The harmful part is, that locked player controls can be a sign of a mod running on a certain stage which then never proceed or ends which can cause issues further down the line.
I improved Naked Defeat so that this will happen less likely, but on complex mods like this there can always be situations unaccounted for (which I m happy to work on :D)
 

Sounds like Deviously Cursed Loot is the most likely culprit. I tried shutting it down, but no change, and disabling the ESP causes a bunch of weird issues with other mods (even though they don't depend on DCL.) So I may just have to start a new file.

I think DCL also has a combat defeat integrated. Maybe check its MCM and investigate the options. 

DCL can also tend to send out DHLP suspend events that are never recalled, preventing mods that listen for it from starting (or working correctly). 
you can check in Naked Defeats MCM. System (page 1). When DHLP suspend is "TRUE" when you are in comabt for example, its most likely that.

I might add a "brute force" option to that, but re-disabling Fast Travel always put a notification in the upper left corner. Maybe I ll find a better workaround on SE.

 

 

Can you disable the debuffs? And can you die from this last mod? 

 i m just starting with this idea, but I finally want to be forced to sleep eat and drink, but also would be happy to die from it, haha. 

With either of the mods I linked, you cannot die.  Use Survival Mode Improved if you want that option.  Be aware that cold will kill simply staying in cold water or taking too long to travel on foot in the cold.  Fast travel is disabled in Survival Mode so moving around in the cold is dangerous.  "Campfire" and the ability to make a fire can help with this.

 

For the mod that I currently use (Immersive Needs), the debuffs cannot be disabled that I can find.  There are some limited options in the MCM related to adding/removing needs from vampires, werewolves, etc.  Immersive Needs is a replacement for any Survival mod and you actually disable Survival Mode when you start your game.  It simply adds the need to eat, sleep, and drink.  The debuffs reduce regeneration %  for your attributes and speech.  I am personally really enjoying having those needs and not worrying about the cold/health/stamina debuffs.  Prefer the regeneration debuffs.

Knocked out -> Entering Bleedout at 0 HP? ---> adjust your game difficulty/combat mods/balance- Naked Defeat has no effect on that at all

Knocked out -> you still have HP left and it says "A hard blow forces you down" or something like that. THis is a critical hit, you can configure the chances for that in "Combat Options" in Naked Defeat MCM.

I have not used DCL for some time but If I remember correctly you can shut down its defeat in the MCM.

I tend to stay away from the needs mods for they do not make adjustments for Werewolves, Vampires, Succubus, Orcs, or my Celestials mod. I wish someone would make the adjustments for that typ of immersion for the various races would be awesome  but I have not seen it happen.

You may consider looking into the Immersive Needs mod.  At least you can option in vampires and werewolves.  This is the MCM.

Thanks looks like a good start. Will have to look into how its defined. I like the way sleepless undeath sounds. Races are not defined and sliding numbers seem a little primitive. But I will look at it.

aaaah, why did nobody ever report the floating chains when "locked in place" with cuffs, armbinder or yoke, haha.  :D
somehow they slipped past the "SE" check and were still applied without having Physics. 

I also noticed a bug that disables player controls in a weird way.

- no more zooming in and out with mousewheel

- no attack possible

 

I can still move and draw a weapon tho. 
This is a bug unknown to me.

 

- Workbench does not fix it

- EPC in console does not fix it
- Enable Player Controls of Naked Defeat does not fix it
 

exit and loading fixes it...

I m investigating a possible cause with my "Screenshot Helper" mod that toggles flycam.
I suspect sexlab is messing that mod up. But not sure...

I think "recycleactor" will fix it, but the fix is not permanent. 

I've also checked for factions and spells and could not find a likely suspect for the cause.

Could be related to bleedout state I think.  Has something to due with blocking or unplayed animations.

Sexlab Scene starts

When Sexlab Scene ends, Sexlab forces into third person breaking ScreenShot helpers Flycam

I had this reliably now. 

I just wonder if this is a problem with other Mods that use FlyCam too. 

 

I notced flycam uses a ConsoleUtil to force Flycam. I will change it scripts and see if that fixes the issue.

If I did not use Flycam at all during Sex or left the Flycam before Sexlab broke, all went well and I had full control after ND finished.

