Hello, first of all thank you for this mod. I've been enjoying it alot!

I have a question though, what are the mods for the compatibility patches? I know enhanced storage. Is MPI = More planetary info? SIP = Spawnable item pack? as for mimic chest, i can't figure out what mod that is

i hear problem with quest to rescue mr.cook and i dont geat s.a.i.l. teleport to location i play using Frackin' Universe if that help

You need to change your SAIL. ship computer to the basic game one, follow this easy instruction in game:

1) while in your SAIL computer -> click on [MISC.] tab

2) scroll down the list and click on "Vanilla SAIL"

3) It should now show the base game SAIL and go to MISSION to find Mr. Coock!

I changed the frontpage and added the mod names for those, the mimic is a partial sexbound compatibility, the whole thing was done by @red3dred but it will only work for "male" "mimic" enemies + you need a way to turn it into a sexbound node like the ero's bow or something

Okay, so I've finally been able to look at some of the new stuff (not all of it though), and it looks really promising!

Positives!

- I like the new traps, and the new buildings. makes exploration even more interesting.

- The missions are also fun, with some hillarious twists.

Spoiler

The Chef being a tentacle in a hat was a surprise I did not see coming honestly XD

- the challenge door mission is also interesting. Are there only one variant currently? If not it seems like the one in the new quest room only leads to the same challenge. Will there be tentacle challenge doors out in the wilds too, leading to other challenges?

- I found a tentacle planet and it also looks amazing! Absolutely PEPPERED with sexy structures! (I also got lucky and found the penis biome! Looks really good, very... Inspiring! ;) I'm definitely going to try to make some more sprites soon, to add some more variety to the male wall decorations!)

- The new furniture also looks really good.

-A LOT of new structures! I definitely haven't found all of them, but I will!

Suggested Improvements...

- The door trap animation can be a bit janky on occasion. Could just be lag though.

- Speaking of doors, the male version of the clogged membrane door isn't... a door? It cannot be interacted with, cannot be opened with wiring and does not stop the player when passing by it. It's like it's just a background sprite, I tried to pick it up and put it back down again but nothing changed, so it's not lag this time.

- The challenge door were a lot of fun, could use more variety though (if there is only one currently, and again it would also be fun to find them in the wild!)

- The new furniture have the same female moaning sounds as the tentacle beds, making them a bit jarring when using them with a male character... (I get why that is though and it's fine)

- MASSIVE lag on the circus mission! The slowdown was insane, and only got better after getting to the tentacle temple part. Something on the surface is messing with the framerate something wicked!

- There should be more traps used inside of the missions too. I was surprised there weren't any at all, that I could see anyway.

- Sometimes the tentacles on some of the decorations disappear leaving the victim just humping the air. No idea why either, it just seem to happen randomly.

-Also, sometimes when placing wall decorations the sprite shows up several squares to the side. Again, no Idea how or why, it just happens randomly.

So that's my first impressions of the update! :D I haven't played that long though so I probably have missed a lot, but I'll find it eventually! Good luck!

Glad you liked what it was! I came up with the idea thinking it was going to be silly and funny, as well charming. Surely didn't expect someone to comment on their design, so I'm happy to see someone doing so.

The Clogged Door Trap was Onion's first crack at coding a trap asset. He had set a dead-line for himself to release the update till the end of May, so the trap wasn't fully fleshed out, being left at a "acceptable" state. I remember the video he sent me, a few positions off by a bit, some small "teleports", etc; Onion plans on improving it eventually.

Delved into the code and noticed something....the male version of the asset seems to not have the script "/objects/wired/door/door.lua", which the female version has. It does have a different script, that being "/scripts/ttpp/victim_generarot__for_doors.lua", but it probably doesn't code a door. Maybe the door is fixed by simply adding the missing script, or perhaps not? I can't test it right now, but maybe Onion can also take a look later, as well as you, if you manage to change the code.

