My last save game before this point is before starting Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, so if I can figure this out without reloading I would prefer not having to replay that quest. But I will if I have to.

 

Don't worry, that type of problem (packages) doesn't require restarting anything, but simply finding and removing the cause.

He uses a package called "_NR_Gage_StayAtSpot_Heaven", which forces him to stay still during stages 110 to 150 of "Made in Heaven", but since we're talking about the original Gage, then another mod may have a package for the same NPC.

 

Let's do a little test. I'm going to give the Made in Heaven quest a priority of 100, see if that helps. Install this and replace it with the original.

Yeah, if you follow the official guide it would be better. 

 

It seems that your problem stems from having outdated patches. The best thing would be to follow the official guide step by step, but deleting everything that you had previously related to AAF. A single outdated line or file can cause you a lot of trouble. The 68% error is due to exactly that: something is wrong with the installed XML files.

I called and tested every stage, got the same result, didn't got any dialogs, but animations and everything else went fine, including the one in the movies, and 910 with Colter, i got paid, and got the notification for the repeatable quest every day.
i'll just play it full in a new game later, got a nice idea of the history anyway.

If memory serves, you can run into similar problems if you didn't enable protectron and gorilla animations when you installed Savage Cabbage's animation pack, since NR has XML files which refer to those animations. (It's possible this has been solved in newer versions by copying the necessary XML into NR itself, I haven't checked.)

Thats weird. In that case I suggest stage 100 (the Lyons walk begins).

After the walk was where I had problems.  It seemed like the walk never finished... I could not really engage with the overboss.  He spoke a couple of throwaway lines, something about me expecting pay for walking the dog and having two dogs off leash but no real dialogue.  I couldn't progress so because the quest markers had sent me back to cook for the overboss I did just that.  Sadly, that kicked off the old investors party quest and it turned into a real clusterfuck from there. 

 

I started the dog walk again but got angered at all the ass slapping and rape attempts so I killed that dickhead in the theater.  That kicked off a quest to kill all the raider bosses.  Oops.  Well, that was a lot of fun until I died.  ?

I tried messing with the stages at first too, but it seemed to screw up a lot of things, so I just loaded a save and went through it without getting things out of whack.....it seems all you have to do is sneeze to get FO4 upset?

Me too. It's caused by the CWSS mod, which attempts to provide working toilets and showers throughout the game world. If you move up to them, the one with the lid down will show up as CWSS toilet.

It doesn't affect functionality with the toilet.   However, the showers can be too closely placed together for the working CWSS shower to be used.  If you select the non-working toilet or shower in the console and use 'setpos z -1000' it will move the non-working toilet out of the visible world.  It doesn't delete it, but it gets it out of the way.  This also works for devices left over from a bad end animation.  'Markfordelete' might work too, but I haven't tried that one.

So I just went to talk with the Overboss and tried a different dialog...the one to play with his slaves and it just CTD's.  Where would one find the buffout file to see what is happening.  Maybe I don't have the right animation files istalled correctly or not at all.  It goes to load the scene and then quits.

It happened to osculim. Fixed it by reinstalling UAP and unchecking the sounds box.

 

There's something weird about those moan files, probably one of them is corrupted.

Let's do a little test. I'm going to give the Made in Heaven quest a priority of 100, see if that helps. Install this and replace it with the original.

Yep he can install custom moans to replace the uap moans that caused the crash tho. So its not at least completely silent. And they actually work better too.

If it it looks like you are stuck on the dog walk. Just talk to the dog. Sometimes I forget to tell him to go again. So after shank, after savoy at the theater. talk to the dog should update then.

There is something that is forcing William and Gage back to Nuka World. It doesn't affect Music because she's from my mod, instead it seems to only affect the DLC actors.

It's a shame there isn't a mod that tells us what package an actor is currently running. We would catch the culprit instantly.

 

 

When you visit the Overboss and Maxson, can you see Gage in the base too? Because he has a package that makes him go and stand guard nearby.

I have an Idea to fix that problem. Don't know how easy it would be to do as I know absolutely nothing about the creation kit. You say Music is not affected by this because she is your own character. Can't you maby make 2 custom basic npcs give them the looks of cage and william and let them replace the two for those quests.

First I need to know why this happens. I can't go around giving console commands all the time because I can't fix a problem that way. You're the first to report a problem with this part so, assuming you have version 4.0.2c installed, write this and let me know what you get.

I already tried it a long time ago and I have a very big problem:

 

1-The face of the cloned Gage turns green. It loses its textures.


2-If he doesn't turn green, his facias texture is that of an 80-year-old Gage. I tried to correct it manually but it is not the same Gage.

It's the same with Maxson. I can't make a clone of Maxson because his faces lose their textures. I tried to use Face Ripper and it didn't work. I don't know if it's because they use special textures or something. That's when I decided to use the original actors.

Thats a shame. Ow well was just a thought. Quick issue tho. Super small when you cook for the overboss and you are not a vault dweller he makes the remark about you being a lawyer and that your food suck. I assume the lawyer comment was meant for a vaultdweller character.
