My opinion: Use the mod list linked below for the latest version of AE. I have shown it before. The list works. Use the latest version of AE. It is stable and most mods are able to use it even Sexlab. It comes with all the creation club some of which is junk. The modlist explains how to pick and choose. I have a small percentage of creation club in my game as I don't want some of them which are a waste of time and effort or simply clutter your journal. If you want ultra fancy combat engines, may consider SE 1.5.597 but there seems to be enough combat upgrades with the latest combat engine that is replacing MCO. I'd suggest staying with AE. Most modders I know have upgraded. Once you get latest AE version loaded, lock it so Steam cannot upgrade it. There is a video to show how. You lock it from your computer as well as Steam. Not possible to ruin your modlist that way in case of an upgrade. The world of mods will now open for you. Even Sexlab has a list that works with the latest AE version so before you do anything, check that list to make sure it has what you want. I've added mods beyond that list with no real problems. The modlist linked below is for a complete game overhaul with upgraded graphics for most everything in the game. Flowers, grass, trees, armor, people, etc. The physics available using FSMP are simply irreplaceable. My breasts move like they do in real life and really creates an immersive sexual experience in game. Do you need all of the texture/graphics upgrades? You don't. It all depends on what your graphics card and computer can handle. I have 4K plus on everything. I simply want a beautiful world, beautiful people, sexy mods, and good combat. I've said here before, ND is essential. A must have for me. I won't play without it. Likewise I will not play without a beautiful world with realistic weather, lighting that looks real, and sex that drives me insane. Some additional comments: I locked my game to 1.6.640. The most stable AE version prior to the most recent Skyrim upgrades. I don't think you are missing much from going with the latest. The wind blows my hair realistically and it is one mod I have not found works for 1170. I have long hair and it's simply more immersive for me. My roommate Tina gifted me her 1.6.640 mod list on a portable drive or I would more than likely have upgraded. You are an extremely knowledgeable person. More than most from what I can tell. With that in mind, take your time loading the modlist. It is very lengthy and will take a while. Get it working as is. Then begin adding to it. What Tina said she did and what I have continued to do. At any time, I can share the additional mods I use or even my mod list. It is geared for a stable, long term playthrough with loving relationships with several of my favorite NPCs. The realism in dialogue, human interactions, and interacting with the world are something you will not be able to go back from. I walk through the tall grass, it reacts to me. I see the trees move with the wind. See the impact of receiving and giving weapon strikes. Wish you the best. EDIT: 2566 mods 1855 plugins. The freedom from the plugin limit is amazing. EDIT: Oh, and what the hell is AE light? Specific Questions: A players perspective - Start from ZERO: No better way IMO to learn how to use a large mod list. And your modlist will increase quite a bit. SE/AE - There is little difference from AE and SE with the currently available mods. Whatever you choose, lock the game and no worries about upgrades. Modders I have seen discuss this say there is no difference between SE and AE. AE is simply the addition of the Creation Club mods. You only have to include 4 of these to be on the latest game version. I add a few more. The reason for the later AE changes were to add a different way to buy additional creation club junk. I don't think it will have any impact on your game to upgrade to the latest. SE/AE - Loverslab mods. I have not seen a difference. SKSE/PO3/etc. make the difference and all are available for the latest game version. Never heard of AE light. AE without the creation club additions perhaps. NO matter, the linked mod list explains how to pick and choose what you want and makes this irrelevant. Some of the Creation Club AE quest add-ons are actually pretty good. You say what you don't want regarding the camera, body mods, etc. Ok. Use the mod list but skip those sections. I'm guessing you would like the body and combat mods from the list or at least be able to see what is there and then replace and/or add on. The ultra fancy combat mods are not on the list. Simply improved weapon moves. Very stable. FNIS/Nemesis/Pandora - I use FNIS/Nemesis together. I have never had a problem. The modlist uses Pandora which is heavily supported. I have not found a reason to change to Pandora. For every concern there is a pro and con but I don't see a bad choice. They are simply choices. Finally, as accomplished of a creator as you are, you need to get on Discord and get to know the modders on this site. Modharbour Discord. There so many. Migal is the site owner. He made BBLS. