AAF Nuka Ride: A Porn Studio Mod

Greetings everybody!

I peek in here because I could have an issue?

The thing is: I have the mod installed and passed quite some time installing all its requirements and optional features, then I started a new game.

No bot showed up.. and still not showing even if I'm now level 24. I wondered only around Vault 111 and Sanctuary where I built a lot (that's mainly the levelling up), the only quest I have completed is rescuing Preston and his people and lead them to Sanctualy.

Waiting near the Vault, fast travelling there or just letting the time pass is not working to have the Bot spawn and the initial quest start.

So I'm a bit lost...

.. is there a way to spawn the "first contact" NPC just to try if the quest and the mod actually works?

So far I tried to spawn what my console gives out for "Duke" but all I got is a dog and a dude in a power armor.

The folder with the mod is there with all its needs and Vortex Mod installer gives no warnings at all.

Any idea why this thing doesn't start for me?

Thank you. ?

An easy way to find out if the mod is installed correctly is by looking at the MCM. It should say "Nuka Ride" and upon entering you should see all the options.

If you get a message that the plugin is missing, it is because you are missing more requirements, so check the main page again.

Also, every time you start a game, you should see a message saying "Nuka Ride: Ready!".

Unfortunately I have not "Nuka Ride" in MCM.

Yet I get no "missing plugin" messages.

Pretty sure I got the "Nuka Ride Ready" though as I recall I actually giggled thinking: "I can't believe I did all nicely" - lol ?

I guess I will check back requirements and everything  again. ?

This is a usual sign that you have downloaded and installed the entire MEGA folder. What you actually have to do is choose and download the files individually.

The basics would be:

  1. Nuka Ride 6.2.4
  2. Bodyslide for CBBE or FG

The rest are very interesting accessories. But start with the basics.

Ok. I checked everything and I have all I need perfectly installed (reinstalled the basics from scratch too).

Tried starting a new game and actually the "Nuka Ride Ready" message didn't pop up, may be happened my first run too at this point.

So the thing is: the mod is not loading and I can't figure out why.

I have no issue messages both from the Mod Organizer and the game itself.

Everything else is working smooth as oil, just Nuka Ride seems "sleeping"/ hiding.

Hummm.... ?

I have no time for further checking right now.. i will try again in some hours.

Thank you so much for your support! and please do send me suggestions. ?

Mega has 2 download options: "Standard Download" and "Download as Zip".

Sometimes people make a mistake and click "Download as Zip", this leads to an archive inside the archive(.7z in .zip), and the mod does not work, because the mod manager puts in the Data folder not the mod files, but its .7z archive.

Check the file extension, it should be "Nuka Ride 6.2.4.7z".

If you have "Nuka Ride 6.2.4.zip", this is the cause of your problem. You need to unzip it first, and then install it.

Yes. Just figured it out myself: the archieve was added zipped.

My fault for sure: I could have clicked the wrong option just and only for this mod. ?

Now everything showed up and the mod is running.

Thank you! ?

If you enable cheats to skip the quests you have already done and seen before, does it then also flag that you've done the extra stuff? Like, danced to get the motorcycle in Diamond City? Or does that not really matter in the grand scheme of things?

There were a couple of situations that required a solution on my part, but today they are already solved so the most important flags are already marked so that you don't miss anything.

The big difference is if you decide to skip "Fever Night."

If you skip that quest, the game will act as if you didn't dance with Fever, and thus he had to deal with a suicidal super mutant, blocking many dialogue options during "Fly Me to The Moon". But that doesn't break the quest progression, there will just be a lot of dialogues that will be blocked.

This requires more conditions than I anticipated, it is a complex mechanic.

When your allowed hours are over, a new timer starts (which is let's say the overtime the OB allows you before getting angry, you get a notification when that happens). It is at this time that you can tell the OB that you are back, not before.

When I go back to Nuka Ride I'll see if I can do it another way.

However, this seems to be the case for @0tt3r82 The OB should have said hello. If the OB doesn't respond -he always responds- I wonder if it's more because he had that AAF bug that doesn't let you interact with ANYTHING after manually finishing a scene.

