IE9Pro Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 So bandits, draugr, and most things that would normally be hostile on sight are completely passive, I can punch them all I want and they will sit there without even going hostile. I tried my best to avoid mods that made creatures passive by default but it seems I messed up somewhere. It's also worth mention that some enemies are hostile, sometimes; ex Some wolves are passive (like the ones you meet on your way to riverwood) and some others attack normally, I can't figure out why this is happening and I have tried numerous things. I have sexlab, defeat, beastess, creature framework, creature arousal, more nasty critters, SoS, and horny creatures of skyrim. I think that it may be one of the creature mods but I can't find where any of them say anything about this. Any ideas?
Gukahn Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 Same, it happens suddenly, even uninstalled one with nature, the only mod i have that could have been the problem but no. What i did was just use the console RemoveFromAllFactions on my Pc. Can't say if it breaks anything, didn't come across something game breaking for now other then some player owned items where marked as stolen when i picked them up. (Inigos Cell had a couple of things you could just take without worry for example.) Hope thats the only minor problems the command will cause, if so its a noneperfect solution, but a solution regardless

The PlayerFaction is used by multiple vanilla quests, spells, ... to cause temporary aggression or prevent it. (I think) some calm-spells use it (really not sure though). And sure as hell some mods use it as well.

For example I believe the Thieveguild Achievements (as in crime dialogue specific rewards) require you to be in the guild faction, also if youre not in the guild factions, the guild may not consider you to be a member either Its not just the player faction thats important to fluently run the game
anjenthedog Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 FWIW, I've had that happen via glitch on a few occasions. During a Defeat encounter (presumably) the relations get broken and locked to friendly status (or I think more accurately said, upon reset from the encounter, since it's toggled to friendly during the defeat). It's been a while, but I think the last time I remember it happening, all the "baddies" got toggled to BFF mode (Bandits, wolves... everyone who is normally a badguy). Don't remember if there were any times when I've enountered the glitch (probably a dozen or more times since I started playing) in which only one faction became permafriend BFFs, but as long as I followed that savefile vector, the game's enemies were broken. So I reverted to a save prior to the emergence of the behavior and all was well. if this is a condition you acquired after installing some mod, perhaps it's the mod, idk., but fwiw this is how I've encountered it and how I've solved it. Once badguys don't act like badguys anymore (ie, AS SOON AS), I search for the most recent previous save where they don't.
rjrc Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 i had the same issue, Naked Defeat being the cause. I removed ND, made a clean save, re-installed ND and everything was fine. I think the Defeat mods during rape anims place the player in a temporary faction that is not hostile. If something interrupts the anim you can get stuck in that faction.

For me it can't be Defeat since it happened before any Defeat scenario, the others i don't have. But i have an Idea which of my mods could be the culprit, its one of those "Add friendly animals" to citys and towns mods. Dunno why some Bandits and Necromancers would get friendly with it but it might cause of the faction relations they might have. (at least i don't have all my enemys friendly. Just a few.)
Gukahn Posted June 11, 2021 Posted June 11, 2021 Update: Found the mod that was causing it for me, it was indeed One with Nature, even if wolfs where turned off, some of them would still be friendly and affect some of the human enemys like one variant of the necromancer apprentices. Why? Dunno, its fixed with a clean save, for me at least ?♀️

Sorry your mod combination differs from mine a lot when i had this problem. Does any of these mods calm enemy's or make some of them Allies? That's the very first thing i would check. Another thing we found out is that defeat mods can cause it if their script doesn't end. If you have one combat sex mod try disabling it. If nothing helps.. Might have to bite the bad apple and make a new safe without any enemy mod, then install them one by one and check the same Npc´s until they stop fighting you.

Well I have this problem too but I have a clean save and haven't even activated sexlab and defeat in the mcm but it still happens. It is only the bandits for me atm (Don't know if there is any other enemy that is not hostile) The animals get hostile as they should I have SkyTEST and animals are fine I guess. But the bandits are like fuckin pacifists. I can't really recall any mod that effects adding friendly enemies or something like that. Is there a way to see what mod is affecting bandits?

You could try installing more informative console and see if they are affected by any kind of mod. If you do that i would advice to check their faction specifically. they shouldn't be in any kind of friendly faction to you that's why one with nature bugged them out for me. Some Wolfs are friends with bandits so these bandits will be friends with you- some necros are friends with these bandits so these necros will be friends with you and so on.

You need to know what which mod does in your game so you can troubleshoot it better.

Removing myself from that faction didn't helped anyway, it was just re-added. I am trying to see if I can find anything in SSEdit atm. Edit: I found out NARC is editing bandit faction the last and doesn't forward the changes made by faction fixes vanilla esp which has many reference as enemy on group combat reaction. Can I make a patch for this by myself? Edit 2: Well I've made a patch for Faction Fixes Vanilla mod to work with SkyTEST and Animal Tweaks and it works now! I've made a few changes to forward the necessary records all along my mods and there was a couple for vampires and other stuff.
