All of the little things forgotten when you installed a mod years ago, lol.  I really wish MO2 or any mod manager could capture all of the FOMOD selections and record it, because I know I wouldn't have remembered that Captive Tattoos had a FOMOD installer with options for texture.

Hi JB

 

On latest AE, thought time to go, Tested it a few days ago, picked the soft route, left 111 Duke appears and eveything worrked perfectly.  Decided to finish a couplle of things (not quests) and try again.

 

Second time activated mod in 111; travel to surface and Duke appears as expected.  In the past he always moves away and you talk to him quickly.  This time he approaches the player and nothing he just hovers there, doesn't talk to me at all, will not interact,.  I don't use a head tracking mod or anyhting liek that any idea what I am doing wrong.  

 

I have gone back to earlier saves and all have the same iisue.  Sorry.

I wish mod makers would add a text file telling what other mods a required ,some mods I have long disappeared from the sites and I have to figure out what other ones they used when I do a fresh install every few years,I now group the mods with their required ones in a folder but I didn't do that years ago,face presets are the worst culprits

Yeah there is so much room for improvement for mods & mod management, but some of the problems are so deep that they seem uncorrectable.  One basic thing would be a proper dependency system, but for that to work cleanly you would need a registry that didn't discriminate and people could actually tolerance when they choose to monetize the platform or make things reliable.  Like the whole thing with Nexus where a bunch of mods were pulled because they changed policies so that collections would be reliable (which they still are not), it came from a place where they were trying to solve something in the community but I guess people felt the policy was a bit too authoritarian.  I mean you could make it work by just using unique identifiers (uuid's) but then people probably wouldn't use the same uuid on the mod, or a parseable versioning scheme, and at the end of the day you would just say "your missing X", you can kind of do this with FOMODs by checking for the existence of files -- usually I have seen it done to enable conditional features in the installer.

I know you said something about Nate is home sick at some point and there is loud music playing (I'm assuming the party that Norita, Isabella, and Roxie are going to) and you could always have a thing where Nora shows up and has to choose between partying with them or shutting things down with different rewards (or the same rewards idk lol) and sees some of her swinger friends there which makes the decision harder, or have a thing where Nate knows she's gonna have to do something sexy to get them to stop the party early, and she gets caught by the super nosy neighbor and then has to try to convert her to being a little more sexy XD

 

If Nate is in on the sexy fun, then that way you can still have it be super emotional (in between the sexy bits you can have him and Nora doing normal boring and mundane things but talking, having a lot in common even if they dont agree on everything, respecting each other talking about how crazy things were when Shaun was first born and she was pregnant and both apologizing for how they were acting and glad the marriage worked out, looking to the future and playing with Baby shaun together.  The Mother in law is an amaaaaaaaaazing idea, and could add humor and a reason Nora may want to get out of the house, and then Nate sorta realizing his mom is being a lot and encouraging her to get out and have fun and super loving and supportive

I doubt anything in 6.9.4 will address whatever problem your having, but the usual advice is to make sure Nuka Ride is at the bottom of your load order and start a new game.  If that doesn't solve it then maybe post your load order & mod list.  Using the recommended/required mod list should work fine with old-gen (1.10.163.0 game version) downgrade from AE (i.e. Simple Fallout 4 Downgrader).  If you don't go that route, then you might want to use the method with xEdit to at least do the most basic check for conflicts and review that.

 

If your actually using AE game version, then you will probably have challenges.  I am sure someone will chime in on how you can use a sketchy plugin from some rando on the internet with AE, but I don't trust that stuff unless it come from the original author (i.e. OCBP, LooksMenu, SUP_F4SE) -- it's not that these folks are untrustworthy but I would rather give it more time to see of the original author provides an update.  I am sure it's not hard or impossible to trojanize an F4SE plugin, and unfortunately seeing a lot more trojanized mods on LL & Discord targeting the gaming community.  You can safeguard yourself from a lot of that by just using things from trustworthy sources (people with reputation).

You know I had the same thought about Nora after the league blew up she started to think about swinging she already was doing nude beaches and checking the young mechanic out and with Nate being deployed and all a housewife can get a bit lonely but some of it wont work with the timeline and that's where I got stuck,unless JB creates a dream or reminisce sequence where she started banging months before,who knows Shaun may not even be Nate's hahaha

Yeah CS is a rough ride it's the first game where I felt any empathy for my character ,play Nukaride and choose the young vault dwellers path  it will be quite therapeutic after CS

The sight of them both playing with the baby is going to kill me, it's so emotional xD I thought about them both putting up posters in one of the pre-war squares, but again, Nate is such an emotional component, I think it would be better if he wasn't so important to the plot. I'd almost rather just leave him asleep in his bed. 