FYI, he did respond before, but it started the chores quest that gets him food and walk the dog. After finishing that, he doesn't answer.

I loaded the game again. I checked the AAF admin to see if there were any errors. I didn't see any. So I decided to proceed with the Attitude Adjustment quest. Which this would be the 2nd time doing it. I did notice that OB mentions that he "can't believe that he has to do this AGAIN" and makes reference to his tattoo on the player body.

Another strange bug started happening. While on the walk from Fizztop Mountain to the market, the OB gets stuck in a loop that sends him backwards until he is outside the wall just past Nisha's lair. I used the command prompts to jump to the end of the quest. But now I cannot find the OB anywhere.

Phew, I'm going to test it soon. I'm playing the mod today too. This kind of navmesh bug requires a quick solution.

How about sitting somewhere and waiting a couple of hours? The OB should be back at his base if the _nukaride_punishment quest is on "Stop".

SQV _nukaride_punishment

EDIT: Ok, I tried a save there and have had no problems with the OB pathing. Make sure my mod has priority. My mod has navmeshes of its own that could conflict with other mods modifying the same place as me.

Alrighty, since I've already gone through the mod once and only need to catch up to the latest content, then there were some things that caught my eye when I skipped some quests(I played out some of the first/early quests because I still lacked the courage to skip, but alas).

Outfits seem to not be distributed when these quests are skipped:

- Apollo (only the bag you get)

- VIP Party

- Made in Heaven (Also, as a side note, you do not get the extra option of Vanilla vs Non-vanilla when you "fuck" Shaun.

- Lost in the Jungle (No wild outfit, no overqueen outfit and also no slugger)

- The Special Girls (also no tattoo set unlock)

- Kill me Softly (no bunnies)

This is just the stuff that I can remember(or misremember) at the top of my head.

I discussed that at the time with some users, but maybe I'll put it in the MCM. I don't want to award with items, tattoos and clothes using cheat mode, for that you better play normally.

However, at NR6, Kali sells you all the items.

Skipping "Made in Heaven" sends you to the vanilla route, which is let's say the cannon route. At least it is the route to which I put more interest. Whenever I start writing a quest I start from the base of the vanilla vault dweller.

Hey dude. You've definitely got one of my favorite mods of all time.
I was just wondering though, if you've ever taken your mod into Xedit? You've got about 1000 Physic Reference Errors. I'm going to clean them all, if you want I can reupload the cleaned file to you but, it would be WAY better if you replaced the errors with whatever reference is supposed to be in there.

Those always come in bulk when I add a new DLC as a hard requirement. However, I don't have any errors now, except the usual two harmless ones concerning the faces of two characters. Or maybe you are using another tool?

It seems like a good place for the actors to live, they would go there at night.

But then I think something like that doesn't help the story, so maybe I'll use it for something else.

I mean no disrespect, JB, but there are other ways of telling stories. Like through the open-world using environmental storytelling.

My long-winded diatribe:

Spoiler

Suppose if, for a hypothetical, at some point in the Nuka-Ride story, Billy starts sneaking out of his apartment and into Music's apartment. At night. And very early in the morning, Billy is seen leaving Music's apartment and sneaking back to his place. Now, this to me implies that they're sleeping together and they're trying to keep it on the down-low, which makes sense.

Having NPCs moving about and having scheduled, "simulated lives", even if that simulation is shallow, is always preferred over having them pacing around the same room 24/7. I play Bethesda titles for mods, yes; but also the simulation they (used to) do, while so many other studios never bothered. That simulation allows for mods that have no story, like Sexual Harassment, or have an emmergent story, like Raider Pet, to not get stale immediately.

Question: Is there a cheat sheet that will show me all the Nuka-Ride Chokers and their worn effects? I don't need to know how to get them, just the effects on the ones I already collected.

Thanks!

Theoretically, this could be done in the continuation of the story.
But it doesn't make sense now.
I don't want to spoil the story, but when you get to know the story of NR-6, you'll understand why it is.

