So, might have been asked, but I'm guessing the tentacle planets you're making are just going to be similar, but not conflicting with the tentacle planets from the tentacle planet mod? Resetting my current universe and contemplating adding it both as a temporary stopgap until the new patch and as a more dangerous and less horny side of the tentacle universe, but I don't want to do that if it'll conflict.

Yes, don't worry. You are not the first person to warn me of possible overlap conflicts.

The current idea is for them to be vanilla endgame content, so they will spawn in fiery systems Tier 6.

I can be persuaded to make them spawn in every system but I'd need some arguments for it as I think the universe is already filled to the brim with tentacles in this mod.

maybe have it as an optional file so then people can have them spawn in every system if they want while others who don't want them to spawn in every system can have them not spawn in every system?

have you thought about adding alien appendage to the weapon shop? along with a sexy upgrade version? its my favorite weapon in starbound and basically the 1h version of the tentacle gun

It's called Eyemitter and its just a small glowing background orb/eye with 1x1 size; same graphic as the lights, we have 2 versions of it "Eyemitter 1 ♥️" and "Eyemitter 2 ♥️" with different background sound effects

I have 2 questions:
1. I do not understand what the requirements are for "Tentacle Gazer" and "Hypnotic Watcher" to appear from their spawners. Can you tell me how to fulfill the requirements for their spawn? I would also like to ask how to spawn them (I know about facial expressions) because I tried all their names and nothing came out.
2. Why can I catch a "dog" in the capture pod (I do not know what else to call this creature that looks like a demogorgon), but "Hypnotic Watcher" and "Tentacle Gazer" are not susceptible to their capture? (I think this is due to the fact that they can catch the character and play the animation).

They can be spawned from their spawners by activating it with any wire input. They cannot be captured in a pod or spawned with a command because they are not creatures, they are 'vehicles' with custom behavior, if I remember right.

Mostly correct but there is actually a spawn command for vehicles in admin mode:

/spawnvehicle tentaclemonster1

/spawnvehicle tentaclemonster2

I don't know why, but the Hypnotic Watcher and Tentacle Gazer, cause me strong 0,5 - 1 minute freezes.

Whenever I encounter these monsters, the game freezes.

Or loading the environment freezes for a moment, as if something could't be loading. It's weird and annoying.

Probably some mod compatibility issue is my guess. Could you provide a .log file for a game session where you encounter one?

You can spawn them using a few items from the Tentacle Prime, so that you don't need to find them naturally spawning. Y'know, speeds things up.

You can either find it randomly spawning, or you may use the command '/placedungeon ttpp_land' to spawn it as you please.
You may have to use the '/admin' command before the /placedungeon

This command should work for all dungeons, as long as you know their ID. As well, for what I know, it's likely this dungeon will be more common on the upcoming TTPP tentacle planets.

It has a low chance to spawn on tundra, jungle, snow, savannah, forest, desert planets.

Awesome stuff as always.

but some more questions about future updates:

 

1. Submission Poses - I’m a little surprised that there’s isn’t any like females that have just fully submitted to the tentacles and just become static poses. I know about the Sex Cultists, but I mean just submissive slaves poses (kneeling, squatting, etc. etc). Mind control hentai shit, yes. But would make sense for sex obsessed cultists.

 

2. Species Tabs - Any way we’re getting a specific species tabs in the tentacle breeder? I know we can go out into the universe and just find specific ones, but is that in the works? (Novakid light fixtures are still a desired addition)

 

3. More Familiar Poses - I know that more poses are in the works, but what about poses that already exist? The humans get a lot of their own poses while the rest don’t get what they get. Any plans on that?

 

4. Hair - Going to add all variations of hair later or do we just get what we get? Randomized hair for humans would add a lot more spice…

 

5. Mods and Addons - Weird question, yes I know but it’s stuff that I’d like to ask.

     A. Fragments of Ruin - Race mod that works very well with this mod. Any thoughts to use them? I can imagine whole settlements using this race. Heck, Ruin Ships filled with these guys would add a whole new level of immersion!

     B. More Planet Info - more of a immersion issue then anything else, but any thoughts on this? It’s just I’d rather know if this temple is for Kluex or for someone else.

Currently you can buy a random victim object from the shop and hope it becomes the desired race, in the future we have a shop overhaul that is exactly that: species tab, but not in the next update, it's planned for the one after that.

The Novakid light fix is difficult to implement on the random victim object but should be easily done when they have their own species tab.

Yes. One of our artists worked hard on the conversion and we have a bundle of more poses for all races in the next update coming.

The only issue I see currently is spawning the npc with the correct hair, I think this can be solved but It's low priority and a lot of work because some assets have animated custom hair and not just one vanilla hair file.

A: I endorse using that mod for immersion but I don't want to steal stuff and just use their stuff for our mod. If someone gets the ok from those devs to use their work with our PORN mod perhaps something could be done in the future but I won't be the one asking for that.

B: Yes. We have plans to add MPI support in the coming update. This will probably be text only with the same TTPP placeholder image so you recognize instantly its from our mod and by reading the text you get a clearer understanding of what kind of dungeon it is. 

We have many dungeons and I really don't feel like making fitting images for each one.

Is it weird that somehow, with this mod literally just being a porn addon, that I'm somehow viewing it more as a universe expansion? Like somehow the tentacles are the most natural continuation of the base game lore? I guess it's just a testament to the quality of its implementation so far that I view it as a dlc level addition in its beta phase.
