katrina.balanchuk Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Also still hoping this might get expanded for different races and/or factions locations. How about a DC that is almost all blk or asian or hispanic?
siqueiradaniel Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) for anyone using addictol 1- uninstall any face texture mods 2- Go to Addictol ini file and change "bFacegen=" from true to false the mod should now be working without any mismatched textures Edited April 8 by siqueiradaniel

Since newer versions of FO4 come with baked-in facegen for base game NPCs now, what you're seeing is the vanilla (literally as well as figuratively!) raider faces on darker bodies. This is how I fixed it for my playthroughs, no guarantees it will work for everyone but is worth a try. The basic steps I followed to create it are: ย Start perchik71'sย Creation Kit Platform Extended for Fallout 4 Choose File -> Data ->ย WLBlackMaleRaidersNuka.esp -> Set as Active In the Object pane toggle the checkbox to show only active forms Navigate to Actors -> Actors and shift-click select the whole list of raiders there Ctrl+Shift+F4 and confirm to export facegen data Exit CKPE without saving changes just in case you accidentally edited something ย Make sure CKPE is configured to export facegen geometry as well as textures. Other instructions say the magic key combo is just Ctrl+F4 but that didn't work for me, maybe because I'm on Linux. Also you may need to adjust CKPE for your face texture resolution, it defaults to generating 2K texture files. ย For people who don't want to go to the above trouble, I'm attaching the bundled output for 2K faces here as loose files, because trying to add BA2 facegen overrides for base forms may not work as expected, I'm not sure (at a minimum it would need an extra dummy plugin). If @WanderLustReduxย ever updates this mod, feel free to include these files or add them as a separate download or incorporate the above instructions wherever might make sense. Everyone has my permission to do whatever they like with this fix. ย Edit: Oh, and I meant to mention, it's done as a mod, so you should just be able to drop the below file into your mod manager. I installed it with Vortex and it's working in my game, so probably fine with MO2 and others as well. ย Vaultbait Facegen Black Male Raiders.7z Edited August 17 by vaultbait 2

My performance is not so bad (at the moment) that I'm overly worried about avoiding loose files, and I wasn't sure how well it would work out for overriding base game facegen files, but if it's working for you (without forcing facegen off in Addictol) then I take that as an indication it's fine. ย Edit: It's worth mentioning that playtesting your mods (I had never gotten around to trying CS since you first released it, and only previously tested the very initial NR versions that were just a robot with a pickup truck) is what caused me to revisit BMR at all, so thank you for giving my fucked-up life some additional meaning!