Aaaand I got it.

 

So the issue is:
 

If you use a FlyCam/FreeCamera/ScreenShot type mod during a Sexlab Scene and the mod is using:
ConsoleUtil.ExecuteCommand("TFC") to switch to Free Camera,

Sexlab will use MiscUtil.ToggleFreeCamera() at the end of the scene which causes a bugged camera and partially locked controls.

 

I changed the scripts of said mod and the problem is gone away.

So if you have locked controls, check which Camera Mod you use.

Patch also removes the annoying message spam from the mod.
(NOTE: this patch might break the pause function of the mod. Had not time to dig further into it, should be possible to fix it too).

I'm using SmoothCam (so should you), but that's not a freecam mod, so not really relevant to the problem.
For freecam personally I simply use the build in free cam. Comes with the disadvantage of not being able to see any comments, but I never found a freecam mod that really worked for me.

I occasionally get the known bug where my cam is stuck at a fixed distance in 3rd party view. Usually this happens if I've freecam active while leaving a (ZAP-)furniture (never had it happen with regular furniture, far as I can remember). Entering and leaving again fixes this.

I just like to have the FOV zoom function of free cam mods. its like beeing a porn director and cam operator at the same time, hehe.

works also very nice with DepthOfField of ENBs.

SmoothCam was in the beginners guide but I somehow forgot to install it. Lets see what it can offer :D

Does it have a screenshot function? Still looking for a good screenshot mod, I gave up on LE.... the steam screenshots are just messy ^^

Thank you for your work on this issue.  I recently tried an Ostim mod where I can join an NPC who is engaging in private gratification.  If one of my SL mods kicks while in the Ostim scene, I  have seen the camera lock issue.  May have been random but I have to finish the Ostim scene quickly (hotkey) as SL does not care about the Ostim scene and will start on its own.  Ostim goes into free camera once the scene starts which may be why the bug occurs.  I don't know for sure but thought I would mention it.  I will check a log next time and see if that script is there.  My mod list at work again.  😢 Going to add your fix and test it if I find the command you mentioned.  For Ostim users, listening to 3 or 4 members of the college winterhold in their dorm rooms moaning away is kinda sexy.  Reminds of my old dormroom.  At least now I can approach who I want and offer to "help".

Interesting defeat sequence.  I was defeated at Robbers Gorge.  Serana is my follower.  I forgot to check is Serana was registered with ND as my follower.  While the defeat was processing after I found a spot, the bandits continued to attack Serana.  After the first defeat found no one, the 2nd attempt found Serana.  She was attacked a 2nd time while she was assaulting me.  Actually went into a defeated state.  2nd assault again by Serana even with bandits nearby.  Attached to furniture and whipped.  While trying to wiggle free, the whipper attacked Serana again after the whipping.  Wiggling took a while this time.  2nd whipper showed up for a few swings and when finished, attacked Serana for the 4th time.  I thought there was a Calm spell when in a defeated state so I mentioned this.  I have not selected I can recover from bleedout if my folllower still fights.  

 

If anyone knows why SLACS was throwing so many errors, I would appreciate it. May need to try a different cum mod.

do you use any mods that change Serana?
Also some followers have scripts that can break calm spells and also scenes etc.

Serana and any other follower has to have its name in the MCM Page 1 (system) or Naked Defeat will not recognize them as followers.
The Calm Spell can sometimes not prevent actors of different factions to fight, I have a multilayered cloak, but need a third layer maybe and even that some actor might break.
I had this issue with all Defeat mods ever, so... 

A brutal way to end this is "TCAI" in console but its dangerous and can break other stuff sadly. 
Had no time to check new SKSE mods for new tools for that stuff :P

PATCH NOTES 5.1 Patch

 

Requires 5.00 FULL

If updating from 5.00, no FNIS rerun required and no new game

 

IMPORTANT: now requires Power of Three Papyrs Script extender (everybody should have it anyway I guess).

 

- fixed some Log Spam when not using followers...
- fixed some Log Spam in general (weird one, never had that on LE but on SE. Well...)

