The quest stages are in the folder where you downloaded the mod.

Also. you can temporarily turn off the dialogue camera in the game settings.

I finished that quest using console commands but all they did was ask me to sit down still, do it didn't accomplish anything. i'll try the camera thing.

The only thing that crash there is always the camera. I have done a bunch of playthroughs now. Nothing else ever crashes the game there if you look in your buffout logs you will always see it mention the camera as the culprit. Even if you turn that off you might get that happening. Also regardless if you turn that off. Do not touch your mouse as soon as you click on the chair to sit down. If the camera breaks the game will immediately ctd when Sophie starts talking

I just got the key to my apartment in Nuka World. Is it possible to leave Nuka World and go back to the Common Wealth and then pick up the NR quests again? I can't seem to leave leave NW there's no option to fast travel back to the Common Wealth. Does that option become available at a certain point without finishing the story? TIA! This has been fun so far.

Yes, at some point of the story you will get a scooter that you can use to travel around the commonwealth.

You can turn the dialogue camera back on now, and turn it off again if you replay that backyard dinner scenario.

 

In my experience the camera tends to cause CTD in open locations when there are conflicts in the precombines or the precombines are broken. 

 

An example is Commonwealth Slavers. If Slavers has higher priority, you'll see that Nuka World is a merge between the new stuff and things that should be disabled: the Dunmore's yellow-leafed tree merges with the vanilla dead tree, etc. 

 

Now, I don't usually play with a mouse. I'll try tonight to see if I can reproduce the CTD.

XDI doesn't like the mix between the message box and the dialogs that you see in your picture. Note that those dialogs you see there are not from my mod, you are going to save yourself a headache if you disable it (I think it's sexual harrasment). It doesn't make any sense for Brett to harass the main character wtf 😭

I don't think this is such a good idea...wait till you get the scooter and permission to go to the Commonwealth.

There is a timer in the MCM to set the length of time you are allowed to be gone as well as Fusion Core useable time.

You probably would not be able to get back, and as discussed if one uses the Tram it shuts down NR altogether.

Or get the survival bus mod and use that its got bus stops all over nukaworld which is great. I turned mine into a NW party bus.

You guys are on the ball! I still have not played the latest release so I am looking forward to all the changes made.

And here I just finished playing New Vegas a few times through, and started up FO4 again. And I arrived just in time for the new NR update. Talk about convenience. Keep up the good work JB.. This mod, even with the 'broken English', has better writing, and a more coherent/believable story, than the entirety of FO4 and all it's DLCs in vanilla.

Also one other thing after trying out the newest 6.7 version for a little bit:

Axary did a really good job with the new VO addon. There's a lot fewer word mispronunciations, like the word 'Okay', no longer sounds like 'oak'. Plus the new voices sound good as well, well less 'robonitronic' I mean.

 

Anyway just thought I had to add that. Because they have really improved drastically.

Keep up the spectacular work NR team. This is an amazing mod.

I wish you the least incident-free game possible.  😄 By the way the mod's English improved since I stopped using Google Translator for DeepL.

Yeah, I saw that. But there was one incident I had. Not due to the mod, but just overall Bethesda stupidity and bad programming.

I went through one of the longer quests in this mod, and right as I finished it, the game decided to say "You shall not pass!" and hit me with a CTD. Ended up having to redo the entire quest, a good 2 hours gone right down the crapper.

 

Never the less, I had to restart that game anyway. As I didn't know that I had to be right on top of Vault 111 to get the new Norieta option to pop up. Maybe expand that activation area to include the Sanctuary area as well, as that is where the 'Another Life' alt start mod drops you when selecting 'Vault Dweller'. Just a thought.

 

Anyway, outside of that, all is running smoothly so far.

As far as I could find I can't set a “radius”, but cells. So I chose the outer cell of vault 111. Sanctuary has about 8/9 cells, and in that case I should also grab the cells that connect the vault to sanctuary. Too many cells.  

 

But there are more factors. One advantage is that the terrain there is open and flat. The Grandparents are not going to spawn inside a house or, worse, on the edge of a hill. 

 

Just remember to save often. 👌

Disclaimer: To Anyone who uses AAF Prostitution along with Nuka World, you might need this!

AAF comes with its own edited copy of SavageCabbage_furnitureData.xml that overwrites the original one from the main animation pack. While it does add new entries, it also at the same time removes many from the original copy. This can lead to certain animations not playing (e.g: the pole dancing scene when meeting Mason) and forces you to delete that particular XML. But this might also reduce functionality of AAF Prostitution. That's why I painstakingly put together my own copy by using the original as base and copying and reorganizing new furniture entries.

 

Linked below is a copy of the edited .XML (ONLY FOR 0.86.6, no support given for later versions of the .xml until I post them!)

Let me clarify, 0.86.6 is the latest version of AAF Prostitution, and it's unlikely to get a new update. But in the event it does, I'd like other forumn members to know that this would become outdated. It might still somewhat work, but it's always best to make a new patch after every update, or at the very least check if there is anything new.
