@JB. Daddy, hi. I was thinking about how to expand Norita's path... I'm not sure you read everything I suggested earlier and what I wrote to you in private messages... I think we need a new abduction. Apparently, the beauty-virgin's reputation has spread far beyond the community...

Perhaps it's worth setting a trap for Norita through fan letters, luring her somewhere, similar to the event with former employees of the institute... perhaps someone else from the powerful (rich) world would want to order her for their birthday, an event with a cake.

I know you have a good imagination, daddy. I've been a good girl, and maybe you can expand on the starting quest chain as I mentioned earlier. Are you planning on upgrading to the new version of the game? Thank you for your attention and your work.

Well, the truth is I was offended by the "why are you wasting your time with Slavers?" in my private messages, so I've stopped checking them. It might be a translation issue, but I didn't take it well.

As for the ideas, I really prefer to read them here on the forum. I forgot to mention this to another user. @Dreizza

There are plenty of ideas. But whoever is writing ideas needs to have a good understanding of what can and can't be done with this engine, what resources we have, and where we're short. If someone asks me to, for example, pet a cat or have a toilet seat open, then it can't be good.

Small ideas are welcome. Big ideas... you have to be careful. Brainstorming a scenario might take minutes. But implementing it in the game? That can take weeks, and that's time you have to weigh up to see if it's worth it.

Just one example. In the next update, Saint Ophelia School will reopen its gates, and of course, we have a couple of missions there. But it needs to be shown. Students need to be present outside, inside the building, and in the classrooms, and that requires creating packages. Unique packages for some students, and more generic packages for others.

Testing packages pics. During study hours, all the students spread across the three squares go to Saint Ophelia. And when classes begin, one group goes to class.

PS: I learned the generic "sit in any chair you can find" package while programming the quest "The Combat Zone" for Slavers. A real time-saver.

JB. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, and I'm sorry if I did and this is now redundant.

But it seems like there are no CWSS showers placed in 'The Lusty Lady', and/or at Norita's house in the 'bygone era' part (trying not to spoil anything).

Could that be rectified? Seems like a bit of an oversight. As it's a little strange to have to go through that part completely filthy.

I'm on version 6.9.0k so it may have already been added; If so, just tell me to update.

Thanks a bunch JB, I still think this mod is better than the vanilla game.

If only BGS could pull their heads out their asses and stop sniffing their own farts, they might be able to make something as good as this.

I delegate that to @izzyknows since he's the one who makes the patches for CWSS. 😝

While I don't use that mod myself, I do agree that there are oversights of that type. A few days ago, I was testing a new quest and specifically a new outfit, and I realized that Nora/Norita has no way to get a trim in the pre-war era, so I had to find a razor mesh to use in the pre-war era.

I'm sorry! I would never say that about your work and the time you put into these masterpieces. I wrote that I'm looking forward to you finishing that project and returning to the path of Nora and Norita. Once again, I apologize for this misunderstanding.

Yeah, I kinda thought it might be a bit of a 'WHOOPSIE!' (gotta imagine Dan Forden popping up MK3 style when saying that).

Anyway, guess that's just one more thing that needs a bit of an update soon(ish).

Thanks JB.

I wouldn't mind to see something like this as the second part of USS "Steel Moon" visit.

Remember that scene from Under siege ?

I think it is technically impossible to do this.

I'm not sure how that can happen because Dara is marked as essential. Just click on her and type resurrect.

Oh!  Ever since I began playing, there will be these rare times where this happens to me, even though I know she's essential.  Resurrect always fixes it 🖤  It's the cars, the little racer ones on the track.  I've found that what will happen (at least for me) is I'll do the whole scene at the castle, talk to everyone, then go talk to Dara.  After our discussion it sends me back to Seven Bar to sleep while she walks back to her camp.  If I linger too long outside of Seven Bar I can follow her map marker as she's walking, and I think sometimes she gets a little stuck.  I've followed her just out of curiosity many times, and she does seem to take the best route possible usually, but there were a couple of times she walked down a little hill area and onto the tracks, where she was struck by the racing cars.  It launched her in typical Fallout physics fashion pretty far away (which may be how this user found her by the Ferris Wheel) but to be fair to you, your mod, and those cars killing your NPC with essential status....I know when I've played in essential or god mode those cars can outright kill me...even in god mode, one hit can send me into a reload screen from time to time.   This happens in vanilla DLC, so the cars themselves are just god-killing murder machines.

1: Gotta love BGS's bullshit "path-finding" system where 'the shortest distance is always a straight line' even if it goes right into a wall, object, or death trap.

2: It's because of that bullshit path-finding system, it's very easy to make unassailable settlements with stacked foundations as walls.

And 3: Gotta love BGS's own systems not playing by the rules. "To hell with "God mode"! Let's make these tiny cars kill you anyway... He he he." Pathetic. BGS just can't seem to do anything right.

