels mesh).  So if the nude body is built with preset A, and the outfit was built with preset B, you will get this problem.  You also get this problem if you use a preset that affects sliders that do not exist on the outfit or body (basically when your nude body is CBBE but you downloaded FG bodyslide files for the outfit, or vice-versa, because not all of the sliders are compatible, it can also happen if you download a BodySlide preset that isn't compatible with either).

 

I think JB already confirmed the outfit builds correctly with CBBE, so it's really one of those scenarios.  I had a similar problem with TRS outfits because I uh completely forgot to download the FG bodyslide files and everytime I put on the heels the boobs shrunk and the outfit hung out like a loose bag.  I was mixing ASA with TRS heels, which ASA was built to my body preset.

 

Here is a further reinforcing example, the built meshes from BodySlide:

I wonder if it's related to broken precombines. Those areas where you have problems have broken precombines. Nuka Town, Dunmores Farm. Izzy's patch needs to regenerate its own precombines.

 

I also feel those areas are somewhat laggy.

Do you usually play with the dialogue camera turned on? Just a few days ago, I was told that my mod doesn't work very well with the dialogue camera turned off.

 

I do have the dialogue camera on.   I prefer it that way, as I get to see Norita's expressions.    But I think thats how I get it moved off the person talking sometimes, since its third person and will move if I touch the mouse.     Not really a big deal, unless you don't realize that it will do that, and you can move it around till you find the dialogue again.  I think the first time I did that I thought the game was stuck, and  the dialogue had disappeared.

Just finished the current story with Norita (6.9.1.b). A very good story : many thanks to JB for this wonderful mod

 

After discovering how beautiful sanctuary pre-war was, it's strange to return there and see it a garbage. Note that the most destroyed house is Norita's house ! ;)

I also found it melancholic to see it all destroyed, and it kind of gave me the idea that Norita should react in some way. Your post reminded me that it would be good to put it in.

JB, thank you for the years of hard work and dedication which you have given - creating, enhancing, and expanding this mod (Nuka Ride).

 

Over the years, I've played the Nora route three times, and more recently, I've played the Norita route three times. I'm currently near the end of a Norita playthrough on the latest version of your mod.

 

Let me please say that the characters of Cherry and Peach are masterpieces; dessert on top of an already amazing experience. I personally like the Norita version of the mod better.

 

Your ideas, creativity, and humor are top notch.

 

Ok, next, I'm pretty sure that you have had offers like what I'm about to offer, in the past, and I'm not sure whether you took advantage of the offer(s), or what may or may not have happened, but, here(below) is what I'm offering, if there is any interest. I also recognize that you may not wish to go back and AI re-generate thousands of lines of text to voice.

 

If there is a fairly straightforward way of delivering the text elements of your mod (thousands of lines of dialog, yes!) I'm willing to proof read and edit every single line, every word, to correct typos, misspellings, wrong word use, etc. (I understand that you, JB, are not a native English language speaker/writer.  I am - and I have a long background of fairly strong writing including creative writing, etc.) I would not change anything except for correcting wrong word use, spelling, and grammar.

I could type a sort of writing resume here, but that's probably overkill for a forum like this. I'll just say that I'm a retired engineer (hardware and software), with a bit of a perfectionist personality.

 

In summary, your creations (mods) are amazing, and I think that many recognize just how talented you are - I still die a little inside when I see or hear wrong words, misspelled words, typo error words in on screen text, or AI voice in my ears.

 

I think the one that gets me the most is the one where Music first takes you on her scooter and she says "Hold on thigh" instead of "Hold on tight", unless that's intentional.

 

Next, a few bug type observations(just mentioning things in the Norita route for now):

 

There are a number of instances when the player (Norita) is talking to Corsican inside the studio, in which his spoken(text) lines and his AI voice lines are completely different vs. each other.

 

There are some instances when Norita's sister speaks, when there is only text, no voiced speech.

 

Using nail polish without HN66 nails, is kind of buggy; sometimes it goes away after a time (like it's supposed to) and sometimes it just stays forever, and even has multiple overlays on top of one another, and using the in game nail polish kit won't remove it e.g. remove black in Looks menu and there's still two or three colors remaining. I think you can't remove the nail polish which the player applies during the old Sanctuary hallucination strip club quest except by using Looks Menu. I recently added HN66, for the Peach hands bug fix, so I'll be using those nails going forward.

 

I chose for Norita to not be a virgin in my latest playthrough, and even though there are many instances where various encounters are supposed to be anal(by the text and voice lines), the AAF animation which plays is VERY clearly vaginal. I'm not referring to any dream or hallucination sequences.

 

Anyway, regardless of whether you would like any editing help, or if it is even practical (it may not be), thank you for your mod(s), and please keep up the amazing work.

