ZeX - SuperMutant Skeleton Ragdoll fix

Overview

This is an override for Leito's Supermutant Skeleton & Body to fix the issue with mutants freezing on death and being unable to ragdoll. This should allow users to have sex anims with SM's without worrying about them being unkillable or broken due to the new skeleton. 

 

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

This skeleton comes with everything (Body included) necessary to fix this issue As such

1. Make sure any mods that modify SM's to prevent them from dismembering (UAP or whatever it is) is REMOVED

2. Make sure any skeleton tweaks for Supermutants are REMOVED

3. Load this mod in 

4. Profit

 

Failiure to read these instructions will only get you pointed and laughed at...

Anyway... If you READ the install instructions, you would know you need to uninstall ANY other mod for Supermutant skeletons and bodies. Going in and deleting a random file won't solve your issue and while your mutants may ragdoll you won't get proper sex anims as you just did a 5head move and deleted the Havok file to register the new bones in the supermutant skeleton for animation, therby breaking any SM anims that use them. Not only that, you literally still had files from another mod present, so that's on you for it not working. 

It's not that hard to take 5 minutes to read a mod's description instead of investing -200IQ into just deleting random files willy nilly and acting like you stumbled on a fix.

I use Ulfbearth Creature Resources and the Freezefix esp provided as a separated download but still had some SM freezes, after deleting SM files from that mod and using this one, the freezes looks to be gone when using vanilla stuff (weapon, nades etc).

 

Now it only happens if I use custom bullets(?), I have a mod called Service Rifle and it has a special gun that has an ability to explode on impact, like pray n spray but much stronger, and in some cases the SM dies wight gibs and blood but the body still freezes.

 

Do you have any idea why it still happens in this scenario?

Ulfberths patch was a mandatory workaround and not a full fix. You must completly remove it to use this fix which fixes the problem at its base.

you mean i have to deinstall every supermutant mod? install yours and finally install the supermutant mods?

No.

No other SM Skeleton mod, UAP, or any patches for SM sex anims other than AAF config XMLS should be installed.

Basically: Make sure nothing overwrites files from this patch.

Please redirect to the install instructions - Any files that conflict with this have to be TOTALLY REMOVED, for example leito's original skeleton, anything from UAP or whatever it is. Even when overriding for some reason, The mod will refuse to work properly if you still have skeleton files from another mod, even if this mod overwrites it.

Well this still isnt working for me, I'm sure I'm being dumb but I cant figure out how.  The only two mods I have(afaik)that do anything with supermutant skeleton/body etc, are leito's animations mod and creature resources,

 

I removed them both

installed this mod

reinstalled creature resources but deselected the supermutant files so they were not installled.

edited leitos zip to remove any files related to supermutants(as you dont get any options during install) then reinstalled it.

 

confimed the only skeleton/body I have is from this mod, nothing tried to overwrite it, still not working.

 

I'll keep trying, must have missed something.

The best guess is to install the conflicting mods first and then this fix last.
in case of Vortex establish correct rules and in MO2 place this mod after any other conflicting mod.

 

if this doesn't work then there's another file associated to the files in this fix that causes problem hance the recommendation to completly remove any conflicting mods and not just the files.

Thanks for the reply! I didn't know that, thanks for the info. I did remove any SM files from that patch and am only using this atm but the casual freezes still happens, is there any info I can provide to maybe help debug this?

Maybe a list of files we can MANUALLY delete from our game BEFORE installing this fix? I followed your rules to the letter, and it seems to have lessened the problem dramatically. But, there is still SM's freezing in place, especially via custom bullets. I installed the MK18 weapon, which uses 2 types of custom bullets.

I'm still poking it further. It seems to have fixed for most people, but I'm unsure why there's occasional issues.

I've made a mod before this mod. To make SMs turn into goopiles when dying(add a perk in SM race) to make sure I can loot their bodies everytime. But it makes SMs T pose walking. Don't know why. The SM skeleton is really strange.

I have tried all the methods available including this one, even on a new game install on another PC and freezes continue to pop regularly no matter what if i don't use the vanilla skeleton.nif and skeleton.hkx. By the way i use only vanilla weapons and no mods that affect the weapons damage or such.

I tried with or without also the SuperMutantFreezFix.esp that only removes all the limb damages configuration (what is crap by the way).

 

For the moment the only way to get supermutant work fine is to just use a model with morphing and the vanilla skeleton and to add morphing settings in the animationdata.xml for each animation.

 

By the way i also had many difficulties to make morphing work correctly for the human male, now it works but the new system with integrated morphing seems not very reliable or easy to make it work.

There are so many factors that can spoil it that even me with many years of using AAF and making animations, i have pull out my hairs at a point that i'm almost bold now!!

I'm not sure why it's not consistently working at all. I've been using it fine & I don't have time for looking further at it. 

 

As I noted before, I don't have any other mods that would affect Supermutants or add anything to them, At All. Just these files alone. So I can't tell you what breaks it, other than I know that any other skeleton installed with it will break this mod if not completely removed before using this one.
