My event log is filled with "Could not find texture due to 'VFSOpen Error: gfx/models/portraits/attachments/male_clothes/secular/northern/war_nobility_01/male_clothes_secular_northern_war_nobility_01_normal.dds not found'" error. Paradox has .dds files under the corresponding folder, while CBO does not. I will try to copy files over to see what would happen. Edit: Was not helpful lol. Log spit the same error. CBO is not currently compatable as Paradox renamed just about every model and clothing file in addition to its regular changes and additions, Mange is working on a patch but it will take a bit 5

raindragon456 Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Now I play version 1.9, there is no animation at all. If cbo will make a version for 1.9, please request a simple vanilla style. Because these days have been in the game for a long time. The graphics of the game are not much. But it takes a long time to open the game in a weird way. In fact, there should be a pacth to enter the game easily. Reduce unnecessary graphics and play only mod h
fanyudexin Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17,

CBO crashes with me also constantly when loading! Even when I load only minmale mods that need CBO ... CRK3 version 1.9.x! Probably a new CBO version is necessary, inclusiver all Compatibilty Patches/Mods

CRK3 version 1.9.x! Probably a new CBO version is necessary, inclusiver all Compatibilty Patches/Mods yes the window_event.gui needs changed and is the primary source for crashing. The main reason for crashing after that is in the gfx/models/portraits/male_body/male_body.asset and female_body/female_body.asset file. version 1.9 added animations in there for the updates and would crash without them. Also like someone mentioned earlier, version 1.9 is looking for DDS files of all the clothing models in the char_body_overhaul and they don't exists because it's using the vanilla dds file. I don't know if that's the reason for crashing as well but it does spit a lot of errors out in the log file.
Tomcody111 Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Paradox just had to break everything. Looking foreword to update. Was going to start a new run anyway....

cowboyhenk1 Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 will this mod require a new save file (when it's updated)?
helioskrill Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 mod doesnt work right now with 1.9 crashes on loading menu. a pitty.

Ah, well. Looks like I'll take this mod (and Carnal Court, it looks like) out of the rotation until a fix is in. No big deal.

If that person is then I won't try to fix it. If we haven't heard anything, I will look into it and try to fix it for 1.9
LueRV Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 I wish we can roll back to old patches or stop updates so our mods will still work :((((
RoxDox Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 1 hour ago, LueRV said: I wish we can roll back to old patches or stop updates so our mods will still work :(((( You can. Right click on the game in steam and go to the Beta tab. You can pretty much go to every major mod version.
NoNickNeeded Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 The problem with that are workshop mods though. They auto-update too, and if they are made compatible with the new patch, they are probably broken with the old one. I suppose it would be possible to convert workshop mods into non-workshop mods, by copying the folder from steam/steamapps/workshop/ect. over to your mod folder and make the .mod files for them... but that is quite the hassle, depending on how many workshop mods you are running. Does turning off auto-updates for a game also extends to the workshop mods for said game?

When I activate CBO with the current version of the game, the game crashed before it even gets to the main menu. As RoxDox said, you can use Steam's beta feature to roll your CK3 back to the previous version, then the game would work with the current CBO version, but due to me running quite a few workshop mods, rolling my own game back isn't an overly appealing notion to me. Unlike mods downloaded and manually installed (or the game itself), you can't just roll back Workshop mods that have already been updated, unless you made a backup copy before the update hit, or someone uplaods a "legacy version" or something similar on the workshop, specifically for people wishing to stay on older versions... but that only very rarely seems to happen for CK3. There's also the issue of the latest DLC. Since it was made for the current patch, does rolling back to 1.8 render you unable to play that DLC? I haven't tried it, but I would expect that to be the case. Edited May 23, 2023 by NoNickNeeded

There's a website that has archives of many (every single one I've every looked for) CK3 workshop mods. The in-website search isn't perfect but it usually comes up on google if you just search the mod name, and at the bottom of the page it has every revision of the mod (sometimes if two updates were posted to Steam in the same day or so it doesn't have one of them, but it's not really a problem). 1