For what I recall looking into the code, there should be many challenge rooms; The mod files says around 15....so you have been only getting one of them repeatedly?
I believe Onion also stated they should have a 50/50 chance to spawn naturally where standard challenge doors would spawn.

Perhaps something inside the logs gives us a clue? May you give examples of assets that suffered from both of these issues?
Onion might have more of a clue, but at least if you tell what assets had such problems, we can look into it.

Do the files from "SxB_-_MimicChest_Support" go into the mod folder aswell?

99.99% sure yes. Patches / stuff like this usually doesn't go into already existing files, just place it on the mods folder.

For some reason, whenever my character steps into a trap they go into the sitting animation, rather than the intended one. Does anyone know the reason for this? Thanks in advance

please provide a log so we can pinpoint the issue, does it happen to any trap or did you only test one? did it happen before patch2.7 or only after?

No, no, no, please do not be sorry for expressing your wishes and needs. You made a request and the TTPP team offered an implementation of that request. Some users are happy with that, some are not. Now onionknighto has offered a solution that will make everyone content. In my opinion that was a great and exemplary process of how to deal with feedback.

I would actually see branching a male content focused patch for TTPP as an opportunity, because updating such a supplementary mod should prove to be easy for now.

onionknighto, thank you for your response. I personally would like to see a separate patch-file. If that is not too much extra work, that is.

Sorry, here you go. It did happen before the patch, but then it only happened if I interacted with specific things from other mods. Now it happens whether I do or not, even after I uninstalled the mod that had those objects and reset my characters, config, and universe. And I did test with 3 different traps, and it happens with all of them

It seems that you have already tested it extensively but one last thing you could test is if it works with only TTPP2.7 base as your single mod.

If the error persists it's definitely our fault (no clue how to fix it from a glance at your log, though) if it does work this indicates a compatibility issue with another mod you use.

well, I ran around to many new places that appeared in the new update and now I would like to express one wish for further development)

While running around the tentacle planets, I found the ruins of a police station with a rusty peacekeepers emblem. To be honest, I was very glad to see this, because I practically did not find mods that would somehow develop peacekeepers. I understand that their quest line may not be the most pleasant to complete, but nevertheless, the peacekeepers are a fairly large chapter in the overall history of Starbound. I would be very glad if you continue to pay attention to this group (for example, make an anomaly in space from one of their stations, where an infection began from a warehouse with evidence). this will really be very cool))

and so, continuing the topic of reports on the use of the mod. Everything works very well for me now (and this is provided that my PC is quite weak). The only thing is that new stars and planets sometimes take a long time to load (stars appear on the star map with a decent delay, and when you fly to a planet by ship, this journey can take several minutes), but my weak PC is most likely to blame. I'm happy with everything else ^w^

Alright, I have split the male victim content and the penis biome from the main mod.

If you don't like the new male content, please re-download and replace the TTPP2.7 file and you will find it removed.

The others can either KEEP their current version. For the future we will use the male victim content patch "ManlyTTPP" (linked to the frontpage)

Again, if you already have male content in the mod and you like it then there is no reason to change or add any files! For now the Manly patch only includes the content that the original 2.7 update had and nothing more.

I hope this makes everyone happy and let me wish you a happy masturbation!

Even with the MPI patch It just keeps stopping, I can exit the navigation screen still but I can't pull up the info on any planets other than the Tentacle ones and some moons, am I doing something wrong?

I double checked this and confirmed it working with other users. Could you provide a log and detailed explanation which files you are using? Something you can try on your own: Redownload the ttpp2.7 and the mpi patch and replace them as we have done some changes to them in the past days.

I think replacing them fixed it? The navigation is working again at the very least

I was going to Explore what I believe to be a tentacle planet when the game crashed. So, I decided to explore the log files instead to see what they could elucidate. From what I can tell the world tries to spawn a mushroom village before crashing due to accessing a memory address it shouldn't. Just in case the log file is insufficient I will provide some background.