MCM Crawl Settings:
- finally found a bug that maybe prevented some MCM settings considering crawling to not apply correctly as some reports suggested

- I fixed the bug and then mixed the old ESP and the new... so I reintroduced it. Now its fixed. Again :D

- I think I found the issue that sometimes ignored “Defeat(OnStrip) 0%” and fixed it.

 

Follower Selection
- Serana should now be detected automatically as Follower when you are close to her (below 500 units) when using “Debug Wheel: Update Followers”) 

 

Escape Game “Floating Chains”
- Fixed a bug that equipped the HDT chains on SE Version (floating chain parts)

 

Outfit Saving
Outfits now correctly save ESP and ESL files in the external JSON so you can now truly use them between profiles (note: Bashed Patches and similar might still interfere).

Bathing in Skyrim Renewed
- if you dont have Bathing in Skyrim (old or new) installed, no bathing will take place
- Fixed a Bug where Naked Defeat did not register the correct bathing mod installed (Forced Bathing did not clean the PC)
---> next update of Bathing Renewed will correctly reduce dirt to 0% when using Naked Defeats Bathing via Action Wheel or Forced Bathing

Opinions please.  Nymra suggests adding many SLAL packs.  I've read that there should not be more than 500 active animations in Sexlab anim loader in the human category and 500 in the creature category.  Is is OK to go over the 500?  I am over it a little in one of the categories and have never had an issue but thought I would ask.  I restricted them to anims I actually liked based on the quality and quantity.  Billys and Anubs.  I also disabled the anims included with the base Sexlab.  If ND needs the variety, I can add them but wanted to check first.  *don't like having to scroll through so many to pick one I wanted so never asked this before.

I am running with more than 1000 anim for humans and 1000 for creatures with no problems beside a bit of lag when searching for animations.

I recommend using SL utility plus from 

and using Pandora Behaviour Engine Plus instead of FNIS and Nemesis.

After using Sexlab 166b for some days now I can say:

Dont :(
Its basically the same since 1.62....

standard animations are ALWAYS in the selection, randomness does not exist, actors redress too early, etc. etc.

 

I m trying with SLU+ next. had problems with SLU 2024 on LE, but maybe that was an LE problem really (sad enough), it was one of the reasons to finally give up on LE.
I am also studying SLP+ and its possiblities and also prepare for a switch in the future, since the dev team is open for suggestions. 

 

I run 1000 anims humans and 1000 creatures with almost all SLALs installed now. I disabled alot of anims too, but mostly stuff I dont use at all.

its really not necesary to butcher anything to as low as 500/500.

 

 

CRAWL ANIMATIONS - Forgotten note about 5.1 Update

 

Naked Defeat is now requiring OAR/DAR for Crawl Anims to work as of 5.1 Version.

I ditched the FNIS stuff alltogether.

 

This folder is ready as is, report any problems.

Naked Defeat - EXTRA - OAR Crawl Animations.7z

First report:  I am at Castle Volkihar.  I loaded the new version and the new crawl OAR.  I did not run FNIS.  I crashed in combat swinging a sword.  3-4 swings only in one engagement.  I re-ran FNIS and Nemesis and did not crash during multiple sword combats on the restart.  Just an FYI as removing the crawl might have been involved.  I checked the crash log but it was a mess unlike normal where it provides good suggestions for what caused it.

 

Defeat:  I was defeated in the castle when you meet the feral vampire.  I do not have it set so my follower can save me.  I was in a defeated state for a good while and Serana fought on.  I had no control and nothing happened until Serana was downed.  Once she went down, the notice to find a spot appeared.  Deathhound jumped in from aroused creatures before I could find a spot with the hotkey.  Finished that quickly as I had it on timer to find a spot and had to hurry.  ND started before I hit the hotkey though.  No defeat occurred for me or Serana.  Several fade in and out.  Some notices but can't remember.  Camera locked in 1st person when attached to furniture.  Hotkeyed to free cam ok.  No whipping occurred even though zombie and vampire within range.  Wiggled free and immediately stood up and ran away.  No crawl after wiggling free.  Serana stayed in the downed state for around 20 seconds and then ran towards me.  Appears they aggroed on her release as they were chasing her as she ran to rejoin me.

If your crashlogs usually give you a good lead what caused the crash, your modlist is insufficiently large/complicated. ;)
