SidoRaven Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 I did a bit of research and found that what changed the names of the striker corpses was a mod to prevent save data from becoming bloated (Possessive Corpses no more lazy zombies and shy nirnroots, etc.). However, removing this and starting a new game did not improve the situation, so this does not seem to be the cause.

unmog Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 (edited) MCM wont show up, tried using setstage ski_configmanagerinstance 1 and it still wouldnt show up. I saw this used to be a bug but was supposedly fixed. Any tips or hints on what to do? Tried to start a new game and it didnt show up either... would prefer to keep my current save tho. Maybe I am just blind? Can someone take a screen shot of the menu? I didnt see anything with Striker or Devious Strike or anything in it tho... but there wasnt a picture of the MCM on the download page so I cant be 100 on it. *has 34 MCMenus apparently*  Sorry if Im missing something obvious, and thanks for any help. Edit= Uhm, I suddenly got the devious strike menu to show up, 35 menus. I installed a new mod, Devious Interests, and now I cant get that ones mod menu to show up instead. LinksSword Posted June 24, 2025 Posted June 24, 2025 If you set the gender option to "Random" the restrain devious weapon wielders will no longer work, they will still spawn without wearing DD devices, Setting to Male or Female works however, Only Devious Strikers spawning works with "Random" option on for some reason.Â

And alongside some Background info on why i made that decision. New State of Devious Strike I will no longer be developing this mod any time soon. That's why this mod will be up for adoption as of now! i would be happy if one of you is eager enough to keep this project going. The mod is open source already, which means you can take whatever you want from the mod and use it on the new version as a base (or start comepletly from scratch, whatever you think is better). Please name it something like "Devious Strike+" or "Devious Strike Continued" or whatever name you find most fitting (these are just common names for such cases which are often used in similar scenarios). You can also call it something comepletly different if you wish :). If you have any questions you can always DM me or ask in this forum and will try to answer as soon as possible. The only requirement i demand of you would be this: mention the origional mod + creator (that's me) and provide a link to this mod's page. i will leave the page here on LoversLab as is. (this was not an easy decision btw, but i hope the right one) TLDR: mod is up for adoption, if you are interested you need to read the section ;).  Why? where comes a little story about me: Skyrim modding was one of the first times in my life that i wrote code. It made so much fun that i wanted this to be a big part of my future. Which is why i decided to enroll in a University where i learned how to Program games. This was one of the reasons that i have had less time to focus on a hobby like skyrim modding. There were other factors that also reduced the time i could develop this or other mods (work, friends, family, etc.) you probably know it yourselfs. Though every now and then i felt the spark again to get back into skyrim modding, since it is just so much fun for me. But i never got anywhere with the small time i had. My next and last Semester will be even more stressful than the previous ones. This and the fact that you guys keep on writing such nice and motivating comments, saying how much you like this mod and giving amazing new ideas and additions for it, Is the reason for my decision. i do not want to keep this mod locked up in here any longer, it would be unfair and i think you will be happy too when the mod gets some updates already. TLDR: sadly not enough time to keep spamming updates like in the earlier days.  What now? i am not anywhere near done with skyrim modding. I recently watched some tutorials on how to setup SKSE native plugin modding environment (the mods which come with .dll files). These are capable of so much more than papyrus scripting. I have some cool new ideas for new mods that i may develop with the little time i have. I also already know how to program c/c++ (required for SKSE native plugins) since one of my uni courses requires me to develop a whole ass game + engine with c/c++. TLDR: i am still eager to develop new mods with my new found experience in game development.  Another reason! While time is the main problem that keeps me from updating the mod, there is also another one. I do not like the way how devious devices affect the gameplay loop of skyrim. While DDs are nice to look at and i like the kink, gameplay wise they are no fun, e.g. boots slow, hobble dress slows, armbinder forbids fighting, body restraints remove armor, etc. This mod is a rather aggressive approach to worsening the problem. It can quickly lock you up in a whole set fo devices after just one measly fight. Being wrapped in DDs disrupts the main gameplay loop and forces you into a new gameplay loop, which most of the time is only fun for but the short moment when it happens. Afterwards it takes so much more time to struggle out of all DDs that in the meantime some other mods kick in and punish you for wearing DDs, which again makes it more annoying. So to sum it up: you failed a fight -> get punished with DDs; you wear DDs -> get punish for wearing them; and so on. After all i still play with DD mods, but changed their settings so that i can get rid of DDs rather quickly and that they are not really punishing/annoying anymore. Though i have removed the mod Devious Strike from my Load order, as the mod is just made for constantly putting new DDs on the player. if you guys are interested in an in depth discussion about DDs and why they can be annoying, i may start a new forum for this. This topic is bugging me for a while now, and i just can't get over it x) TLDR: i find DDs annoying lol.   Sorry for the Star-Wars intro sized text wall. i hope this decision suits you guys well and i wish for a bright future of this mod. It took me quite a while to set-up a enjoyable game with DD and your mod was one of the basics.

Thank you guys for motivating me to start a career as game developer (crazy to think that my future was decided by my love for kinky skyrim mods). anyhow i will be hearing you guys somewhere here in loverslab anyway ^^ Thanks for the update, even though you stated you don't like the loop your mod puts, out of all DD mods, yours was my most fav one, it felt right that I wasn't the only one in the world wearing kinky bondage, it added immersion, it felt spicy to combat bandits, avoiding getting hit as much as possible out of the possible bad consequences, and sometimes I left myself being defeated on purpose because I loved those consequences. Hopefully somebody picks it up, like you stated there's still a lot that can be cooked with this mod: * More kinky types of design, like those on DD equip. * Dolled up sex defeat with the devious enemies. * Other types of defeat (hypnosis, slavery, petplay, etc). * Bandit friendliness if you wear "X" amount of bondage (they think you're one of them). * New kinky enemies or weapons to face. 1

Starting this project i never thought this could become somebodys favorite.  Also do not think that this will be last time you hear from me. i am already working out a new and very simple/small mod idea about Quality of Life changes for DD framework. (related to the problem i stated) But as i said: time is everything, so we will see when something new might drop.  I wish i had the time to fully work out this mod, because as you already recognized, there is so much potential for this mod. 9