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/95197 (Direct link to his discord is at the bottom of this modpage.) You need to be hooked into them. They are the cream of Skyrim modders right now. Biased opinion of course but I believe it. Armors, quests, texture upgrades, NPC replacers, followers, Dialogue mods, on an on. Many prefer OSTIM but most use both like I do. My guess that they have no idea what you have done with ND. EDIT: If you want a group willing to test a mod, the thousands of regular players on Migal's discord will volunteer. Seen it before once you get to know them. I'm speaking for Migal in a way but at least worth asking a few questions based on ND being a defeat mod. Look at the list of modders on his site with their own links. I think you will be surprised the variaety of sexy and non-sexy mods represented there. Also, they will know about moving to AE from LE. That I do know. I'm always apologizing but please forgive me if I have mispoken. I'm a pencil and paper player talking on a forum that has highly knowledgeable computer and programming geniuses. Just wanted to help. I should just log out of Reallife for some time lol I have spoken with many users that tried premade modlists. If you don't want to add anything AT ALL, I think there are a few that worked. None that I have ever heard allow customization to the degree you may prefer. Nemesis is required for many animation mods and will be listed with the mods. This is why I use the combinations. Historically, Nemesis cannot do creatures so you combine with FNIS to get the best of both worlds. I know users that have moved on to Pandora but some find a few mods that it will not work with. I use the combination and it is really not an issue. You setup FNIS like you probably already do. Run it like normal and it will create an output. You then run Nemesis separately as a tool in in MO2. It will also create an output but include the FNIS output within it. There are patches within Nemesis when you open it and you simply select those patches. Nemesis is more picky and may require an attempt or two to get it to create the output. Always works for me. Or you could simply use Pandora. It should work for the animations you are currently using. Tina set this modlist up and it's what I will use until it stops working. Setting up the SKSE/script mods takes a bit. If you start with the latest version of the game it should be easier. It is almost plug and play at this point. My roommate told me it required a few tweaks within some of the SKSE mods. She did all the work so I can only share what settings she used if it comes to that. Sharing a few screenshots: FNIS/Nemesis, Nemesis Engine showing the patches, SKSE section of my mod list. One week to load everything and test after each section to make sure the game starts. Crash logger mod is amazing to identify if you have an issue. Then one week to tweak/add/remove. If you don't want to bother adding something, skip it. That is the beauty of that mod list. I skip extra creatures, some graphics enhancements, etc. Prefer to find my own. If you are like me, I'm always making changes. Normally not after level 15 or so. Decide to play for a while then. Save the changes till the next restart. Also, I use Seasons as well. I get all 4 different seasons throughout Skyrim and Solsteim. It is really amazing but hard to get set up right. Tall grass all the way to Dimhollow Crypt to pick up Serana in the summer. Snow in Riften and Whiterun will really surprise you. Sometimes I lock my game to Summer all the time or reset it to summer whenever I get to Winter. So many options. I have a mod that I can instantly change the weather. Cloudy or a Snowstorm, use the mod and make it clear skies. SE/AE is really great right now. Edited March 13, 2025 by TFor2