This is very interesting. I updated from 6.9.0f to 6.9.3g and the save was at the point on getting the visit from Maxson when he tells you about the overboss & gage going to the galactic park to take it. On going into nuka market, everything was fine, this happened right after the dialogue prompt confirming what maxson said. After completing the conversation with OB and Gage, everything went back to normal.

ScreenShot5.png

It's a texture error. I re installed the mod and certain parts of some of the clothing are this purple. I have seen it for a long time but never found a solution.

Last year, Izzy told me that we can paint the navmeshes (usually red) gold using "P" in the navmesh mode. Gold means preferred pathfinding, so NPCs don't take the straight line if you take the time to paint the path.

For example, when Nora goes with her baby to visit Norita, you'll notice that she walks home on the sidewalk. I made the path for her. Otherwise, she walks in the middle of the street and looks so wild and uncivilized xD

Bethesda does this a lot for the initial quests, but then they kind of stop caring. It's amazing how well done the first quest is, where Nora and Nate flee to the Vault. But there's not as much care put into it later on.

I have done this type of pathfinding on many other occasions. Like the path Isabella takes to her lover's house in the pre-war period (otherwise she gets stuck between rocks).  So I'm going to paint them gold in the castle so everyone will walk home like civilized people. 😛

@JB. I really want to see this mythical defense of the adepts and the main boss, because poor Norita is always dealing with everything herself.

I'm not sure if the translator is translating it correctly.

Adepts = Disciples?

Main Boss = Overboss?

What do you mean by mythological/mythical defense?

I'm not sure if I understood correctly, but do you still have that texture error? That specific error is because you didn't install TRS or Easy Girl (or you have them disabled). Those mods are on my list of recommended mods.

Raiders from the "Adepts" group, led by Nisha, and up to Overbos. They promise that under their protection, no one will touch us. But in reality, they constantly try to hurt us, fuck us, kidnap us, kill us. And everyone in the Commonwealth doesn't give a damn about these people, Nisha, and Overbos.

Nisha is only limited to Nuka World. If you play as Nora, she gets spanked a lot on the butt, in Nuka Town, but Norita doesn't.

The Overboss does protect her, but... if Norita doesn't get into trouble, where's the fun in that? 😛

Yup, I was looking into the mechanics about why my 'Fortresses' that I build in 'Settlement Mode' work so well; And I found that this was the exact reason.

With 'thin walls' the NPC's can somewhat clip into the wall, see the target point, and then teleport past the obstruction. But with stacked foundations, that "trick" doesn't work, so they just get stuck outside.

Example my 'Starlight Fortress':

Yup, gotta love BGS's "It's good enough" syndrome. Where 'it's good enough' can easily result in exploits like I mentioned above in this post.

I was working on Red Rocket that you get making it all nice and porntastical, and it got me wondering; how often do mod updates require a fresh game?

I hope never. I write a lot of self-applied fixes so that I can continue playing my Norita saves from three years ago. 😆My save is at 37 hours. Anyone who has reached the end of the current content would be in the same boat, so all the more reason why all updates should be safe to update.

That's great to hear. It would be kind of a bummer to have put in the work only to have to start over.

But.. But... Starting over and making different choices is half the fun of this mod.

Nora-mally (pun intended), when I reach 'the end of the road', I start a new game and do it all over again in a new way. Making different choices, picking different things to say. That's what truly makes JB's mod better than BGS's vanilla game. If you choose different options, different things happen.

Posted

@JB. While playing through the story of your modification, I sometimes catch myself thinking, “Damn, I want to shoot...” and this story came to my mind.

Norita's Path: "Grandpa teaches us how to use a rifle. We're always in a raider camp, armed with weapons, but there are no battles... so, what if they didn't kill each other because there are activities... what kind?"

A shooting range where raiders compete in marksmanship, a fistfight arena, a shooting range for an influx of various creatures, or perhaps a pack deliberately herds all sorts of creatures for this hunt, creating entertainment.

But how does the heroine get there?! Disguise herself as one of the factions. We go through a shooting gallery and are marked as champions by the faction leader. Then there are fist fights, the faction leader marks us again, and then a hunt, where we kill more foes.

And after the hunt, Overbos wants to reward us and asks us to take off our masks, and then... well, you get the idea. It would be better if it were done in public.

After completing missions, activities will be saved throughout all stages of the game as a mini-game... Each zone could have three stages. 1. We declare ourselves (sign up, shoot, and place third). 2. We become a challenger (we achieve the result and place second). 3. We become a champion (we achieve first place in the activity).

each of these may not necessarily be completed the first time...

Posted

@Дж.Б. For Nora, perhaps these same arenas could become a training camp. After all, she's a smart woman and understands that if you can't stand up for yourself in this world, you're prey.

@JB. At some point, we end up with a large amount of caps... but there's nowhere to spend them, within the context of immersion. I'd like to improve the Dunmer's situation by repaying their kindness, hiring workers, expanding the farm, etc. It would be nice to be able to invest in some of Overboss's projects... improving the house...

@JB. There are actually a lot of similar ideas, but I don't want to interfere with your creative process or force my thoughts on you. That's why I'm providing general information so you have room for creative work.)))
