Veta Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Just list the games you have played the you don't think got the attention the deserved, so that the rest of us can play them . ( some of them may have gotten attention but not as much as they deserve ) Singleplayer TO THE MOON ! Super Hexagon <----(hardest game I ever beat ) Terraria Metro 2033 Multiplayer : AirBuccaneers Blacklight RetributionTeam Fortress 2 Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad
windpl Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I do not want to be picky but TF2 unappreciated? ;o And metro was just bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even when getting it for free (and you could get one for free, duno if they still give it away) Same for RO2, I played shit load of RO1 but RO2 is not the same as original. Smaller maps, few tanks, meh I feel like battlezone was one of unappreciated games.
Strelky Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Duke Nukem forever, I have no idea why it is rated so badly, I loved it Also, Serious Sam 3
Veta Posted April 8, 2013 Author Posted April 8, 2013 The fact that people play TF2 doesn't mean it's appreciated I see loads comments calling it too dumb, for kids, calling the classes OP and many more , I honestly think it's a great game I've put more than 140 hours into that game which isn't something which I can say for many other games . Not this Metro ( I know it's not a metro , just go along with it ) all jokes aside Metro 2033 was one of the most atmospheric games I have played the world felt so realistic and scary truly an unappreciated game . I just got RO 2 for this bundle I have played 12 hours and I have enjoyed myself thoroughly it seem like a child of a slow tactical fps and a war sim , it is pretty awesome.
Nonsense667 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Final Fantasy *Drum roll* IX. Seriosly. It's the one damn game of the series I've actually played (though still didn't beat) and NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT IT. EVER. If you just went by what people talked about, you would have all the old school final fantasies, I - VI, the "modern" ones, VII, VIII, and then X, X-2, XI, XII, etc. Never IX. Ever. Period. Doesn't exist.
woodenstick Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Legend of dragoon, played it after my PS2 broke down. Don't know why everyone hated it, since I enjoyed it immensely even though I had already played next gen games (those PS1 graphics looked awful ) And more recently Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I thought it was going to flop after watching the early trailers, but it ended up being pretty damn amazing. Not sure if it belongs in an unappreciated games list though, it got good reviews and ratings but didn't really get the hype of games like skyrim or mass effect
Nonsense667 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Dammit, stole my other one I was going to post. Legend of dragoon was awesome! Such a sexy, sexy combat system. Would love some sort of new sequel, or graphical remake.
Valgo Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Starfox Assault Impressive Spacefights, which beat even the ones in Lylat Wars (imo) + Panzerlevels + awesome bossfights + running around and shooting with many different weapons + many playable Chars/maps + the ability to fly even the wolven + great overall design AND:Standing on a fuckin Wing, shooting with a plasmacannon and destroying god damn robots like a boss. It was just great. Many Game Cube games are way underrated.
LostATurtle Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2, hands down the best RPG I ever played. Played like a classic turn based without any gimmicks, beautiful graphics (I know graphics aren't what makes a game great but for the PS2, this thing was absolutely beautiful), great story line, great boss battles, a fair amount of side quests that fantastic rewards without breaking the game, and a fantastic ending. I've heard that the Dragon Quest franchise is pretty big in Japan but I never actually hear people talking about it over here.
HanPL Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Fahrenheit - Brilliant Game Silent hill 2 - For me it's the best game ever, beat it 38 times. Spec Ops : The Line - One of the best storylines of 2012 and ending....you remember it for loooong time.
Vulgaris Magistralis Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Luigi's Mansion was extremely unappreciated, however I wasn't very good at it, haha. I agree wholly with Metro 2033, I got nothing to add, but yeah it really wasn't appreciated as other games are (Bioshock: Infinite) ...I got nothing else to add...
Veta Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Also The Cave is quite fun and really engaging, haven't heard a single good word for it some people don't even know the damn thing. Don't Starve manages to capture survival in a realistic yet fun way . Overgrowth has a great scope even though it's a little pricey for an unfinished game . And my beloved Proteus ,I could easily call it the Journey of the PC's
formel Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Game of Thrones has not the best graphics and mechanics but a great story a good opportunity to get further involved in George R.R. Martins world.
Hernite Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I would have to say Privateer. I loved that game and I wish they would either remake it or continue the series. Only Wing Commander game I could get into.
Emily Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 All big fish games. There aren't many people play puzzle games anymore and many recent us\jp games lose their entire good ole timeless classic puzzle factor. Bigfish commission potential 2D artist and editor to create the most wonderful game ever played without retarding their player intelect overtimes.
Mailamea Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Urban Assault is a very good example, back when Microsoft doesn't have publishers for their own games. One of the hardest FPS/RTS classic games out there.
Asariphile Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I hear a lot of hate over Final Fantasy VIII, though I enjoyed it quite a bit. Granted Ive only played VIII and X. Also, JRPGs are one of my most despised genres so even liking one is high praise from me.
zonderbunny Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 I always thought Dragon Warrior was pretty under-appreciated. I thought it was pretty fun and properly difficult. Beating that game was really satisfying. Any of the Tales series (Tales of Abyss, Tales of Vesperia, etc).
Emily Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Pangya. This is the one and only fantasy golf of it's kind. It's one of the most and greatest hit in old school mmo. The game eventualy retarded overime with the death of See.D as pangya art director.
Veta Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 diablo 3 How was diablo 3 unappreciated ? even deaf people had heard of it .
masseffect Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 even deaf people had heard how bad game the game is
Veta Posted April 12, 2013 Author Posted April 12, 2013 even deaf people had heard how bad game the game is I believe we both agree it was a bad game , so why call it unappreciated ?
