This one:

  seems quite straightforward, install Core, Data, and optionally Bodies, done.  But then i stumbled across this one

that claims i need to install Resources too and download a bunch a whole lot of other mods.

 

Which of the two guided should i follow?  Do i need that Resource mod too if i'm installing SexOut 97?  I'm aiming for a minimal installation of SexOut with sex being enabled through dialogue only if that helps.

1 is for Sexout NG itself and is really outdated.

The other is specifically for Sexout Common Resources are is up to date.

that's fine and probably intentional. SCR overwrite SexoutNG

Well I don't know why when I installed everything correctly with FOMM and when I activated the Data ESM the game opens but when it loads the screen to play it always crashes, I remember that before I could play it but now I don't know how to download it again... how sad

sexoutNG isn't working, it freezes before the main menu. I've done what is recommended for the problem. I've verified that it was sexoutNG since it only crashes when I turn on its plugins and downloaded the game via steam. what else could the problem be. could it be a problem with my mod manager? I use vortex so I don't think that is the problem. what am I missing and what should I try to fix this?

Please see my post above your post. This guide is over 12 years old by now, and really not up to date anymore.

it's still not working, i downloaded sofa, sexoutBeta and their requirements same thing, downloaded All of the framework mods still crashes before getting to main screen, i even tried to download sexout and sexoutBeta alone and it still crashes. it is only sexout and sofa that is making me crash i can load FNV normally but whenever I turn on either of them it crashes.

Have you installed all requirements from the 'list of mods' requirements-section?

Someone recently reported an incompatibility between NVSE 6.4.X and nvse_extender_ng.dll.
But I don't know if it also causes a crash, the topic is here:

 

You can either try using NVSE 6.3.10b instead, or use NVSE 6.4.2 and remove nvse_extender_ng.dll from SOFA.

 

I wanted to try installing NVSE 6.4.2, but my antivirus software says there is a Trojan inside: Trojan.Heur.TP.ky8@bWBLpkai
It is unlikely that there is a virus because the source is reliable and Nexus also checks the files, but I am waiting to do some research and compare the files with those in the GitHub repository before continuing.

- Fallout NV up to date with Fallout 3 (same) on TTW 3.3.3 mode (sworks fine).

- NVSE 6.3.10

- using SOFA 1.6

 

Anims works, save the fact that automatic TFC when a scene starts stays in upper the characters (cab't move)? Any ide what could cause this ?

 

Plus, how to start a scene (which mod) like whe wan do with Sexlab Romande for Skyrim ? I ca do with sexout toys but...

Okay Iv'e resolved the scene starting. Not the fairly brocken TFC mode ...

for some reason I discovered that the problem I've been having only happens with sexout beta 8 and not beta 5 so something I between those updates is messing with my game. also, I don't think it is the script extender incompatibility thing because I quickly looked into the files of both version and both have it, so it can't be that unless there has been a change to it.
