Hey, I'm having a weird problem. When I create a new character and enter the initial planet to explore, the game immediately teleports my character back to the ship if the character reaches a specific location. I think this issue is indeed caused by TTPP, because when I close all Mods and only keep TTPP itself on and completely delete the archive data, this issue still occurs. This log data is generated with all my Mods turned on.

so from the starbound.log you get booted because the game cannot find "ttppchallengedoor" which is a tentacle version of the vanilla underground challenge doors and can teleport you to a tentacle challenge room(which can also be accessed via the quest hub infinitely if you have unlocked that)

 

this issue can only happen if you had the ttpp mod previously and then removed it but in your log you have the TTPP2.7 loaded which is needed...

so it seems that the game cannot read that certain "ttppchallengedoor" object? because Caused by: (JsonParsingException) Error parsing json: bad string, should be '"' at 3:38

but when I look through that file on my end there is no issue to be found and a json checker validates it...

 

I have no clue how you got this error but I would suggest to re-download the whole mod, somehow it got damaged either by a bad download?? by you?? a virus?? I've got no clue so weird

if a re-download of the mod does not fix this issue for you, we can try other options that take more time

Now I know why, I made a stupid mistake. I inadvertently removed a comma when I unpacked it to look at its code, and then my software did an autosave causing me to not notice the change. Thanks for helping me to analyse it!

I LOVE so much of this!  I really appreciate the addition of pieces that have victims OTHER than humans.  ❤️

A suggestion for the future: a stone version of the teleporter.  Preferably one that's just the 'base' without the top part.

Hello, Not sure how to do this if I;m doing it wrong cause I've never messaged on LL before.
But I have an issue, This mod causes my players world gen to break, making my character repeatably teleport back to the ship, any fixes that may help so I can use this?

To identify what exactly is your problem we would need your log file, that entails everything we need to figure it out.

You can find the log inside your starbound folder under /storage/starbound.log

Please only send us the text document without a number in the name

Just from your description of the problem I think its either another mod that is causing the issue or perhaps an older version or mismatched mods compatibility, maybe even used a mod to generate the universe and then switched mods on a different character that is visiting the same universe?

It could be from many sources that is why we need your log.

How would I get you this document?
and it even cause this issue without other mods installed.

The mod is extremly good, but new animations and a planet in 2.7 feels a little bit bulky and requires some work. Though I like that that there're new expansions added to this mod. What I'd like is I'd like to see more traps in dungeons and tentacle-related missions...  Oh, yes, I would like to ask, would it be possible to add Eternal Traps? Like, you can activate them with nods, and activated trap imprisons you for good, unles is broken or turned off. Would be nice)

Could you be more precise in your description? We want to make the mod better and with more information on what exactly you didn't like, we can more easily improve the mod.

 

We plan to make more use of traps in dungeons and missions after we find a solution to the long forced animation because not everyone is happy with that. There is the idea of a struggle-system so people that want to be caught can but people that don't can escape + items or gear that can protect against it... many plans but not enough lua knowledge.

Eternal Traps are possible but need some custom lua code changes and I have not yet started on learning and understanding lua ...someday for sure.

Hey hey so seems my game keeps randomly sending me back to the ship, mostly happens when I go digging but sometimes I can't even walk 3 steps to the left/right without getting send back and it seems your mods causing it ( putting my log files here if that helps ) ((also also it may show a fatal crash that was not caused by your mod but by sexbound defend so ignore that ))

 

 

Also wanted to say that I love this mod and It would be nice if you used more Traps or enemies that somehow trap you

So what I get from your log is that you use the compatibility patches of MPI and SIP without having the actual base mods?

The files I put for download here are only compatibility patches that allow the base mods of "more planet info" and "spawnable item pack" to also effect ttpp mod content but you still need those base mods or else issues as you have described could happen

Either A) remove SIP and MPI patch mods from your mod folder as they do nothing on their own or B) look for "more planet info" and "spawnable item pack" mods on steam

 

For your suggestion do you mean the traps should more often appear in game or do you mean they should appear in more variety/ more new and different types?

