Up until about 15-18 hours into the game everything was fairly stable, but afterwards the game started to crash when loading from a save, it wasn't often at first, but as time went on the ctds became more common, now, 25+ hours into the game, it is impossible to play.
It doesn't happen in any other way, only on loading screens, 2-10 seconds into loading.
I've noticed that it wouldn't crash the first time I load the game from a menu, but should I try loading again, just 15 seconds later, the game crashes.
My saves don't exceed the string limit.

Also, it doesn't matter what cell the game was saved in, as it seems to crash just about everywhere, my older saves work fine.

Troubleshooting I've tried so far:
-disabling mods
-cleaning my saves with SaveTool
-launching a game without skse
-removing/tweaking Skyrim, SkyrimPrefs and enb
-allocating more memory
-various "crash-bug-ctd-etc" fixes from nexus

Any help would be much appreciated.

Before you did start whit your messing whit SaveTool you should perhaps considered to sort your loadorder!

 

What tool have you used for installing your mods?

It's sorted with LOOT, installed with Vortex. Masters are clean.

If you haven't done it, try starting a new game. Play for a while, save and close. Load that save and see what happens. Sadly, it sounds like your save got corrupted at some point in the past and that only tends to get worse with time. Unless you have an old save that predates this problem I'm afraid that your current game is, well, Kaput.

Bad news... Well, considering that it didn't happen for about 16 hours, I'd have to play for quite some time in order to merely test things.

True, but that's where Uncle64's advice comes in. Do what you can to stabilize your game before restarting. If you haven't before you might want to look at this:

In my opinion the best guide to building a stable Skyrim LE game.

 

BTW, I sympathize. I've lost games at mid levels to this sort of thing and started to try and make a habit of saving an older saved game if anything wonky happens so that I can go back to it.

I must ask OP if he uses Vortex, do he let Vortex sort his loadorder when he deploys his mods? or do OP ignores Vortex varnings?

 

I've sorted it with LOOT outside Vortex, there are a few conflicts, that I've configured manually.

With this lo you will never get a stable setup.

A mod changes this direction, some slots down a mod changes to opposite direction.

All those adding of creatures and npc is messed up by various different mods not to speak

Of spells.

Loot cannot handle this or a bashed patch. If you want to keep all this stuff you need to sort out

this manually.

I guess if you open that setup with xedit, you will see more red then green of overwrites.

As far as I know all mods on the list are compatible with one another, but I'll totally work through the list manually. I've always thought better of LOOT tbh.

Why do you have 2 bashed patch esp's?  Looks like only 1 is active, idk, never seen that before.

Unless you had turned off Vortex's autosort it will have been overriding LOOT every time you exited Vortex. That being the case, doing a 'sort now' would have had autosave sorting an already autosaved LO - so no change.

 

Your LO is a mess from top to bottom.

Get rid of all those inactive esps so you can at least see what your actual load order is.

Make sure you have the patches you need and no patches that you don't need.

LOOT and Vortex will both tell you if you have any missing masters.

You have a lot of mods adding a lot of NPCs to your game. If your game memory is not properly configured then you are looking at problems.

You have several instances of two or more mods doing the same thing.

25 19     dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp    You can get rid of this as XPMSE does ragdolling.

Try installing xpmse skeleton. You need to run fnis and check skeleton arm patch? skeleton patch? in fnis. 

 

Do you have crash fixes, i think that gives info on crashing?  As much I dont know anything about papryus logs, you could probably throw that up and maybe reupload LO,without deactivated mods? 

 

What has happened in game in between playing good and dorking? Did you start/finish any quest mods you have? And what about outside of ingame, did add or remove mods, change you LO? 

 

You got some big mods in there, you got a good rig? And what are working with for textures? pushing 2-4K's? 

 

When you say you have a save that wont load,ctd. Is it an absolute, or is a case of its struggling so bad but would load say 1 out 7 times?

As I've said, I have all the skse "fixes", all the ini tweaks, I've checked my LO with vortex, loot, wrye bash and a LLI skyproc patcher(this thing also tells you about missing masters) multiple times and none of them show any missing masters, all the conflicts(there are about 2-3 of them) are configured in vortex, all the disabled mods are in fact enabled, just merged in bashed patch, yeah, there are two of those patches, I know, it's nothing, I was just lazy to delete the old, unused one, my LO was intact from the very beginning to the very end and all the memory tests show everything is fine.
I suspect the problem is somehow related to Rumiirua Apocalypse from Sands of Time, it's the only thing I can think of.

Anyway, thank you all for the help, I'm going to investigate mod conflicts in xEdit, possibly coming up with a few patches, remove every non-essential mod and start anew.

So basically you do not know what you are doing and are just guessing your way to a solution.

 

Having 'all the SKSE fixes'  (whatever that means) and 'all the ini tweaks' (whatever that means) wont help if the stability tools aren't used or are incorrectly configured or the wrong ini tweaks are used.

If it was a missing master your game would not start. If it was a missing master then Vortex would alert you. None of LOOT, Wrye Bash or the LLI thing would tell you anything Vortex didn't.

This doesn't make any sense: "all the disabled mods are in fact enabled, just merged in bashed patch, yeah, there are two of those patches, I know, it's nothing, I was just lazy to delete the old, unused one,".

What are 'all' these memory tests?

Why do you suspect this SoT mod?

 

1. Get the stability tools installed and configured correctly - double-checking any manual edits you make, especially in enblocal.ini

2. Delete the old bashed patch and disable the current one.

3. Disable all your mods using Vortex. You can leave Alternate Start to make things easier.

4. Check that the vanilla game works. New game, not old save.

5. Add mods a bunch at a time checking as you go.

6. Once you have all your mods loaded and a still have a stable game then think about the Bashed Patch.

 

A stable Skyrim will go weeks without a CTD.
