RezTheFatal Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 For some reason I seem to have a lot of trouble installing this mod correctly so if anyone has the time I have a few questions. Â Which version of SCR do I use the beta version or the latest stable version? Â When I install Breederdata do I overwrite the files from pregnancy v3? Â Do I still need the files from the maternity clothes pack? Â Â I appreciate any answers since I enjoyed previous versions of this mod.
Valarien Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Maybe the last mutation for the ant should be a temporary thing? or something
ForlornForsworn Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Alright, I encountered the Ant Drone problem at the start of it and it seems disabling Brutal Rapers solves the issue.
017333 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I have a question. After you're finished with touching up the wolf mutation, do you intend to continue expanding it and Fenris or are you going to move on to other projects? I'd been thinking about that idea for a heat cycle. You could add in a mechanic where it plays off of the dominance and submission themes, and your scent could make Fenris distracted from regular activities while you're in it. For example, he could receive a small debuff to his fighting ability, for lack of a better idea at present. Fenris might also try to reassert his dominance over you much more aggressively, to the point where you'd possibly need to scuffle with him to keep him off of you and subservient. Your character could also experience something, like a similar debuff from elevated horniness or temptations (possibly with a check?) to submit to him and let him have his way with you. If you give in, or lose to him in the struggle to maintain your dominance... Obviously he would take advantage of that and it would be a guaranteed chance of impregnation since you're in heat. Â I'm just trying to think of a special set of sexual mechanics for this mutation since the deathclaw mutation has one with the womb, and so does the ant mutation now by increasing the number of eggs you can output. This would be something that fits right in with the theme of the topsy turvy relationship you have with Fenris while adding a touch more of the animalistic element, and still relates to pregnancy or breeding. You're in a state where you're ultra fertile and smell very, very enticing to him. He gets pushy, possessive, and maybe even a little desperate about that fact. Just like the animal he is.Plus, I noticed that if your attributes are high enough, you can pretty much win the ability check every time against Fenris to keep him submissive. Something like this where it's based on a different mechanic could balance that out, if it is deemed an issue. The way it works could be something simple that is separate from the fertility system of pregnancy too, like a temporary time where your interactions with him change that eventually passes? The way things are set up now, if he is already dominant he could come at you hard like the coyote alpha from the den does. He could even wear you out from repeated abuse and the game time could skip ahead a few hours for effect. If he is submissive, as mentioned before he would try much harder to become the dominant one. The difficulty of checks against him could increase, or you could have a duel with him to stay on top. And then there is the possibility of a check for the player character to resist giving in to him due to the heat. Â But really, I would just like to see further interaction based on the mutation after he's changed you. But that can wait, (or not come at all...) I just thought I'd detail what I've thought of so far for it.
Soap desu Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Interesting ideas for Fenris. +1 to you good sir.Â
YumiChan19 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Yeah that's a good idea, I'll see what I can do. How long should you remain in heat, and what's the cooldown period? Â Â maybe repeating cycles of 1 week in heat 1 week out of heat? or 1 week in heat 2 weeks out. Or if you want the schedule in days, then perhaps 3 or 4 days in heat 3 or 4 days out
ForlornForsworn Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I am encountering an issue where I keep getting a statement where it says that my character failed to orgasm onto the egg and will have to start all over again even when I am standing on top of the egg basically.
Valarien Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 and maybe you can remove the in heat effect by getting knocked up?
ForlornForsworn Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Gotta crouch/sneak over the egg. Â Â Ah. Thank you and sorry for the trouble.
Soap desu Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Still wonder what the special thing you coded for next update is lol. Also heat for 2-3 days sounds good.
Feralcus Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Indeed, around three days to a week sounds fine, although an MCM option sounds in order here. Here's a question, would there be a way to suppress or lessen the effects of "heat"? Like perhaps wearing power armor, or an elixer tthat must be taken every 6 hours or so? Then of course eating that plant outside of fenrises cave could artificially trigger it.
Soap desu Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Aw no updates ;( oh well more to look forward too tomorrow. So keep a save b4 spawning room?
Soap desu Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Ok will do, thx prob do another run through tonight then.