First off, I'm a moron and not good at modding your a live safer for telling me does are only patches, second off more variety and new types of traps would be what I think this is missing but I'm not a Spriter nor coder so I don't know how hard that would be

 

but really Variety would add a lot more as for now I think there are only 7-ish? (might be wrong but its not a lot) adding more types of traps would add a lot ( thats atleast what I think I don't speak for everyone and this is your mod after all so feel free to do whatever!)$

Hi,I have a problem of keep failing to load to the mission world and beaming to the tentacle worlds,

I even delete my old players and universe files and kept only the ttpp mods in my folder to restart, but the things just dont work out,

And I got kicking back to my ship while exploring the vanilla planet.

Here's my log, Im really hoping you could see if there's something wrong.

Glad to hear you like it!

 

The issue is that you use the compatibility patches for MPI, SIP and Enhanced_Storage_Tentacles without the needed base mod for those.

Those will only do something IF you have the corresponding mod already installed (Example: TTPP MPI needs "More Planet Info"-mod to work correctly etc.)

honestly building of this, yeah would love more variety and random spawns of the traps too. would also be nice if you could add more to the larva too. they're just enemies afaik. unless that was the intention.

Here is a spoiler for what I'm thinking of including in the next update:

-alternative shop: vending machine that can select tentacle type and offers each race objects

-speech by non human race animations (over 1000 lines of new dialogue)

-new tentacle type: verdant (plant tentacles), reskin of old animations + plant related objects in shop

-tiered crafting items (t0 = living tentacles, t1=petrified tentacle, t2 = verdant tentacle -> higher tiers found at higher difficulty, more planned for future!)

-ocean floor big dungeon (cthulhu/ocean monument mesh up)

-some plant related dungeons in colorful, toxic, giant flower and swamp biomes (maybe more later for forest and jungle?)

-2 new questhub missions

-more monsters (no sex animation

-hopefully a solution to the trap issue when I get to learn lua...

-new misc objects mostly stone tentacle related and vending machine variations

-tenant dialogue improved

-include some of the numerous feedback suggestions

-improve the new door trap animation

 

MAYBE, PROBABLY NOT

stone tentacle themed planet / verdant tentacle planet

big overworld verdant plant related dungeon (many ideas)

more trap types, existing traps reskined for stone/plant

converting last remaining 19 animations to the new race system

I seem to have run into an issue.  One of the randomly spawning challenge portals (I believe it's called the wriggling challenge), the one where fight a "boss" character wielding a tentacle gun.  It takes place in a very similar map to the NPC's girl's pocket dimension.  The boss is taking no damage from any weapon I'm carrying.  :(  I can hear the weapons connecting, but there's no damage numbers, and her health isn't going down at all.

That sounds like a common issue with defeat mod, do you use sexbound defeat? To further look into that your starbound.log file would help if you can provide that.

I'm actually not running sexbound defeat anymore; I took it (and terattophilia defeat) out a few days ago because I was getting tired of all of the monsters I was trying to hunt for meat and parts turning into sex nodes.  XD

I actually kept playing for some time after that happened, and had to restart to check some other things, so sadly that log is overwritten by now.

Okay, so it happened again; the "boss" at the bottom of a tentacle dungeon on an ice planet (who was also armed with a tentacle gun), was immune to normal weapon damage.  Thankfully, he was not immune to status ailments, so I eventually managed to kill him with poison.  I saved and quit right after, so hopefully anything pertinent will be near the bottom of this log file.  Posting it here while I also take some time to try and poke through it.

I am so down for more specific race choices and dialogue for them. Trying to cycle through and get what I want can be a pain. Presumably this is both proximity dialogue and the other ones? Not sure how to categorize them, exhausted.config and pregnant.config, that stuff. Or is it just the non-proximity stuff since those don't show a portrait?