OK,  you are still relatively new to LL, so in super active forums (like this one), it is considered best practice to use the @ symbol and the user name to make sure someone sees your message or offer of help, such as @JB..   Second, I am going to take this question as I have seen this offer many times and his answer hasn't changed all that much.  

 

First, all offers for help are greatly appreciated and is seen as showing a significant appreciation of this particular mod.    As you are likely aware, this mod is easily DLC level from a game studio, but lacks the resources of a game studio, that means that any offers of help should be prepared to do a complete job with no additional direction.   

 

So with that: Have at it, but.....please, do it complete as there is a lot of text.  Second, the voices will need be added as well, which that costs money, based on the sheer volume.  Third, and this is the tough one, you have to be flexible enough to always be editing the latest version of NR.  So that means you need coding experience because the lines of dialogue are coded into the game files, unlike textures, music, etc.     

 

There has long been a number of lines that don't fit to native English speakers and some of us who have been around since version 1 have kinda gotten used to it,  like using the word "stuffs" rather than "things".   The main reason those errors don't get corrected is because JB is working on two complex mods and because of the sheer volume of editing required.    I believe he has asked in the past if he should go back and fix non game breaking mistakes or work on new content and the majority of users vote for new content.   

 

I agree that there needs to be a very proactive QC dept.   Take a look at forum entries by @dav42 @lee3310 @izzyknowsand @Axary to get a sense of the level of help, if you want to gauge how much knowledge/time you will need.

I recall JB say to others to send over the dialogue lines, I know someone else has helped in the past with that, he'll have to speak to how he prefers it but I believe there is a import/export format that he uses through CK.  I had a hard enough time trying to move the camera in CK when I needed to use it, ugh fuck why did they make it completely different from the game -- it makes my brain hurt.

Right now I'm going crazy with the pronouns for the cat and my translator. Sometimes it's “it,” sometimes it's “her,” and sometimes it's “him.” I have to keep correcting it all the time. 😫

 

All translations should be done with ESP Translator. It is the simplest and easiest tool to use.

 

The downside is that this process does not change the dialogues timestamps. This makes it virtually impossible to redo the voices in batches.

I also hate spelling mistakes because they take me out of the reading, or as you say, they kill you a little inside. So deep down it also hurts me to upload this knowing that it is full of inconsistencies. 

 

And no, don't go there. You're not the first one to offer to fix my 'engrish' 😆. I'm telling you, everyone, without exception, has given up when they saw the monumental task of correcting all the lines. I wouldn't be surprised if you started to hate me at some point xD

 

You can do what Tentacus did a couple of years ago. He grabbed a handful of quests and corrected them. You don't have to go for all of them. This mod has more dialogue than all the DLCs combined, and we're approaching the size of the Bible in terms of size. 

 

To do this, just download ESP Translator, familiarize yourself with it, set a goal (“I will correct 500 lines”), and then send me the file so I can inject it. If you want. 

 

The downside, as I mentioned earlier, is that with this process there is no way to redo the voices.

lol, again, a "little mechanic" (in this case, to feed the cat) is turning into a quest 😭  Since there is no cat food in the game files, it occurred to me that maybe we should go to an abandoned factory to get some and have Nuka World start selling it.

LOL, love how this is going to turn into a quest.  There has to be something with Isabella where she just says "hey how are you feeding this cat?", and then it rolls into an "oh crap" moment and a quest to find cat food.

Argh, I'd love to. It would even be a chance to go back to post war Sanctuary to get some cat food from Isabella's home and have that "look how our home is now" moment.

 

 

But the quest should start as soon as you meet your new cat. That means, under normal circumstances, the player will meet their new cat as soon as they win the "The Flagpole" quest.

So I can't use any of the girls like Isabella, Kali, Music, or Cherry. Because they aren't there yet. I only have Sophie.

I can do it with Gimp. But today the AI surprised me and made me a script so that an NPC (in this case, the cat) could spawn behind me.

 

So every time we put her food out, the cat will appear and run to eat from her bowl.

It looks amazing but may I make a suggestion about the quest timing? You say this quest has to take place after Flagpole and you're right because that's when you get the cat and that's when you need to start feeding the cat. But can't we do something like this?...The game files doesn't have a cat food but it has canned dog food. Maybe you can duplicate that asset and rename it to canned cat food. You can have a mini quest like feed the cat where Norita talks to the shopkeeper and she suggests the canned food.

 

And then later on when we have all the other girls available you can find the opportunity for like @dav42 said...maybe Isabella asks what you are feeding the cat and then she scolds Norita for feeding it such poor quality cat food. Maybe she lectures her about all the nutrients the cats missing out come complete scientific analysis, lol and then Isabella can say something like wasn't there a pet food factory at "that location" and the both of them can go on an adventure together?

 

Just my thoughts obviously...because you seem to also like dav42s idea because it ties in with the reaction to Sanctuary as well..

 

You know, unless I misunderstood why you wanted this to happen right after Flagpole.