Degeneracy Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 So Thinking I screwed up somewhere, i reinstalled game and reinstalled mods(with re-dl). Still a problem with easter portion of the mod(I know im behind) but upon getting all eggs(no cheats) and then talking to user 29 in the vault after dialog choices the scene doesn't start and I can only pan camera up and down and zoom in/out.  If this helps
017333 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Sweet, they turned out to be good ideas. The heat would certainly add a tighter integration to Fenris as your companion, especially if he can be used to "cure" you from the effects. Â Duration should depend on what most are comfortable with. I'm fine with 1 week in 1 week out or 1 in 2 out. Since it would change Fenris' behavior towards you, it might not be a good idea to have this as a thing that is too frequent, but it probably shouldn't be a rarity either. Or as Feralcus suggested, you could have the option of adjusting it via MCM. Â That aside, it would probably be a good idea to brainstorm more about what kind of effects the heat has on your character, if you ignore it. And Fenris too, beyond making him really want you. And I do mean really; I'd envisioned his level of want as being on a scale of where he is almost but not quite trying to rape you in order to sire his pack. I guess I feel that way because it shouldn't necessarily be mandatory, but it could come close to it without crossing that line. Again, mod designer and majority rule would win out. If most are fine with giving him this amount of power over you then there isn't really a problem. I personally don't care either way. There is also the MCM, maybe even to determine the difficulty of resisting his advances. Â I also agree with Feralcus about including ways to reduce the effects of the heat or incite it, but this seems like something that would be more for expanding the concept later after its implementation. As for the effects... I am not entirely sure what the best approach is, but I do have some thoughts. It could hinder your perception because of a distracting itch down below. Maybe it also does the same to your charisma because your character would find it hard to concentrate on socializing with others due to discomfort. You could have the prompts that would test the player character against submitting to Fenris based off of the intelligence statistic to represent their willpower. Mental drawbacks and resistances seem a nice way of handling things on the players end since the heat would mess with their libido. Â For Fenris, maybe his AI could be tweaked a little bit? I'm only thinking of this angle because it wouldn't make too much sense to debuff his level, strength, or endurance values to make him a temporarily poorer fighter. That seems too cheap and artificial, but I have a difficult time thinking of other ways to do it in his case. Lowering his perception might not have much of an impact, but it would be good for flavor. Your scent is overpowering his awareness of other enemies. A charisma debuff doesn't work for him because he doesn't interact with anybody else, he's an animal. So, it seems that lowering perception and frequent attempts to gain control over you while you're in heat would be the better path. Maybe his efforts are based on a different statistic check than yours, like instead of intelligence to resist the suggestion of giving yourself over to him, he would just try to brute force it which likely means strength or endurance, maybe evasion with agility. But, you do have to wonder how this differs from the current system unless the checks are harder... That would be why I thought of the duel alternative, perhaps allowing you to beat him back with your fists and rough him up a bit because he won't take no for an answer. And if you lose that, he gets to have his way with you and becomes dominant because you failed to defend yourself. Then again, the system could also go into skill, trait, or perk territory? Â Whoops, got carried away again. Anyway, I'd like to know what others think of these ideas, which sound the most fun. And your opinion as well, user29. Â EDIT: Forgot to mention that Fenris acting this way would probably be optional regardless, considering that the heat would likely be tied to the later (or last) stages of the wolf mutation. Â EDIT2: Have been experimenting with the updated version, noticed that the mutation has a charisma debuff now as a tradeoff in the equipment menu and had agility lowered to 4 and perception to 3. Balancing, right? Under the EFF menu it still lists both values as being 5. And it doesn't recognize the negative charisma. Just pointing it out, though I didn't start from a fresh save. Just overwrote the files and reloaded my game.
leseras Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 This is really late but I've been searching around red rock and looking at the tips but I can't find anything after 2 hours. Really pulling my hair out here. Would appreciate a more exact location.
leseras Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Alright thanks got it! I kept trying to scale the path with the water instead. *sigh* Anyway, I presume the end of the hunt is your avatar thingy banging the PC?
Degeneracy Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I think I found my problem, with the DO NOT TAKE tokens, they were on a body when I used loot all button, now they are stuck there. Is their a way to remove them w/o clean save?  Edit: Yea clean save, gathered eggs, and now scene ends.
saladboy21 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Not with Breeder, but Loot All has been my bane with BrutalRapers before.
saladboy21 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I did not uninstall it, though I keep Stalkers off at all times. I just have to be careful post combat-rape looting, and turn combat rape off for any story mods where it might become an issue (pretty much any breeder mod included, just in case)
saladboy21 Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 I suspect that has more to do with FNV and less with your scripting. Either way, I try to turn off anything that might seize control of PC or NPC behavior while playing them (and other story mods) except Pregnancy.
Halstrom Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Not with Breeder, but Loot All has been my bane with BrutalRapers before. Â Yeah I try to have a self kill in all my token sripts so they delete themselves on death, but that's sometimes not possible.
Feralcus Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Yeah, new vegas is fairly broken at the best of times...  Also some thoughts.... 1. I noticed one of the anims for the ant queens wings is one that does infact move, would it be possible to apply that movement to the player version? 2. Also something I noticed during the "cutscene", was that when those fire ants attack they shake their asses in a way that suggests it could be used for a better ant sex anim. 3. Mini ant queens. They could be an alternate source of nectar? Or be assigned as queen attendants, perhaps a player companion? With the logic being to train new queens to run sister colonies? Or something... < It might be cool...
claimer Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Got a problem with ant quest. the eggs doesn't hatch. Everytime i place some eggs in the nest, a message appears that there is no egg currently mutating. i've placed 20 or more eggs already.
