Try to press the surrender key once when out of combat (K per default), this should fix it. (while technically I also installed a fix for it solving itself automatically, hmm. when in doubt, please try to disable and enable the mod and/or when this does not suffice reinstall it on a clean save (while both steps should not be necessary, hmm)
Someone92 Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Noticed that if you have no available anims the public rape feature breaks. I was put into handcuffs, and after finding no anim the PC stayed in cuffs and the public rape function did not run anymore.

Connovar Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Ok now it seems working....I think in some way paradise halls was interfering..I didn't change anything but a clean save switching way phae and it start working..( damnit..in the midle of the fight a whiterun guard decided to punish me whipping... and that got myself defeated,,,?...) 1

I am might add conditions that prevent public rape, like when the PC is in combat. Drawing a weapon might also interrupt the attempt, allowing the player to fight their way out. But that is for future updates. 1

For now I managed to escape a few times by running away as fast as I could. It would seem that having a dagger on my hip does not register as 'being armed'. I'll try heavier weaponry next time.

I'll try heavier weaponry next time. running away will not help you when you pass close to a guard and the 10 sec tick is at that point, you cannot outrun punishment. funny enough, when you run your exposure is increasing even faster since running and sprinting also increases it. I just checked the code and the dagger should register. Did the mod say "Seems like you are unable to protect yourself without a weapon. Let me take care of you"? Beeing armed is not protecting you from exposure, but beeing UNARMED is increasing the exposure even faster so when you are clean, no cum, no dirty, clothed AND armed, you still get exposure for running or sprinting for example. You have to behave perfectly to keep exposure low or zero.

It did specifically mention this line, yes. Twice now I've been assaulted with this line while actually carrying a dagger on me and being on my absolute best behavior. It might possibly be because of the way the VRIK (VR player avatar) mod that I'm using 'registers' weapons (you can carry many at once on your body, in different slots). But I can happily report that the punishments for bad behavior seem to be working fine for me. I got 'corrected' pretty fast for both sprinting and being naked. I love that whistle sound; it really makes you realize you just goofed. 1
astor Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Do spells count as equipped weapons? As a mage, i don't typically carry weapons (why have the extra weight when i can just summon what i need?). Also, that whistle is incredibly loud and jarring, makes my tinnitus hate me even more.

Newest version of the beta, official versions don't have public rape yet, do they? I could still move somewhat, pressing left and right instead moved the PC forward / backward and through some objects. edit2: And yeah, no exposure notifications popped up anymore, so without anims it seems to completely break. Have reinstalled all my mods and tried to get it working properly, so the log file of that test was messy. Redid the test. Animation played this time, but after whipping I just broke free automatically. One of the red messages seems to be missing some text, or not showing it all. "You feel a uneasy" (uneasy what?) Also, shouldn't it be an uneasy? edit: Oh, and a suggestion I totally forgot to mention the first time: What about slightly different rules for guards and citizen? E.g. a guard doesn't like if you have weapons equipped (or even drawn), while citizen are scared of the PC when they have a weapon equipped, and afraid when drawn. Never experienced anything like that nor do I have anything in the scripts that I could think of leading to that behaviour. Sometimes the camera can break in a very weird way, maybe you experienced that? There are several types of camera breaking tho... One of them is not recoverable (your cam angle stays the same and you cannot rotate anymore, but when you move your character moves, but the camera does not shift with him). But when you are able to move through objects... well.... Worst case might be that some other mod is interfering in an unusual way. To find out which mod you would have to unintall them step by bulk. I see the captivequest started, but also it seems you did not press the debug key... hmm. at least the quest terminated itself in a proper way at least as far as the log goes... so everything after that should have worked normally. You lack the RapeTattoos and FadeTattoos soft requirement btw. I am working on more parameters on how exposure behaves, yes. I plan on making weapon drawn a deterent against beeing raped, but maybe lead to the guards attacking you instead. Just not sure how to pull that off yet.

In fact I do not plan to add any feature centered around NPC vs NPC behaviour at all at this point. Only followers will be integrated bit by bit.

They are invisible in all other cases So I guess mages have to get creative a bit. Or just wear a dagger to appear protected. I searchend and picked the most annoying whistle I could find, haha! The script is using a vanilla function to check for weapons, so it might as well be that this function just checks for regular equiped items. It looks in your left and right hand tho, so if the dagger has a "L" or "R" displayed next to it in the inventory/SkyUI favourites menu it should technically still be recognized. But what do I know.. .hmm. When I find the time I will test with different weapons, maybe something else is not working right.

Yeah, that's probably the issue. In VRIK you just put your weapon somewhere on your body (shoulder, back, wrist, etc), which doesn't set it to "L" or "R" in the inventory. I think VRIK is pretty script heavy with how it stores and recalls weapons in this way, so I don't think there'd be an easy way to prevent me from getting constantly unfairly molested besides me turning the entire public R&P option off, sadly.

I had this happening once, but never was able to reproduce this issue. Might be script lag messing things up, but I see if I can find the circumstances that lead to this. please see if you have this behaviour all the time or if this was only occuring in a special situation. the log shows me the script part where it happens so I will also try to reproduce this.

If this happens the mod thinks the defeat quest is still running while in fact its not. try to press the debug hotkey (K by default) once, to see if that fixes it. if not, I will see if I can add even more debug functionality to the hotkey in a quick fix.