 

Yeah, Nora has to stop the frat party at the neighbor's house because Nate can't rest and is sick. But the frat boys don't really listen to her. Then Nora gets the Sigma Phi Alpha outfit (in the postwar period, other quest) and when she travels back in time, the frat boys not only listen to her but invite her to the party.

 

Then there's another very sexual quest where Nora crashes into Mr. Summer's car, and since she doesn't have insurance, she becomes his sex slave. (Just like that, I hadn't planned anything about what activities to do).

 

Those were always my only two post-war quests for Nora, but then I got more ideas for Mr. Summer's quests. Because now we have a pre-war strip club.

Maybe the mother-in-law is extremely racist and the drug dealers are black. 

 

But for this to have an impact, we first need to get to know the MIL and the neighbor. I need to give Nora some friends, like Isabella and Sophie. A mother-in-law who doesn't trust her daughter-in-law, who spies on her to find reasons for a divorce, perhaps. And a very religious friend who tries to help Nora with her problems, but ends up getting involved herself. So... the quest, at least in its planning, is getting very fat.

On the Norita path i'm pretty sure there is zero non-con stuffs. On the Nora path there is opportunity for non-con stuffs but not nearly as often as that. XD

 

Obviously ignoring any other mods that might add their own non-con shennagins.

Sounds like you already have everything mapped out. I'm just thinking out loud so take it as you will...why aren't you leaving Nate and Shaun asleep in their bed? The cupcake world is a sort if magic reality influenced by Nora/Noritas psyche, isn't it? I think the way I would approach it is to write the quests in such a way finding Nate and Shaun would be the emotional climax of the quest series...because Nora needs to overcome her guilt before she can face them. Like, you're saying the emotionality of playing with her baby is going to kill you but think about Nora, its going to kill her even harder so of course despite every fibre of her being wanting to hold her baby and loving husband, she's going to avoid it. Even though she has suppressed everything and is adapting to her circumstance in Nuka world, unlike Norita she is carrying an enormous burden of guilt. The guilt of surviving, the guilt of betraying her conservative values, the guilt of moving on from her prematurely ended marriage, the guilt of being a coward who couldn't seek revenge, the guilt of giving up on her only son and the guilt of finding happiness despite everything. On top of that, when confronted with the idea of seeing Nate again, she's going to have to confront her feelings about the Overboss and whom she actually wants or even should want. So as long as the cupcake world is kind of part of her psyche...I think the world itself wouldn't allow her to see Nate and her baby unless she resolves all these issues.

 

So maybe when she enters the cupcake world the first time and walks upto her house, instead of being able to get in, Nora could get yelled at by Nate's mom about where she's been and why hasn't she shut those hooligans down yet even though her son is sick and in bed. And so despite wanting to see Shaun and Nate, Nora runs off to the frat party because she isn't actually ready yet and because she feels like she owes it to them that they can have a good uninterrupted rest. So then she completes the frat party thing and confronts her guilt about abandoning Shaun and finding happiness or something so that by the end of that quest she's come to terms with who she was and who she's become.

 

Similarly, I think each quest should start with Nora finally going to meet Nate and Shaun but some hilarious shenanigans causes her to get side tracked and becoming a stripper or a drug dealer or a sex slave or whatever. It would be a good touch to have other characters talk about Nate and the baby so that we know whats going on with them but we never get to meet them. So each quest with Mr Summer or the MIL or the neighbor or the stripclub would tackle some aspect of Nora's emotional core so that by the time she meets Nate and Shaun she's accepted herself and what they mean to the new her. This will also help you distribute that emotianilty in bits while mixing it with comedy and lots of sexy times so that when she finally meets them, the emotionality isn't overwhelming and is atleast a little bit more rewarding.

 

You probably already thought about all this or maybe this doesn't mesh at all with your overall plans...but thats how I was thinking.

thanks you two, yeah im considering playing it then lol. CS was rough yeah, but it was a good playthrough actually, id say because the mid game was that fucked up the ending quest hit even harder. Im gonna think about who im gonna play, in general i dont shy away from the rough stuff since i like unfilitered shit. But after CS i gotta actually think about it lmao. Either way im gonna play nuka ride soon, maybe even post then wich route ive chosen!

I'm not sure if this mod is responsible but it only happens during sex. My character while sex is happening will often have pop-ups saying things like I need sex etc which is kinda annoying as she's a currently having sex. Any way to stop this?

Also if I get hit, blood appears and looks extremely blocky and never seems to fade.

Last one, what are you guys doing to make your PC beautiful? Mine looks good but compared to Skyrim she's nothing. Why is is so hard to do?

It's not from this mod.  Sex attributes will do notifications (not pop-ups) about that (but I have never seen it playing this mod), you probably have other mods installed not on the recommend/required list.

Yes sorry, I meant notifications. So it is Sex Attributes?

The only mods I have are the ones needed to play this mod and Commonwealth Slavers.
