rZconner Posted June 20 Posted June 20 this is just a suggestion and i doubt anyone wanna give a shot but any one think they could give this one a shot? This one looks so freaking good and lore-friendly, but i can't for the life of me get the conversion right nor how to do so correctly since this doesn't really have a bodyslide file other than using the vanilla body in FO4 anyone wanna give a shot or help me convert this to Vanilla to FG? i think the mod author said, with permission, you can make a bodyslide/CBBE or FG with this mod. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/100781?tab=description : the mod is called Milsurp Uniforms and Equipment, this looks REALLY awesome

I think this one is included in the latest Fusion Girl (v1.89). Or atleast one cbbe to fusion girl conversion set. As for heels and shoes, I simply crop the feet (mask -> separate vertices) of the reference shape before converting to FG. That way the heels part stay in original shape and upper part changes to FG shape. (I'll write more instructions soonish)

Conform - Set body shape. Select the meshes that affect the feet area and use the add brush to fix any clipping. Its not perfect but it works for personal use. edit: some outfits adjust the height with heels and those are messy - hopefully one of the skilled conversion people have done those! I want to learn because there's sooo many not listed that I want to do here is a quick guide that will work with most items that are built with CBBE bodyslide files already. Google guides like graf's and others for more detailed ones. This is primarly for personal use, to publish one would require more detailed steps which I am not interested in to be honest. I will go over a quick guide for the outfits that do have CBBE bodyslide files. 1 load project into to outfit studio (File > Load Project) it will call up all sets with a .osp file 2. clean the the outfit (remove the current CBBE body and CBBE Feet in meshes and remove all the bones in the Bones tab (highlight all of them and right click > remove from project) 3. load the conversion reference (file>load reference and choose convert CBBE to Fusion Girl) 4. conform the sliders (sliders>conform all) 5. set Body shape (adjust CBBE to FG slider to 100%) then Sliders>set Base Shape 6. Load Fusion Girl Nude body (file>load reference>select Fusion Girl Nude) 7. Copy Bone weights (meshes tab>Select all the meshes (not the body) and right click one of them>Copy Bone Weights (defaults might work but might have to go higher)) 8. If this outfit has High Heels, go to sliders on bottom right and find highheel slider, adjust it to match the heels with as little clipping as possible. Set feet to this position (slider> set base shape) 9. Conform the sliders (Slider>conform all) 10. Fix any obvious clipping with tools in the tool bar (add volume, decrease volume, smooth etc) Play around with it, if you mess up just unload the project and start over. 11. Test sliders for morph clipping. The main ones I check are Pregnant Belly, Big Boobs, Chubby Thighs and Big Butt. If you see clipping on any of these, note the area, reset the slider and increase volume in that area until you no longer see any clipping, go slow as not to deform the area. Little motions are better then having to start over. 12. Save the project (file>save project as) 13. for consistency I add FG to the end of the top box, and the bottom 3 boxes (make sure its before any file extensions) for example Tank Top FG.(osp or ini) IF this outfit requires the body (usually including the shoes/heels/boots) then leave the box for reference body checked, otherwise unselect this. Only the body slot 33 item will normally have the Body as part of the outfit. 14. One done close Outfit Studio and Bodyslide. I use MO2 so the Tools folder will be in overwrite, save this as a mod and add FG to the back of the name and activate it. 15. For ease of use create a Group File you can select in Bodyslide with batch building. Go into the mod you just created (inside MO2 folder under mods) and open the tools folder, select the bodyslide folder and right click to create folder SliderGroups. 16. Add the XML that you will use to select you items. Inside the folder you just created right click and add a new text document. Rename it to match the name of the mod you created and change the extension to xml. for example Piper Mashup Outfit FG.xml 17. Load up bodyslide and go to the group manage tab, select Browse and find the xml file you just created. In the box to the top left in the box with add or remove enter the same name as the mod you created (Piper Mashup Outfit FG) and select add. Highlight that item once it appears in the box above and the items to the right will now be available. Find all the items you created for this outfit and once highlighted hit the Add button. (note you can select multiple items not close to each other by holding down the control button) Save the xml and you are ready to batch build the items. 18. go the middle top box where you select the groups (hit refresh to be sure the new item will be there) and select the outfits you would like to build including the new outfits you have been working on. You should now be ready to batch build everything. 19. Once this process is done exit bodyslide - save you new meshes in a mod normally labelled something like FG Bodyslide Files or something similar. 20. Go in game and try on the new outfit, check for any clipping or odd results that might need to be fixed. Its not uncommon to have to repeat this process a few times to get an outfit perfect for your use. If trying to layer outfits you might decide to increase the volume of the outer layers so they fit over the ones below is another reason to make adjustments. Go back to step 6 if adjustments are needed (load the osp you created with the FG at end) and start with the Fusin Girl Nude Body - Redo the the Bone weights if needed, Conform All in sliders and fix any clipping that is needed by in game inspection. one final note, if you are doing an outfit that has gloves there is an addition step that will need to be included. After you have done the Select all meshes and and right clicked to Copy bone weights in step 7 you will need to load a full body reference that includes hands. You will not select the gloves mesh (only) if its a separate mesh item and copy bone weights for this mesh only. If the gloves are part of a full outfit skip the initial step with FG Nude body and only use the reference body, select all meshes and Copy Bone Weights. Proceed to step 8 and continue on with the process. I will include the Refence body here for convivence, it is in the threads of the BS/OF discord and is provided to anyone who requests it. this is a VERY BASIC guide so there will be things that might pop up that require more research. If I have forgotten a step or one is unclear, can someone with more experience point this out please. I am no where near an expert on doing this but enjoy making sets for myself and occasionally sharing them here. FG Full body Reference.7z

sopmod Posted July 2 Posted July 2 someone should really update this thread, a lot of newly added conversion is not added to the main list. I think the original poster of this thread is no longer active can we make a new FG conversion thread? or at least edit this thread?

And some of the links in the first post are dead, and it's been years since splashzone has posted anything. That said, are you prepared to put together another thread? Or were you wanting to volunteer someone else's effort?