Ah well, I always considered something like this to be a "Skip Mode" and not so much a cheat. Cheating would imply that you can fail the quest :^)

But its fine to me, forgot about the shop. Fallout isn't always the most stable of games, so I have had to re-mod and replay through the questline a few times to see the new stuff. Very happy about there being a skip mode for that.

Keep up the great work! :)

It was a hypothetical. If the particulars don't fit due to story events, it doesn't matter; it was an example.

By not wanting to spoil the story, you spoiled the story. Less is more, my friend. Less is more. ?

I'm using FO4edit.
Luckily all the errors were in bulk so it was easy to chop through them relatively quickly. And like I said before, they were just physics references so it's no big deal. Again, you've got one of the best mods out there. Fusion City probably takes the cake but you're not far behind them. Even if you had a million errors, I'd clean them. Nothings going to stop me from using this mod in my female playthroughs.
If you ever need Photoshop work done, or just need someone to write for you, let me know. I'm in school for Game Design and I have 3 jobs and 5 kids but, I DO make time late at night to work on mods. Any help you need I'd gladly help you out. I am also a 16 year video editor so if you ever want a Trailer made for one of your mods, definitely hit me up bud.

Keep on keeping on!

Where exactly do you see 1000 Reference Errors?
In the post above JB showed you a screenshot of NR error checking using FO4Edit. And there are no errors(only 2 errors related to LooksMenu).

I also tried to check NR with FO4Edit: I loaded FO4Edit with all my mods -> right-clicked on "Nuka Ride.esp" -> selected "Check for Errors" - > got the same result as JB.
I'm interested, what FO4Edit plugin are you using to see these errors?

PS

Please understand me correctly, I'm actually asking you, not trying to argue with you. I'm really interested in this, I want to understand it for the purpose of self-improvement.

Hey Sickotik, a while ago I threatened to redo some of his posters.  However my attempt shows that I am not very good at photoshop.    Also at that time, @JB. had not come up with the Golden Globes icon (or I hadn't seen it yet), so my idea was to use his avatar as the first "star" of the videos and replace the......ahem....."good will humping" poster with something better.     The point was to get a poster for golden globes, with the distressed look (i.e. the poster has been out in the elements) with the Nuka World logo somewhere on the poster as well.   While I used a real porn movie for my graphic backdrop, you could use just a screen shot of FO4.   Also, grabbing some classy photos from your other mods and adding them in for "The Dog Walker" and "The Motorcycle" might be nice, but..........everyone uses a different PC style (mine is in the second spoiler) so....not sure if it will be something that would make the mod better.

Spoiler

Also, at the time, there was a discussion that the PC would star in a movie with Cito and I was strongly suggesting that it become the "hit", making the PC's porn career more closely match the typical rise in fame, the first big hit gets her face out there and the demand shoots up, then her next good one is what makes her a certified star.....no one remembers "Seperated" being one of Racquel Darrian's first movie, but Night Trips II was her "first hit", then she embarked on a series of "Racquel <insert rest of title here>" making her a superstar........right before the internet takes off and makes Jenna Jamison the first internet "porn super star".

You're fine man. I'm not using any external plugins. It was just FO4 edit. Let me throw the original file back in there and open it up and I'll link a pic for you guys. I already cleaned the one in my game. Here's a video... There's about a billion errors here, you'll see. And hey, if yours doesn't have it, that's great news. I just wonder why mine does. Also, for the record, I ONLY loaded in Nuka Ride and it's dependencies.

Look at all those, lol

I'm sure you don't have the latest version, where everything is cleaned up. ?

Thanks for your offer. In fact, half of this mod is made with the assets that many users have given/given/made. If you want to make some porn posters, those are welcome!

It would be cool to understand why you're getting these errors, because you're not the first person to mention it.

Maybe you have a different version of the game? Or a different store(Steam/GOG/EGS/GamePass)?

I have: Steam v1.10.163 / F4SE 0.6.23