Season changes are indeed very interesting. I used Skyrim Spring Mod forever now cause the snow got boring, but dynamic changes sound awesome. I have a different issue with the body mod. For years im using BHUNP from BAKA, but I m very unhappy with most armors not beeing compatible. When my body armor is missing (naked upper body), the leg physics always clip with boots and armor parts... I already have some oppinions about it, but could need more.... Which Body mod to use best I prefer - realistic physics over anime jiggle - medium to smaller boobs and even A cups that still look good (had no sucess with that with BHUNP at all...) - ofc the collision vagina but that seems mandatory now - most compatible skeleton (for ZAP/Sex animas). UNP based for example do not match the ZAP furnitures (the furnitures are all a bit lower, so the body sometimes floats some inches).

I cannot know LE as I've never played it but there is so much adjustment with SE to get what you prefer.

I know your frustration I have a lot of older environmental mods and older enb so will have to redo my list for the newer better looking mods. Mine are a mixture of 2k 4k and lower environmental mods that look good but not as good as the stuff on the Skyrim for beginners mod list. NCK30 is an animator and he has posted pictures on his post of his latest foray into that list and the pictures are amazing. It just takes a really high end computer to get all the bells and whistles. Pandora registers converts all the animations in a mater of seconds. The latest version is missing the conversion for a few of the dog animations. The version prior to the latest does those animations that are missing. I use the latest because a few dog animations not rendering are not going to effect my game and I can skip through them. The advantage of Pandora is the speed in which it does everything. The Nemesis FNIS combe is slower and Nemeses does not do creatures so you have to combine it with FNIS which adds quite a few layers to the setup process.

Now over 800 mods. Took me 8-10 weeks of installing/testing. Now just making corrections as I go. My Content at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community But the end result is a game that is 10 times as pretty as my LE install. Truly Next-Gen. My advise. Get at least a RTX 4080 if You intend to play at 4K, which I recommend highly. My Alienware AW3225qf 4K monitor helps too. Edited March 13, 2025 by NCK30

However, when testing out sex scenes like via matchmaker and via Sexlab tools as well, i can load whatever animation. I also unticked the Sexlab "filter restrictive anims".

All Animations played by Naked Defeat are heavily filtered for tags when doing Scenarios (Yoke, Pillory, Armbinder etc.) When not using a scenario there are some basic filters applied that you can see in the Papyrus.0.log none of this should in any way affect animations started by other mods. Note that Sexlab and Sexlab Tools is heavily flawed by how many animations are used in a scene. Basically without scripted filters its hard to really get all the available animations like ever. Dunno how SexlabP+ handles that,...

I'm guessing for Tag n, i can just type multiple custom tags I want like "Billy, Anubs, etc." ? comma separated + space.

The only thing that works right now is the SMP Boob physics. There are only endless useless text guides with no real info inside.... sigh.

I dropped P+, hard not to agree with it needing workarounds for SLAL. Still can't seem to force NaDe to appear in MCM though. I'll start yanking mods until something moves

Pandora is the next level generator - runs in 2 seconds and I didn't see any problems (NEFARAM) Lists also use Synthesis for auto-patching mods and usually have custom patches included Btw I played LE long time ago with NMM and then SLMP auto-installer also

I m now building the Sexlab Stuff and see if P+ implodes directly or not. My goal is still to make it work, but oh boy.... why do modern mods just love fixing ONE problem by creating TEN new issues. Can you please go play Oblivion with Player Slave Encounters (PSE) and maby LoversRapers, and explain to me why every single Skyrim defeat/enslavement mod is completely out classed by Oblivion's only slave mod which hasn't had an update since 2018? Also, Defeat is the most complex thing in Skyrim, because Sex mods think nobody plays Skyrim Quests anymore and Combat Mods think nobody uses Sex mods. I also did all this shit with zero modding, scripting or programming experience, building and learning it from zero while trying to battle the toxic shit that is a skyrim modding environment. Also, Defeat is the most complex thing in Skyrim, because Sex mods think nobody plays Skyrim Quests anymore and Combat Mods think nobody uses Sex mods. I also did all this shit with zero modding, scripting or programming experience, building and learning it from zero while trying to battle the toxic shit that is a skyrim modding environment. Now you. Everything takes forever on your mod, im not trying to be hurtful. But if its taking forever its taking forever. Just what it is. Why is there nothing for Skyrim that is as good as PSE? PSE doesn't just out class your mod, it out classes SD, Defeat, all the stuff that has Archeon and your money or your life, Peril, Submit!