I found a tier 5 star system with a jungle planet, finding this unusual I assumed it was related to the TTPP mod. So I go in trying to land on a random planet to test things out (not the tentacle one) only to end up in the ship against my free will. I diagnosed that problem as occuring from the patchers that I downloaded. The mimic patcher was causing my game to soft lock at the screen before the chucklefish intro. Chalking it up to an outdated sexbound, I removed it for later. Then I diagnosed the second dilemma to Enhanced storage patch (the one that was kicking me to the player ship at random intervals whilst on planets)

This one happens when I travel to the planet from the navigation menu. The crash occurs right when my green little ship enters orbit with the 'jungle' planet. I don't know if the new planets are supposed to show up as jungle planets but I wrote it off as a limited assets kind of thing. Reviewing the log I found some 'carbon' files (assets maybe) weren't loading. Thinking this to be from not installing more planetary info I decided to install that mod to no avail. I also installed the patcher for it when I noticed there was no icon showing up in the menu for a tentacle dungeon. The icon is still a yellow Dorito with exclamation point. The planet in question is orbiting a gas giant if that information is of any use. I don't know what it could be but hopefully you will be able to decipher someting?

Try to re-download and replace the TTPP2.7 file any any patches you want to use. The patches are not all done by me so use them with caution.

There is also a well known issue of old-world data, meaning that even if you install new /fixed mods some issues will persist in areas that have been spawned with the previous faulty mods or without those needed mods. So you might want to reset your universe or go to the edges and load new planets after you have re-downloaded and replaced the ttpp files.

That said, you main issue is not from TTPP it seems.

"Placing dungeon itsb_littlemushroomvillage"  <--- this causes the big error and its not a TTPP dungeon, must be from another mod.

The "carbon" files you mentioned are also not from TTPP.

Thanks for the info, the mod that was causing the problem came from the steam workshop called Little People (it's supposed to add more specialized generation for gnomes around the universe). It seems to not be working correctly so I uninstalled it, the crash went away but I can't land on that planet and probably won't ever be able to. I followed your advice and went to another part of the universe and found an actual tentacle planet. From my tests that seems to be working fine and the MPI addon is as well so theres some good news. If I had paid closer attention to the little at the beginning of "littlemushroomvillage" then I would have picked up on this much faster, Thank you!

I swear every time i try to package the Mimic Support for Sexbound, something goes wrong. I totally take blame and apologize to the Tentacle Meisters in here; sorry folks.

What to expect in the proper file:

Spoiler

MimicSus.gif.0d0443208d242fc02d6318b1f70a8cfd.gif

Quick explanation:
My mistake was forgetting one folder in the file structure, wouldn't have caused crashes or issues beyond the Sexbound part not working. HOWEVER...

Little word of advice:
Always
clear out older versions! A monster with two supports breaks, and Starbound is notorious for not recognizing which one is newest properly! This is for everything installed manually.

Also, quick edit, but the Mimic support, of course, requires Sexbound, and Sexbound Defeat to fully work. If the mimics get you, you (hopefully) get to enjoy a little animation.

But again, apology folks, enjoy your tentacling.

I would like to share one very funny but interesting bug. it doesn't spoil the game in any way, it doesn't break anything. This is a purely visual bug.

I have installed a mod for the Neki race from the Steam workshop. in this mod, clothes for neki have a specific appearance and animation, unlike classic clothes (although these differences are practically not noticeable to the user). I noticed that for some reason the Peacekeeper uniform for neki does not disappear from NPCs when they fall into traps. this looks very interesting, in my opinion)))

Previously, I asked you, dear modders, whether it would be possible to make sure that some of the clothes do not disappear from NPCs and characters when they fall into traps. Maybe it will be possible to somehow take the clothes from the mod about neki as a basis for this purpose?

Hi, so I'm having an issue where when I try to warp down onto one of the new tentacle planets, it does all the warping animation, goes to the loading screen, and then pops me right back onto my ship. any help would be appreciated
